With the lack of good pizza options in the area, I found this place on Apple Maps and thought I'd give it a try. It is, in fact, a tiny "general store" that is inconspicuous and easily missed. It sits right on a two-lane coastal "highway," barely 1/4 mile from Lake Michigan, but would just as likely be found in some backwater Alabama swamp (not an insult, just an ambience). They have a small deli in the back and the young unassuming young guy making pizzas and other baked goods. He seemed nice, albeit so what suspicious. There was also a quintessential old farmer-type playing lottery scratch-offs by scratching off the barcode without actually playing the game on the front, then communicating with the cashier woman on a first name basis (Sarah). What a weird experience. I'm always interested in the colorful characters these tiny little towns and their stores. The pizza? Some of the best I've found south of Holland. The sauce had a hint of sweetness, and the crust had a couple of semi burnt bubbles that added to the delicious crunch of the crust. The taste may not be worthy of a five, but certainly a Midwest tiny-town-in-the-middle-of-nowhere five, and certainly worth a visit for pizza, miscellaneous baked goods... or beer, wine, and lottery. read more

I called the Glen store to order pizza which I have not done in a while and asked how much the pizza was and then ordered the two pizzas and when I got there they were a totally different price. When I told them that Emma had quoted me the price they yelled at Emma and sent her back to the kitchen and embarrassed her in front of all of the customers waiting in line. Afternoon some discussion they did give them to me at the price that was quoted and then preceded to tell me never to come back again and to get out of the store. They were so rude. I have been ordering French Dips for more than 10 years. They used to be stacked with sliced beef, just like Italian Beefs in Chicago. You know what?! This place surprised me and I have my fellow Yelpers to thank. Driving by, I didn't think this place had much to offer me as a side of the road liquor store but it turns out they have baby wipes, delicious pizza and not too shabby salads either. Aka don't judge a book by its cover. The pizza we ordered was in line with a Margherita and came topped with fresh basil and mozzarella. The order was both prompt and straightforward. The woman who was working during both of our visits was crushing it - she was not only hustling but very friendly. In addition to wine, beer and liquor, the store has a variety of travel, necessities, along with meats and cheeses in the back deli case. I also hear they make a delicious grinder. What a great find! This place is right around the corner from our cottage and to be honest, appears to be a hole in the wall. However, the pizza is TO DIE FOR! Do yourself a favor and stop in. We arrived in South Haven with 5 hungry kids. While they got used to our new digs we used Yelp to find the nearest kid friendly grub...and The Glenn Store was just 3 miles away. As many yelpers mentioned it looks more like a convenience store. I probably wouldn't have picked up dinner if it hadn't been for such amazing reviews, but was willing to give it a try. We placed an order for a few turkey grinders and 2 large cheese pizzas (1 thin and 1 thick). The woman behind the deli counter let us know that we would have to wait even if we were visiting a small town. Apparently we stuck out like tourists- hmm. The wait itself was 30 min, which isn't bad by Chicago standards. We took a quick block around the block and had food waiting for us. This time the woman was much friendly and told us she hoped we were hungry for all we ordered. It turns out we were and had no problem polishing off 2 large grinders and pizzas. The cracker thin crust seemed to be the fave among everyone. We enjoyed it so much and it was such an easy dinner that we ordered it all again a few days later. And even stopped by the store when needed some items for the house such a baking soda. There's a lot of good spots to eat in South Haven, but if you happen to be close to this one it's tasty and easy. Call ahead if you don't want to wait! read more

We really enjoy ordering from here. The food is always good and quick and it is a distance from South Haven but not too far to drive so it makes it less busy than town during the summer. Don't sleep on The Glenn Store. Sure it looks like a mere convenience store but the sandwiches are top notch. We needed something easy to pick up as it was raining and we didn't want to drive all the way into South Haven. We called up and had three hot grinders and an order of breadsticks waiting for us. If we were staying longer we'd definitely hit them up again and maybe try a pizza as the breadsticks and bread on the grinders were fantastic. read more

I stayed at Campit just down the road and needed to run quickly to the store and didn't want to have to drive all the way into Sagatuck, so I decided to stop here. A small town store, this place is part grocery, part deli, part pizza shop and part liquor store. Seriously, what else do you need? Prices are reasonable, grinders are good, and liquor was cold. Here's the thing about living on the lake shore... well, one of the things. The food around here pretty much sucks. Why? Because it's nearly impossible for restaurant owners to make enough money during the off-season months. This results in limited menus - such as they get frozen fish fillets from their supplier, so the menu has the fish sandwich, the fish and chips, or the fried fish dinner. It's all the same fish fillet, just on a bun, next to fries, or with your choice of a side dish. That sort of minimal buying so they can keep everything frozen and not have to toss out much and take a loss. We are SOOOOOO thankful for the Glenn Store! They have the best pizza in the area. We'd been on a quest for good pizza since moving here 8 years ago from Grand Rapids (me) and Detroit (my husband), and nothing hit the mark until we found the pizza at the Glenn Store! The employees are always nice, it's a fun little small town store that also sells things like artisan cutting boards and great breads. read more
