Popped in again for the Pizza Parmigiana and a Juice Bomb IPA. We love to visit midafternoon before the crowd and be indulged by that VIP customer service. Per usual the Pie was poppin and the beer was served up cold! My only drawback is the state of the restrooms, they are not the cleanest. Signed, The Happy Hour Huntress

We had a great experience at the Dutch Crown en route to some Catskills camping. Just us and a dude at the bar - service was fast and friendly. We shared a beer (local Kolsch from Return) and ordered a pepperoni and CBR (chicken bacon ranch). These are thin sourdough - something I look for. Our daughter wanted fries for the table. They were delicious. Pizzas we great, too. CBR was lighter, so it actually felt a little healthier as far as pizza goes. Just the right amount of ranch for flavor but not drenched. The pepperoni is the decedent of the two - tons of ronis, dripping in roni grease. My son requested ranch, which was a good choice. 2 pizzas were a good amount for our family of 5 (3 small children). We would definitely visit again! Chill, relaxing, low key, and kid friendly.

I ordered for delivery and they didn't start making it until the driver arrived. Sausage was so burnt I could barely chew it! They could've had a little bit more care making a pizza. I paid how much extra for each topping and they just threw the basil on there in such a rushed way. this pizza was 25$ why accept the order if you're not going to make it when customers place the order. I've gotten this 3 times first time it was great!! Next two times I was very disappointed.

They lost a star because of their non-pizza related food. Went here on a date, we started off with fried calamari and there were random fried vegetables included which I've never heard of or seen before. I bit into an onion thinking it was calamari, they had other vegetables in there too. I thought I ordered fried calamari not whatever I got. Their pizza though, is absolutely phenomenal. Thin crust, different sauces, delicious pepperoni, fresh, decent sized. It def tasted like good quality. I got the Drunken Pepperoni which was 5/5. I will def be back to try their other pizzas, as well as other non-pizza related food but will avoid the calamari at all costs.

Happened to be passing through Poughkeepsie and this restaurant got high ratings, so decided to try it. Food was out of this world. Garlic knots were the best we ever had - so much garlic YUM!! Kept it simple with meatballs and pizza. All was delicious. Highly recommend for some good beer and fantastic food.

The neighbourhood vibe they've created from opening. I have many favourite pizza spots and these kids have grabbed a spot on that list. Personal, friendly, honest, engaged, they've got the tools to be amazing and are working them. Fantastic Job! We'll be regulars for certain. Darrin and Kevin

Rounding up, more like 3.5 New pub in the old Spanky's location which has sat vacant for decades. The inside is really cute and homey and welcoming. There is a bar with a TV, some tables in the bar area and more in a second room. It pains me to write this because I really want them to succeed and I want great sourdough pizza near me, but we've visited twice and both times the pies have fallen a bit flat. First visit we ordered the riccardo with sausage on half and we got that, but it was also missing the potatoes and rosemary and was really bland. And the crust was too doughy and undercooked. I love thin crust pizza but it has to be crispy. But they had just opened and figured their would be some growing pains. Second time we ordered take out and went with the classic house pie. Again the dough was just undercooked, the flavor was a bit better, but very sparse on the cheese. Also ordered a side of meatballs which tasted great, but were very pricey at $12...the same price as the pie. Not sure why the pies are so undercooked but I think it must be their their oven. The pizza photos they share on social media look so amazing, but the pies we've had just don't look like that. It's a family business and they all seem like very lovely people, so I really hope they figure some things out and it improves.

Great little dive bar. Excellent friendly service. Delicious sourdough thin crust, juicy San Marzano sauce. Our server and the cook staff were great. The dark hardwood floors and dark walls and bluesy music makes for a really chill lunch w beers after a walk across the Mid Hudson Bridge.

Highly recommend this place. The pizza is great, the fries w/ the aioli on point and the atmosphere put the finishing touches. Chris the owner is a great dude and his staff loves being here and is easily seen. Had both the vodka sauce and the red sauce both are phenomenal. The drunken pepperoni pizza prob a fav. Don't wait for Portnoy to rate this place a 8+ and gets slammed. Do it now !

My sister got the steak frites, and she enjoyed it. I got the falcon fries, which were absolutely delicious and mildly spicy, a perfect seasoning to them. I also got the Grandma Detroit Pizza. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it because it was different, but after my first few bites, I fell in love. The bread was thick and quite crunchy, but it was tasty. And the spicy chili flake sauce was too good to pass on. It wasn't too spicy. The service was fantastic and kind. The waitress that served us was very kind and didn't disturb us when we were busy eating. The ambiance was very cozy and relaxing. It wasn't very loud when we were served, making conversations easier to make. And the warm lighting gave us good vibes. All in all, an amazing first time trying out the restaurant that left a very good impression on us.

It's just too expensive. Honestly $25.00 for a burger and fries is just so unreasonable, and all of the sandwiches are about the same price. The cocktails are insanely expensive and the beer is exorbitantly priced. Here they are brewing the beer themselves - there's no "middle man" to pay, and I was charged $11.00 last time for a 10 ounce pour ! The poor value caused me to hold off on ordering a second serving. And then I just decided not to because it was a rip-off. Also, on my last experience, I ordered a flatbread pizza and it was not good at all. First of all, when you hear the word "flatbread", you're thinking something on the order of crust that is definitely no thicker than 1/2 inch, BUT, this "flatbread" was THICK like Sicilian style pizza and that's not what I wanted at all. I asked the server about it, and she confirmed "Yeah, that's just how the kitchen serves them." It was hard to eat. The crust was super crunchy (no chewiness at all like a thick bread should have) and all of the ingredients on top were falling off with every bite.

It's one of those places where you can immediately tell the owners care about both the food and the overall experience. The atmosphere is beautiful. The restaurant has a classy, Great Gatsby-inspired feel with elegant décor, plenty of space, and a spotless dining area. I loved the attention to detail, and the bar area is especially charming--it's the kind of place where you could easily stop in just for a glass of wine. We started with the hummus served with warm pita bread, and it was fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. The chicken empanadas were another favorite--crispy, flavorful, and served with fresh pico de gallo that complemented them perfectly. I also enjoyed a glass of wine, and it paired beautifully with the meal. What impressed me the most was the hospitality. My daughter wanted fries, even though they weren't on the menu, and the chef was kind enough to prepare a fresh order just for her. That thoughtful gesture meant so much and really showed how much they care about their guests. The service was exceptional. The chef came out to greet us, and our server was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Before we left, they mentioned they have live music on certain nights, which gave us yet another reason to come back. This is truly one of Beacon's hidden gems. Between the delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, outstanding service, and genuine hospitality, it's a place I'll happily recommend. We already know we'll be back!
