I went with a cold sandwich and it was way better than I expected. It tasted fresh, felt gourmet, and definitely wasn't your average deli sandwich. Everything looked really fresh too. The service was super friendly and efficient, even with people coming in and out, and the shop had a fun, bustling beach-town vibe that got us even more excited for the day. We open them up, and the bread is falling apart in some places and super soggy in others. I'm not sure how stale bread can get so soggy, but there you go. The bread was dry and falling off in shards. Our subs were the worst we've ever eaten. We didn't finish them (the seagulls were also picky). Stale and crumbling bread, paltry ingredients, not warm...the list could go on and on. If this was the first time we'd gone here, we'd never go back. And now we know, after going and enjoying subs here for decades, that we won't go back. There is no way to contact the owners or customer service on their site - goes to a 404 error. I'm sad about the entire fiasco.

The crust was the perfect thinness and held up well to the toppings. The cheese bread was SO CHEESY and delicious--I love sesame so it made me happy that it was a sesame bread. The red sauce it came with for dipping was mouth-wateringly delicious and bursting with fresh tomato flavor. I chatted with the manager for a bit and he was so pleasant and kind. I know I said I don't get to Fennville that often, but I'd come back just for more of this pizza.
