Noticed a lot of take outs. People also stopped by to take their pizza next door to the bar. This is not your average pizza place. It does take a while to get your pizza. We ordered the wings and were done with that... and the pizza was still waiting to be served. I'm sure those take outs had something to say about that. I really enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients and simplicity of good ingredients with good equipment and technique. Nothing was being hidden, instead every component was highlighted. There is a very nice menu for non-pizza dishes that is exceptionally good. Everything they do is home-made, including Gelato and other desserts. They use DeCecco pasta which is arguably the best pasta you can get - and not cheap. They also make their own bread which you can by for $5 a loaf - a bargain. They really care about using the best ingredients. It is not a big space - maybe holds 25 people for dine-in - but you can take out anything on the menu. They do not have a liquor license yet but they will do BYOB and they will take reservations. If I lived in the area I would be there at least once a week. This is such a great example of a wonderful local restaurant that is so far above chain trash. The calamari arrived and may have been the only highlight, although we didn't find it to have that fresh calamari texture. My wife ordered a ravioli with mushroom, and felt the pasta and veggies were just swimming in butter.
