Our meal had great flavors throughout each item. The bread with balsamic/oil--I could've eaten all day; soft and fresh. I was surprised though when it came out in a paper bag: I thought presentation would be a little more elevated. Mushroom appetizer had some caps that were cooked more than others, as the crumbs on top were not browned like the center caps. The chicken was not moist or tender in the Ventano tortellini, which would've made the dish phenomenal. I did not like the texture that the chocolate chips added in the tiramisu. I think it threw off the consistency of the cake, as well as flavor profile. On the other hand, the staff was friendly and attendant--except after finishing our appetizer where we did not see our server for a little until he brought the entrees. Our drinks were never empty. One sore eye would be employees wiping crumbs from the table onto the ground when you switch from appetizers to entrees. You now have dirty carpet were guests walk around spot food particles everywhere, making the restaurant seem less cleanly. Also, the dessert menu was dirty from discolored smears across both pages The parking situation was awkward. You have your handicap right in front of the main entrance (which is an essential) but general parking is on the opposite side of the building. Inside the restaurant or on the porch, you have a beautiful view of the valley. The porch is adorned with faux grape vines that compliment the Italian atmosphere. read more

Food was amazing , service was good, all around very happy with my experience there. Great job guys

I love the food here! The owner was really kind and accommodating for GF folks! They even made GF bread for us!

Very warm, appealing atmosphere, dimly lit. Open, so can be somewhat noisy. Service is very good and relatively quick. Portions are relatively large. We split the Caesar salat and each portion was still adequate. I ordered only a cup of the lobster bisque, which was just right as an appetizer and The lobster bisque was exceptional, as good as any I've had. The lamb chops were very good. The brown sauce is not as pleasing to me as other "red/green sauces/jellies I've enjoyed. I was very pleased with th amount and quality of the vegetables that accompanied the lamb. read more

I got food poisoning from the lamb chops. I'm sure other people will have a great time here, my experience was just unfortunate. It's a beautiful place, the staff are nice, the food smelled amazing, it was just bad timing I guess. read more

My husband and I have been coming here for over eight years. I've written reviews before and they've always have been positive. the food is excellent and plentiful. The service is first rate. So....why three stars? I'll get right to the point. When we received the bill there was an additional charge of 3%. We were advised that since we were using a credit card they are now charging 3%. The logic is, that is what the card company charges them. We are now a credit card economy whether it dawns on the owner or not and that's the cost of doing business. Very few people if any carry around cash to pay bills. The other couple with us were really ticked off. When we complained we were told pretty much to go pound sand. Sorry but my protest will be I'll never go back to this restaurant. read more

One of those restaurants that have been on my bookmarks for a long time, I was finally able to visit them for lunch this week. I made a reservation via OpenTable, but for a weekday morning, it proved unnecessary. My friend arrived first and the host stand was deserted until I arrived a couple minutes later. There seemed to have been no host as one of the servers simply told us to sit wherever we wanted. We grabbed a table next to the window with a great view and fantastic light, but the table was dirty and it took some time before someone came by. The same server that greeted us finally brought some menus and cleaned our table before disappearing again. We waited again for settings and after we ordered appetizers, it was some time before we were able to order our entrees. This is essentially what happened for the rest of the meal (waiting for water refills, having to chase after a server to pay our bill, etc). Their complimentary bread is warm breadsticks served in a bag; served with balsamic and olive oil. They're nice (especially fresh out of the oven as ours were), though not particularly special. We started with a side of Meatballs ($6) and they are fantastic! Delicious and tender with a really good marinara. I would definitely go for the Meatball Hero. I also ordered the Chopped Salad (Half; $8.50) with grilled zucchini, bell peppers, artichoke, eggplant, mushroom, salami, ham, mozzarella cheese, marinated tomato, balsamic vinaigrette. First, this was one of the worst chopped salads I've ever had. Second, I asked for the dressing on the side because I HATE drowning salads, but it arrived fully dressed. It was miserably wet and unappetizing. This was made even more apparent with the strange addition of bread (as if it were Panzanella), but the ingredient isn't listed on the menu and it was so, so SOGGY. Needless to say, I didn't finish the salad and I am very glad I opted for the half order (even though $8.50 is still too much for this sad execution). The Linguine alla Vongole ($14) had Littleneck clams and I chose white sauce (I always do). The clams were nice, though the pasta was overdone and the sauce was unexciting. Overall, it was just okay. My friend ordered the Ventano Tortellini ($14): Cheese tortellini, chicken, mushroom, pink sauce; topped with cheese and oven-baked. This is where all the flavor is hiding! The tortellini still had a decent bite and the sauce was delicious. The baked cheese wasn't overwhelming either, so it was a really pleasant dish. I really enjoyed this dish as leftovers, too. Though I enjoyed the meatballs and Ventano Tortellini, it's very concerning that there was such a polarizing experience with another dish. Plus, the substandard service made us feel un-welcomed. My friend, not nearly as picky as myself, also felt that the meal was shrug-worthy. read more

Beautiful restaurant. The ambiance and the atmosphere is great. The food is delicious although the price does not match the taste. I had the lobster bisque and the chicken parmigiana. I loved the bisque. The chicken parmigiana is good too. Overall, I recommend this place to everyone that loves Italian food/ read more

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Our server, Carlos G., was one of the best servers we have ever had. Our dinner was delicious. During our exchange, Carlos discovered that we were celebrating our 40+ year anniversary. After our dinner was finished, he presented us with a plate with a serving of tiramisu on a plate with "Happy Anniversary" written in cocoa powder. We will definitely visit this restaurant again. read more

By far the best Italian food in Henderson! The Alfredo gnocchi is amazing, cheesy buttery, melts in your mouth. Also can't forget about the shrimp on a stone for an appetizer. read more

This is a awful place! The view and service was the best thing about it. My lobster bisque was runny and brown. The bread bowl was hard!

Well off the beaten path and well worth it to get better food and avoid the tourists. This is a great Italian option located way out in Henderson. As with almost anyplace in Vegas, the service excels. I was very impressed with the hot breadsticks served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar as opposed to the salty garlic spread at a certain chain. Our appetizer of lamb chops on a hot stone was amazing -- the lamb was cooked to perfection and without the grease that sometimes accompanies lamb. My veal Marsala was also excellent. Unlike many other Italian places, Ventano serves the pasta to the side of the entree as opposed to beneath it. However, they still provide plenty of the sauce to accompany the pasta. In fact, the fettucine with Marsala sauce could be a meal itself. I cannot recommend this place enough if you're willing to make a bit of a drive. read more

It was ok, it was a busy night so I figured the wait would be a little long but it was an hour wait to get out food. That's a long time. We went for our anniversary and when I made the reservation I was asked if I had any special request so I let them know if I could get a window table to see the view and the girl said of course I'll make it happen and sadly we did not get it when we got there so that was disappointing. Bread and butter was great but the food was average. read more

This is our favorite spot in Las Vegas. It is a reasonable price, amazing food. The view of the Las Vegas Strip is wonderful!

Food was delicious and actually affordable. Service was a little slow and they only seemed to have 1 waiter working, however I won't fault them since there was probably an issue with work schedules. Overall, I'd definitely go back read more

This place used to be one of my favorite places to go to for Italian food. We used to come here to celebrate birthdays but the last couple of times we went were bad. We tried to give this place another shot but the last time was just confirmation that we won't be coming back. I get sad thinking about this place because a very good friend of ours that had passed away loved this place so much & was the one who recommended this restaurant. read more

steak: Burnt, flavorless, and unseasoned potatoes: unseasoned pasta: Absolutely disgusting watery and flavorless too This place earns the trophy for most mediocre restaurant in vegas. I was invited by my friends so I didn't want to send the food back and make a scene but the quality of the food here is honestly the epitome of mediocrity. Shame on whoever made up a resume and landed the job as a chef read more

Since ownership changed, the quality of Ventano's has noticeably declined. Was served stale breadsticks that had to be sent back, a caesar salad with pieces of rotted lettuce, and then the entree had a wierd flavor too. It's like nobody cares about quality anymore. Oh, and prices have increased too, which wouldn't have been an issue except now you're being charged A prices for B quality food. read more

I had a special event at Ventano in January for you husband: His 20 Yr. Sobriety Party. We used their banquet room, and had 50 people there. I worked heavily with the manager / partner of Ventano, Michael. This is the place to do a special event. Michael is a tremendous asset, because he really knows events! He completely helped me with whole set up flow, and they even put up the party signs and worked closely with my balloon decorator. The food was great, the service was unbeatable, and I got so many compliments from guests on both! Ethical...I wanted to get more food, and Michael said what I had ordered was going to be plenty. Also, I had paid in advance, and over paid, and he contacted meforthesmall refund right away after the party. Great location, excellent food and service, and honesty! Need I say more? read more

The view is great! That's where it ends. As soon as our waiter greeted us without a mask... well it was down under his chin, I was out

Great meal!!!! Early dinner on Sunday and the place was unusually busy as our server indicated. It's the busiest they have been on a Sunday early afternoon. Needless to say the food was delicious all things considered. If you even remotely like shrimp and scallops- get the Scallop and Shrimp pasta. It's in a cream sauce with spinach and sun dried tomatoes. Soooo good!!! The piccata was ordered with shrimp which paired perfectly with the lemony sauce. The special was good, but was not a fan of the breaded halibut. The lobster ravioli was good, but the blackened shrimp that can with the dish were overwhelmingly spiced. We didn't expect to get the affogato in a bowl, and it's not on the menu btw, but it was still delicious. The tiramisu was tasty but nothing spectacular. The creme brûlée was warm- which you don't normally get when you order that and it was amazing. If you want a good Italian meal- this is the place to get it! read more

Saddest service ever. Been here before and never seen anything like it. I brought my son for a mom-son date. Two of us, he orders from the kids meal and I order a Cesar salad. Super simple... 45 minutes later... nothing. Two tables sat after us, got their food, we still got nothing. I think the manager came and I asked for the food. He went and checked and about 10 minutes later came to tell me it would be 3 minutes.. nope. When it was all said and done we were there for over an hour and a half. The server came with tiramisu as a "gift". I rejected and just wanted to leave. It was horrible. Saddest part is none of the staff seamed to care. read more

Tried this place for the first time last night and it is now one of my favorite restaurants in Henderson! The view is beautiful - especially if you get to sit outside! Beautiful few of the mountains and the strip! The breadsticks to start are delicious with the oil and balsamic! We also ordered the garlic bread with mozzarella - OMG! It was so good, I almost ordered another round lol My friend ordered a Caesar salad to start and it was big! I tried it and it was very good, the Caesar dressing and croutons were tasty. For dinner I had the Fettuccine Pasta Con Funghi (but without the mushrooms lol) - I did add red pepper flakes to make it spicy and it was delicious!! The shrimp were jumbo and it was a very big portion - I took more than half home! My friend had the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara Pasta and she enjoyed her meal as well. Their glasses of wine are priced pretty cheap! I had 2 glasses of Moscata D'Asti - only $8.00! Usually it's $12-$18. I was also glad to see they had Lambrusco as an option! I know that's a cheaper wine but I love it and never see it anywhere on wine menus! The service was great and again, the meal was delicious! I wish I would have tried this place sooner!! read more

I was referred to Ventano by the individual who helped me book a hotel in town for my dad's celebration of life dinner with my family, and we were blown away. The owner or manager (?) Michael was so kind and helpful planning the event, his prices are more than fair for the quality of food and service you get here, and the food was amazing! My entire family loved it, we had a great long table with a view of the strip at night, the atmosphere was great, the servers and the owner gave us top notch service, and my husband and I will certainly be eating here again when we are back in town. You've got to see the view they have, perfect for a romantic dinner, too! It was a rough time for my family and this business owner made it so much easier on me and I really appreciate that. They even have gluten-friendly options as an Italian restaurant- you've gotta try it! Our favorites were the antipasti platter appetizer (the balsamic is to die for), the lasagna, and the dessert sampler they brought out was a huge hit with the molten chocolate cake! Thank you so much for helping my family make a good memory remembering my dad during a challenging time for us! read more

Was just here. Hostess was hostile about reservation when the place was empty, late lunch around 2PM. Said, ok I will leave but the place is almost empty lol. Immediately seated outside and waited 10 minutes and no service, not even water. Been eating here for 15 years as loyal customer, spent thousands. Worst service ever. The food is good. The table service mediocre. But customer service is non-existent. Went there today to get information on their catering/banquet room services, waited for 20 minutes for someone to come out to talk to us. No one came out, the hostess barely acknowledged us other to "tell her manager" and then she left to go make a personal call outside. We weren't offered a place to sit, a drink of water while we waited, nothing. So, one star for good food. read more

Not sure how too describe my family came to eat said top shelf. I ordered a lasagne simple. My other members ordered more complicated. I got served a lasagna I still can't try for taste and value because it was boiling literally. I said something not sure. I had one bite and had to spit out. Asked for another napkin. Hint one something is not right. Waiter did lot come around after he served dinner, but he did do a good job on serving dinner at the time it came but I did come my on boiling lasagna (my bad). My mouth is burned can't eat. Liquid diet. But no will try again just not sure what I should think about it read more

We went for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago and it was good. We have been here many times over the years for Italian and the food had always been good. We decided to go back this year for Thanksgiving since it was just 4 people this time. The turkey was very bad this year, Just tasteless, grainy or something like maybe the turkey was not all the way thawed out when they cooked it. The whole dinner was cold. They were super skimpy on the turkey too. The turkey dinner is like some ridiculous price too, which is fine but make it good at least. We all ordered the same thing ... turkey.....and were there at 11:00 when they first opened and not busy at all so there is just no excuse. I've made many, many turkey dinners over the years and it is just pretty easy to make it delicious, so very dissatisfied with this. The service was disjointed and like Denny's or something. The service has slowly declined over the years though. This is a case of people being inexperienced and just not understanding basic social dining in general. The wait staff is just not the caliber it used to be but the food was good so that was okay but not now. I didn't complain at the meal, we brought guests here and it was just too embarrassing and didn't want to ruin Thanksgiving any further. Manager or owners I don't know what is going on but u can do better than this. read more

We had a reservation for 7:15 and the 4 of us arrived promptly at that time. The hostess looked confused and came back about 5 minutes later with a wobbly table outside. It was a nice evening for outfldoor dining so we asked the waiter if he could put a matchbook under the table to fix the wobble and he did.The server brought us out some oil and balsamic to dip bread into.No bread was on the table for another 5 or 6 minutes. It was hot when it came out and quite tasty. We ordered a bottle of wine ( the highlight of the meal) and then he came back to take our order a few minutes later. My wife had the Chicken parm which she said was dry.I ordered the Chicken Scallopini which was terrible. The spaghetti served with our chicken dishes was a large clump of dry pasta tossed in some red sauce.Neither one of us ate it.Our friends each ordered pasta dishes and said they were ok.Too many other good restaurants to go back here again. read more

My husband and I used to come here quite a lot years ago, and the food was amazing. We decided to take our friends there to celebrate their birthday and sadly enough what a disappointment! We ordered a few appetizers - calamari, jumbo shrimp cocktail and beef carpaccio. The calamari was over cooked - chewy and all stuck together in clumps! The shrimp cocktail tasted as if the shrimp has been on ice all day. Thankfully the beef carpaccio was as expected. Their mahi-mahi dinner special was the biggest disappointment - the fish was dry, the risotto was still cold and the scallops were over cooked. Each of us got a dish that had shrimp and all dishes the shrimps were over cooked and chewy!! So out of the 9 dishes were ordered only 2 were exceptional; Rack of Lamb and the Beef Carpaccio. This is not some cheap food so our exceptions were quite high; as it should be! The service was very slow. For a table of 6, dinner took 2 hours!! We don't drink and we weren't hanging around after dinner; it just took that long for our food to come out. That being said, I won't be recommending this place to anyone I know anymore and we won't be returning - WHAT A SHAME!! read more
