    Our wondrous flight of beer!

We thoroughly recommend Three Blondes Brewing for the clean, open, inviting environment; the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the great food and brews! Price point is more than reasonable for the high quality meal menu and libations. Our salads were beautifully plated. My companion raved about his Roasted Root Veggie Salad with added grilled chicken. I was very satisfied with the Caesar Salad and grilled chicken. We shared an excellent flight of beer too. The bill came to about $55 - not bad at all!

Stopped in on a very busy Friday night. We had to wait about 20 minutes for our table, which was less than we expected with the crowds. There is indoor and outdoor seating . My husband tried a few of their beers , the Soulless American Red Ale and Just Took a DNA test Turns out I am 100% Beer. He enjoyed both. He had the steak tacos- 3 tacos topped with onions, crema and candied jalapenos. Our waitress suggested corn tortillas. I had the Hipster- a sweet potato and black bean patty, topped with onions and cheddar. The patty did fall apart because the texture was mushy , but it was very good. The sweet potatoes were sweet topped with sweet onions. It was so busy it was a bit chaotic . The line to get beers while waiting was the length of the restaurant which made it difficult for the servers to maneuver around everyone, but the servers remained patient and calm.

Met back up with family a couple Saturdays back as this is kind of a central location for our families. A little bit farther for us and another family but we're quickly realizing we don't mind because the experience is well worth it and the food is spectacular. We also love the ciders and drinks in general too- always a great selection. The food is delicious and they listened to my last review because the nachos were bigger! Rangoon pizza is a go to for a few others in my family and we start off with cheese curds. All the food has such great flavor! We'll definitely continue to come eat here when we can. Excited to try more in the future

Enjoyable beers and decent food in a light airy space! They had indoor and outdoor seating with a cool patio space. We opted for indoors as it was sweltering when we went. You can make your own flight by filling out a sheet. I enjoyed sampling the beers, many of which feature fruits like blueberries and peaches. I liked the cherry porter the most! The food was hearty, and I liked that they had some veggie forward dishes besides salads. I tried the veggie burger with the sweet potato and black bean patty. The patty was well seasoned, but I think the texture could veer on being too mushy especially with the rice in it. Overall, a great place to hang out and enjoy a beer.

Came here for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. They have your usual pub like food with a variety of beers that you can make your own "flight" of 5oz tastings. Otherwise you can order bigger sizes of the beers also. Service was okay. The poor kitchen staff were overheated on this hot day. There aren't too many thrills in the decor here, just some decent beer. Chicken Bacon Avo Panini: big sandwich! Loved the pesto mayo & the bacon. Chicken was a little bit dry, but the creamy avocado help to offset that. Fries: pretty good and crispy. Well seasoned. Wake and Lake: a Pilsner. nice easy drinkable beer. Crisp and cool. Great for a hot summer day.

Unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. We found open seating at the bar due to any seating inside or outside being a minimum of 20 minute wait. For my appetizer I had the cheesy Mexican chorizo soup with poblanos and potatoes. It was not hot enough and rather bland for that type of dish. My entree was the Jazzy Faye pizza that had the proper New York flop and was cooked and seasoned well. My sister-in-law had the tacos that she said were small, flat and uninspiring. Several of us had beer flights that were average to above average but nothing knocked it out of the park. My favorite was boom boom betty. High/low bar and patio seating. Lot parking. Crabby bartender. Loud environment. Pricy. I did not purchase any take home beers and probably would not return. Sorry.

Ask the Community - Three Blondes Brewing

Is this a family friendly eating place?

Yes! We went with 7 kids- one who has a dairy allergy and they were beyond accommodating! Food was great, highly recommend!

Good morning! Do you allow leash well behaved dogs on patio? Thank you!

My apologies, but it is against Michigan Healthcode to allow pets where food is served unless the restaurant has applied for a variance, which we do not have. We do have a picnic table on the property adjacent to us where you can enjoy a carry-out… Read more

The outdoor patio was great, very laid back summer vibes. It's a no reservations and seat yourself place. We couldn't find a table at first and a couple got up to give us their table since we had kids, they grabbed seats at the bar instead. Very cool of them. We sent them a round of drinks! They have lots of Michigan craft beers on the menu. My husband had beer and I had their South Haven Spritz. I liked the Soha Sunshine better. We started with their Captains dip. It's a creamy smoked salmon dip served with pita chips, it was good. I had their Manistee Mama, it's their fried perch sandwich with a cajun tater sauce. It was great and not overly battered. It was actually a pretty lite sandwich considering it's fried. My husband had their Beachside wings with Spicy Ranch Sauce. The "Spicy Ranch" Sauce intrigued him. He loved the wings and the sauce tasted just like it sounds. We had a great dinner. Captain Lou's is a great location on the river by the bridge, but parking is tough. We had to park off Black River St. and walk. Another option is to park in town and walk over the bridge. We were waiting for the check and noticed another group of four looking for a table so we got up early to give our table, pay it forward! The guy offered to buy us a round of drinks. We passed on the drinks, but such a positive vibe all around.

It did say it had more onion than he likes. But it was a generous portion with real corn beef. I had eggs, sourdough toast, sausage patties and their house fries. I personally would have liked a little more seasoning on the house fries (that had both regular potato and sweet potato chunks). But I will admit, I like a lot of seasoning. I also had a very generous portion of food. The restaurant was clean and decorated really cute. We went in the "off season". So it wasn't too busy. A little more than half full. It's a great breakfast place. And will definitely be back.

They were not heavily breaded. The perch was nice thick fillets and the shrimp while not huge were very sweet and was de-tailed. The only thing my husband didn't like was the Cole slaw. He said the perch & shrimp were the best he's had in a very long time. It came with slaw & fries btw. The pizza was good but not sure I'd order it again. It was hot, fresh and had a lot of toppings but I wasn't crazy about the sausage. My personal problem as I've heard nothing but good about their pizza. Our server was very nice and personable. (Marcus) The only thing I didn't like was it's not easily accessible if you are handicapped. All in all we will go again, park closer to the ground level walk in which is still a little hike if handicapped and not go in the resort season or once it snows/ices - would be tricky for a handicapped person.
