I came back and this time it was the owner and her daughter. SUCH LOVELY PEOPLE!!! They are pleasant and courteous and just some of the friendliest people you can meet. The daughter even got me a glass of wine and talked with me about the messy reality show that was on the tv. I hate to do this update but i have to be honest because i left the shop this time feeling a bit differently than last time. I got more services, paying $100 (almost 3 times more than what I paid the first time); I wasn't as enthusiastic with what i walked out with. Particularly my toes. I got a manicure and a pedicure and while the manicure was AMAZING the pedicure was not done particularly well. When my little slippers were being put on she scraped my big toe. I asked if id moved (Even though i know i didn't i just didn't want her to feel bad because she was so nice!) She said it was fine. I thought she'd redo the nail but instead she just painted over the bald spot causing a kind of translucent dip and very thick paint. I didn't notice until i got home that several toes weren't painted properly. Also, i finished removing the dead skin because there were spots still left. Although, i must say, she did remove most of it and it was easy to get the patches left behind (I'm sure its easy to miss some and my feet weren't in the best shape). I'm going to repaint my toes tomorrow, and while I'm at it, I'll have to touch up my nails because the paint is already coming off the edges and there's a small chip on my left thumb. I understand these things can happen but i wouldn't imagine on the same day I've had them done. Also since i got the gel i thought it would last a bit longer. So overall not the way i saw this going but because its such a friendly welcoming environment id still come back. read more

Venus Nails & Spa is under new management and the new owners are FABULOUS! My husband and I went by today for pedicures and we had the best time chatting with Faith and her husband Nick. Faith and Nick are redoing the interior, making it Zen and super relaxing. They offered us water (they also have wine) as soon as we walked in, treated us like royalty, and went above and beyond! I'm going back tomorrow for a manicure while my husband is at work, and next week - a facial. Now that Venus has new owners, this hidden gem needs to be in the spotlight! read more

I don't particularly like this place because they do not have a lot of options for color. I have been here a number of times since 2018. But never been my place... I went here today because I knew I could get in and out.I decided to bite the bullet and if I have a hard time picking a color I will just go with white. I walked in and as expected she only gave me one book not even full of color options. I asked her to help me pick a color and she ignored me. I said okay. I will just do white. My ten year old daughter got a children's manicure in white. She did not actually use white on my nails. They are like a pearl color. I am assuming to save herself money she used what she uses for tips... either way it's not white the label said natural color. I posted some pics of my daughters white nails and mine which are like a sheer white. I also have chucks of dip left around my nails. She then charged me 80$ for a regular dip and a children's manicure. Their pricing says 40 for a manicure and pedicure. She seemed very surprised I didn't tip her. She pushed me to use Zelle and that wasn't an option for me today. When she was doing my nails she knew it wasn't an actual white she tried to push me to put chrome on them. I didn't accept her offer of chrome bc I actually wanted to see the color she did. Also she just put some lotion in my palm and told me to rub it in myself. She also doesn't trim your cuticles and lastly what drives me crazy which she's done more than once... she instructs me to wipe the old dip off myself while I'm soaking. Pretty sure with that 80$ I'm paying her to take off my old nails not take it off myself in her acetone .. Can't say I'll be back I'll just be over here chipping away the dip off my skin read more

I've never left a review before, but as a long-time customer, I felt the need to give you a heads-up about the manager's attitude regarding a recent issue with a new employee. The manicurist did a great job on my pedicure, but the basic manicure took over an hour due to repeated cuticle removal and nail painting. Frustrated by the time it was taking, I asked the manager if the manicurist was new since it was the longest manicure I've ever experienced. She laughed and was basically rude. I received only a $5 discount (that's all?!), and while the manicurist offered to fix my nails, I didn't have the time. I expressed my concern to the manager, mentioning that I felt bad for the new employee. Meanwhile, other workers were doing manicures for promotional pictures on social media, leaving the new employee to handle my appointment. It was a poor decision to have a long-time customer used for practice. I'm not a model for them to practice on. Do better. I'm never coming back. So disappointing. read more

I called today and asked if they were busy and could I walk in. The person on the phone said there was no wait and to come on in. I drove over there and I was told that it would be an hour before they could get to me! I said that I had just called and was told there was no wait. She said that the person answering the phone isn't even there! SO, I would not suggest calling for an appointment or asking if there is a wait since whoever answers the phone isn't even at the location. Ridiculous! First of all about customer service, I'm disappointed how y'all had bad attitude and didn't have patience with customer. One tech was one alone to opened shop her boss came in at 11 am I think.. that tech lady was doing my pedicure till other customer came in. She had to hurry up and finish my pedicure. She gave me turn off. I wanted relax.. so she can do next with customer before her boss came in.. I wasn't happy with how she did.. then I paid and gave her tip not much this time . Went to the salon to remove my Shellac and this is the result. Awful job, rushed all the way through and not friendly at all. there are only CONS about that place : - Rude people : The girl kept tapping on my hand to make me move my hand forward of backward - I mean, you can talk to me lady. No need to hit my hands! - awful job : I just wanted the Shellac removed and my nails filed. Look at how she filed them! My nails were getting caught in everything, I had to go home and clip them myself. - opening time : Went there at opening, and nobody was there! Had to wait like 30 minutes in front of the store. I visited this place for a pedicure and an underarm wax. The pedicure was good. However, if you plan on getting waxed here (especially sensitive areas like underarms or upper lip) please, PLEASE don't go here. There were multiple issues with the waxing - 1) The wax itself was terrible. It was very sticky and wouldn't come off the skin, and the aesthetician ripped and ripped at it, in an attempt to take it off. Finally, I had to tell her to stop and just clean it off with some solution. 2) The technique used by the lady to wax the skin was horrible. She pulled in random directions, over and over in the same spot, and caused my skin there to be sore and irritated. 3) I walked out with burning armpits and in a couple of hours, I developed red rashes on both armpits. Sore, tender and painful. Add to all this, they've increase their waxing prices by $5. Terrible. I will not be visiting again. read more

Okay! Let me start by saying the reviews for this place are horrendous so I was really afraid to come here! I usually don't get white tip or almond, but I wanted to play it safe. I really really like the work she did! She was very nice and took her time with me being the only one in there. She made sure I liked the shape through every step! The only time she got kind of weird was when I paid with a $40 gift certificate, which covered the whole thing. I tipped her with card, and she was very nice when I was leaving. The nail technician I had twice does a good job with the nail polish which is why they get 3*. I had a regular pedi and mani pedi with the new stuff. Pet peeve: they show u colors on swatches but if u choose reg polish, its a different shade..a bit darker. Otherwise I would have given a 2. The first visit, she cut into my cuticles twice and I bled! I get once but 2x in a single visit.. I returned recently and ended up with the same lady. She used the grater looking foot tool all over my foot (when I think it probably is only meant for rough parts like your heel) and caused a gash into my big toe. (See pic). I realized I felt a burning sensation and I told her it hurts when I should have said you cut me.. when it was obvious I didn't have this coming in. Overall I wouldn't return again. Her carelessness or lack of finesse is not what I desire and is not relaxing. Also the man that worked there kept coughing with his mask half off. Gross..its flu/cold season man. I was in need of a pedicure STAT and luckily this place scored some good reviews and bonus it is close to my house. I hopped in the car and stopped in. I was happy that I was able to get right in without an appointment on a Friday afternoon. I sat down in the pedicure chair and received a pedicure for $30. I think it was a number 2 or 3 off the menu. My nail tech was very precise and worked hard to get my feet back into tip top shape. I loved the whole experience in general as it was relaxing but I will also add a little time consuming. I think my pedicure was a little over an hour. I was fine with it but I could see other times I wouldn't want it to last that long. No worries now that I know. One thing to note was the pedicure bowl was lined in plastic wrap. I assume for sanitary purposes. I noticed that they offered other services besides nail to include facials, waxing, threading, and even laser hair removal. I am an esthetician and not sure how I feel about a place like this performing laser hair removal. I can't really remark on it though since I didn't have it performed. Just something that made me wonder. Also please note you will save 5% if you pay in cash. Score! read more

Don't get me wrong I love the color and generally like the how my nails came out but I have NEVER left a nail salon bleeding. First she cut skin while clipping the cuticle. Then, on the same finger I must add, she filed soooo hard she burned my skin off on the side. She did this to two other nails. My fingers hurt so bad. He says he's too old to do sharp stiletto style on her nails. Then, suggested something that cost $50. She's 16 and I really hope they don't take advantage of people. With that being said. I just moved out here and this was the first nail shop I went to since I live in the area. I'm always a huge tipper and this was the first time EVERRRRRR I left without tipping!! My acrylic nails are chunky, my cuticles on my hands and toes were BLEEDING, and to top it off, I had 2 nails PAINFULLY come off within a week of getting them done because the application was horribly rushed!! Not to mention I'm a woman of a color and was neglected for 10-15 mins while I was literally in the process of her applying the powder, when a white woman came in the shop although I had been the only customer in there and someone else was servicing the other lady. I came to get my nails done Saturday not knowing it was for my surprise engagement and they took good care of my sister and i. The o my things i didn't like was that they didn't tKe their time and it shows. My nails while they look pretty tell a different story. They clipped off part of the fake nail on my pinky and when i told them they just filed the rest of the my nail to go with it.
