I'm glad we stopped in here for a quick and easy lunch! Prices are reasonable, and there are plenty of options for a slice. We did 2 each, which was probably over-doing it, but the flavors were solid. Between the grandma's slice, the white pizza, chicken bacon ranch, and the veggie, there was plenty of variety. Is this the best pizza I've ever had? No. Does it get the job done? Yes and then some. A caveat is that because we did by-the-slice at around 2pm, nothing was super fresh. We particularly enjoyed chatting with the owner. He mentioned how he'd started in the Bronx and moved out here for a slower pace of life. Great guy, super engaging if you take the time to initiate the conversation. Shared a bit about his background too. There are a few tables inside, but I'd imagine that during the school year over lunch it gets pretty busy. Will have to try carryout some time. read more

My 2nd time here and definitely not my last. Super friendly counter staff. Cash is king - pay with cash it's cheaper. Don't judge a book by its cover here - the joint appears old and outdated, like a pizza shop from the 80's, and I love it. The ambiance gives off that friendly neighborhood feel. I got a meat slice (odd name), had pepperoni and meatball. Sooooooo delicious. Crust was perfectly crispy, a vibrant sauce, and a generous portion of toppings. I work pretty close to here, and I have a suspicion I will be on a 1st name basis with the staff before long. Jump on in and give then a shot - you'll be happy you did! *note : parking can be a bit crazy, so keep your head on a swivel when pulling in/out. With Marist and DCC close by there are a lot of young inexperienced drivers in a rush. read more

Fantastic sauce and crust is a combination of a fantastic slice. The place surely doesn't seem much from the outside, or even from the inside, but you would be pleasantly surprised. A wonderfully pleasant owner greeted us and told us stories about the old days owning a place by Yankee Stadium. The tomato sauce went great in hthechicken parm hero. I would have liked a little crispier bread and seltzer options but what a wonderful surprise Bronx pizza was. read more

Worst pizza I've ever had in my life tastes like it came straight out of a box the cheese was all slimy and nasty. They messed up 5 pizzas and wouldn't make it right. Gave me expired soda as well the pizza was so thin it was like eating a piece of paper. Would never recommend this place to any one they should be shut down!! read more

The food was horrible I thought it would be a nice idea to give this place a try cause I was having my daughters birthday near by I get five pizza 3 plain 1 pepperoni and one sausage they give us all cheese and the pizza was so gross nobody at the party would eat it on top of that they overcharge Me from the original price on the phone the soda is expired so I call and complain they say I'm a asshole and I've never been there even tho I have the receipt would never recommend this place I wish I could post picture of this cause it's crazy read more

I was born in The Bronx, so finding a truly decent authentic Napolitano style pie has been a challenge. Bronx pie crust is perfect: crispy crunch on the NY "fold". A good chew on the crust rim, slightly sweet fruity sauce that delivers a true tomato punch. Great balance of cheese to sauce to dough. And served with a smile. YEP. I liked it a lot. read more

I would like to start with the good...My husband and I really like there chicken Cesar salad and the pizza is good too I'd say everything I've tried so far was great for take out food, that being said the other night I want to try there pasta e fagioli and it was a disappointment! It was made with LIMA beans! Yes, Lima beans needless to say terrible!! I think someone needs to know it's supposed to be cannelloni beans...I hope this helps for next time. read more

Started ordering from here in July. Veal Parm sub was delicious and tender. Ordered another time, again delicious. They were on vacation for 2 wks so it's been a while. For convenience on a long day we ordered today. Same veal parm as it's my husbands favorite. I expect 45 minutes as w most places & what the guy said when I ordered. I called after an hour & was told delivery would be any second. It arrived in a couple minutes and we should've checked. Fried ravioli all & sauce were cold. Had to reheat. My veal sub was mediocre and lukewarm ; my husband's was chewy and thick and couldn't be eaten. Top it off? There was a cooked carrot in the sauce. Just once I'd love consistency in a takeout place. Maybe it was better when Marist wasn't in session. $40 waste of food because it was important to chew. Won't order from there again. Disappointed. I gave it 3 stars bc the first couple times we ordered it was good. read more

Bronx pie pizza is the secret weapon of Poughkeepsie. Their wings are crispy with just the right amount of heat and the pies are true to their name. Get quick service whether you walk in or call ahead. Bronx pie also has delivery. They don't have a lot of seating so scour it out ahead of time before bringing a group. read more

First time ordering. Called in a delivery order for a large regular pie. Was told about 30 minutes and about 40 min later delivery arrived. Price was right at $11 and it was hot and fresh, so no issues at all with delivery. We were disappointed in the pizza. Crust was too doughy, chewy, rubbery even - not crispy. Sauce had a nice tomato flavor, but otherwise, the pie was pretty bland. Better pizza in Poughkeepsie, so sadly will skip this in the future read more

We ordered a large pepperoni with fries and garlic bread for delivery. The delivery time was pretty good, but the delivery guy's car looked filthy - full of old cigarette boxes and other trash. However, the food was really good! The pizza cheese and pepperoni topping tasted really good quality and the fries were really golden and crispy. The bread also nicely done with great herbs and chopped up garlic. The food itself warranted a 5-star rating as far as fast food goes, just the state of the delivery car really put me off. read more

Excellent pizza and experience here. Classic New York style. Crust was very thin, more so in the middle, which is exactly how I like it. Sliced sausage was a positive. Delivery was quick and everything was correct. The only negative that I could find is that it was somewhat small for being a large pizza, but I'll overlook that due to all the other positives. horrible. racist. misogynist. i have been going to this "business" since their location on academy st. years ago. i order the same thing and never deviate from the order. i was verbally told that during the evening you have to order at least $25-$30 which is not written anywhere. none the less i obliged because i understand the plight of small "businesses". that being said the owner messed up my order and i expressed that's fine but i want what i ordered as i ordered it. the owner was rude and belligerent over his mistake. due to it being close to closing time i took everything i ordered back and requested a refund because of his behavior on the phone. then when i explained ppl make mistakes he refused to apologize and allowed his son nick to disrespect and threaten me. he was so rude his driver walked out. the wife was the only respectable person there and they didn't even respect her when she said stop!!!!!!!!! i will never support them ever again & i suggest you dont either. no respect no business. they arent even from the bronx read more

Had a very unpleasant experience recently through Grubhub. Ordered shrimp and broccoli over angel hair with a side salad. Received a tin of shrimp and broccoli, no pasta, just a salad. Called the restaurant up to let them know about the confusion and was treated with absolute disrespect. They told me I didn't order pasta, I explained it was in the description, I even offered to pay the additional price for pasta but the owner told me it wasn't worth it for the driver to come for just pasta. My bf and I have ordered from here a few times now. When our food arrives, it's always hot and fresh tasting. Our favorite is their Grandma Pie. Not having grown up in the area, I'm not sure why it's called this, but it's delicious. It's a rectangle pizza, smaller than a normal circle pie, but nice thick crust that more than makes up for it. the sauce has always been consistently delicious with it's fresh tasting big chunky tomatoes, fresh basil and whatever seasonings they put in there. If you haven't tried it yet, you should go ahead and do that soon. Start with the plain cheese. Adding toppings almost takes away from how delicious it is on its own. read more

I don't normally leave reviews, but I thought this place was worth it. I was taking a driving course down the street and decided to scout out the area for pizza and was told about this place by someone from the area. The owner is one of the most amazing, personable people I have ever met, so friendly and sweet. While I was in there an older woman walked in with her daughter, she clearly had financial problems as she was borrowing money from her 11 year old daughter. I think the owner noticed, and offered her free drinks. The pizza was amazing too! I got two plain slices and the cheese was melted and thick, the bottom of the pie was crunchy so that you could almost hold it without it bending, but the top was still soft and not overcooked. It was easily the best pizza I've had in Poughkeepsie. I recommend this place to anyone that enjoys good people, good food, and good prices. read more
