I've been coming to Santana Row ever since they opened and the same goes with Veggie Grill. I'm sad because I no longer will be going here. The food and service were great, but the new automated parking system has made visiting Santana Row a total nightmare. Santana Row used to have plentiful, free, hassle-free parking; now, you run the risk of system glitches, like exit cameras failing to scan your car out and triggering erroneous billing warnings. The friction and hassle of dealing with property management's parking errors unfortunately means I won't be coming back. I hope the owners push Santana Row for customer parking validations to save their regulars from these automated headaches. It's a shame because I used to love coming here, but it's just too much of an expensive hassle. Food is already crazy expensive and then you add the total nightmare of dealing with their automated parking and then having to pay for it is just too much. read more

The staff were great. There were only about 4 people in the restaurant while MANY were outside. I haven't been to a veggie grill since the one near me closed a few years ago. I figured the lack of patrons was due to Plant based stigma but I knew better after getting my food. About the dish I had: I had been wanting to try their vegan salmon (27$) for months and months and finally made it down! The vegan salmon tasted so salty it wasn't edible. The texture was just like Omni pork spam layers smashed together to form a three inch fillet. The portion of sides was about half a cup of corn and about a cup of cubed roasted potatoes. Also no where did it say there was onions in the description (which I'm allergic to) but it was on the food. Overall the environment seems nice but I can understand why it was so empty due to flavorless bland but salty food. There were also out of their smoothies which I had hoped to get. I got Mac and cheese for someone who loves it and it scratched that nostalgic itch for them but I found it so bland it was basically just buttery noodles. Their chocolate cake is always good though! All in all I think it's better to support other locally owned and operated plant based spots. This has become too corporate and lost me in the process. I'm grateful I had the opportunity to try this salmon like this instead of buying the jumbo restaurant portion. The texture is very off which may be due in part to the restaurant or the supplier but the taste is definitely on veggie grill. read more

Like that they have expanded their menu options to burritos and tacos over time . Added more burger options after the NLB acquisition. And now they also have plates , for the same traditional American food options. Recently tried the steak Filet ($28) and Salmon plates ($24) . The taste was good, however they were pretty expensive. I understand that these are specially manufactured mock meat, but the pricing is akin to real meat. while meat eaters may have traditionally been to used to high prices for high quality meat , not sure people on vegetarian / vegan diet would shell out this amount for a meal at fast casual restaurant. read more

The app always gives me issues here, which I wish that was something that they changed and worked on. I had a reward that I was wanting to use, but it wasn't working an app, but the kind lady honored it. This must be a new item, but I got this strawberry sundae which was more on the icy side in my opinion. It was somethingrefreshing for a sweet treat along with your meal. read more

I had a craving for a steak burrito and stopped by veggie grill on my way home from hot yoga. I was recently told I have high cholesterol so I'm trying to substitute when the option is available to me. I made the order online for pickup and sadly spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to charge my car with blink as I usually use ChargePoint. The food was ready very quickly by the time I had parked so I expected it to be cold, but my burrito was still warm when I got there! There were 3 other groups dining when I got there, and most people doing to go orders. I got the steak asada burrito for its high protein content. I would say it's 10/10 for value but maybe 7/10 for flavor, definitely needs the hot sauces. I ate half of the burrito, and as I was finishing the last part where it's mostly just the tortilla it fell out of my hands. Staff came over immediately and asked if I wanted them to make me another taco hahaha. I appreciate it but there really wasn't too much left anyway. Super friendly workers, cheap and easy spot!! Highly recommend. I don't know when it was taken over by next level and I did notice a lot of the menu change, but I'm excited to try more things. read more

I thought for sure I had reviewed this Veggie Grill before, but no! Great location, if places like Santana Row appeal to you. The food suits me just fine, service is consistent, atmosphere is what I'd expect from a nicer than average fast food place. The menu has lots of variety, as if that matters to me, Mr. Always Orders The Same Thing. A stroll around Santana Row before and/or after eating works well. read more

Santa Fe burger is my favorite here. Super crispy and perfect tasty bite! We also had tacos with fishless fillet which was good. Buddha Bowl was filling and had variety of flavors. The place wasn't crowded, however it feels a little dated. Definitely needs an upgrade in the decor. Service was good here. Overall I like the wide range of vegetarian options available here. read more

Unfortunately I wasn't the biggest fan of the vegan steak and the vegan steak taco. I loved the vegan fish tacos they paired it perfectly with the slaw on top! Where the self serving drinks are you should definitely try their strawberry lemonade it's 100% fresh and there's also different types of salsa in that area I really enjoyed trying them all. Although I wasn't a fan of the vegan steak I was trying to order more fish tacos but the manager I believe noticed something was wrong and gave me tacos of my choice since the vegan steak meal was expensive. I wasn't expecting him to be kind of enough to allow that and he made sure to see if we enjoyed it after! The style of the restaurant is pretty modern but there's lots of seating available! read more

We had such a great experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out looking just as good as it tasted. The sandwich was delicious with perfectly seasoned fries, and the wrap was packed with fresh ingredients and was delicious. Everything was served hot, and the dipping sauces were a great touch. A special thank you to our server, Erick, who made our visit even better. He was friendly, attentive, and checked in on us throughout the meal without being overbearing. His great attitude and excellent service really stood out and made us feel welcome. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend both the food and Erick's outstanding service! read more

I was searching for vegan food on Google maps and I came across Mas Veggies Vegan Taqueria. Haven't been, decided this is where I was going but SURPRISE! it's actually Veggie Grill. Parked in a nearby parking garage and there's several options at Santana Row. I walked towards the address, looked for Mas Veggies and found that it was Veggie Grill. Entered and had to use the restroom and was stopped because I wasn't a buying customer yet. So I explained I was going to use the restroom and then order. He was fine with it and that's what I did. Ordered and paid at a self service computer on the counter-- but you could order with a live person as well. Took a number and took it to a table. My order was brought to me. The guy even asked if I'd like a water cup. That was observant, thoughtful and nice. I had tacos and chik'n tenders. I've had the chik'n tenders before at a different location and this time was memorable-- better than I remember, would have again for sure. Tacos were good but if they weren't on the menu anymore, I wouldn't miss it. I did try to get one of the superfood smoothies and the very one I wanted was out. Of course. Good food, good service. read more

I stopped by today for lunch with my sweetheart. I personally love this restaurant, miss having one closer to SF, and wanted to take her there. We enjoyed the nachos with house made queso, avocado, Tex mex "meat", beans and jalapeños... delicious! Next we went full-in on the buffalo tenders, smothered and tossed in sauce with a side of ranch. Just spicy enough. Excited about it. We paired the food with their fountain iced tea and berry banana smoothie. Wow the smoothie hit the spot. I love the vibrant colors inside and the many booth options, super comfy seating. Every time I'm nearby I stop by for the buffalo tenders; they're the best. Alex was super friendly and helpful, greeting us as we entered. Great food, great service, comfy seating! read more

They also added smoothie options in this store and will order them next time! Props because she was working here by herself that day. The store is pretty clean as well. read more

We were so excited when this Veggie Grill opened more than a decade ago (2012?), in part because I'm a lifelong vegetarian. At first the food was generally excellent and we enjoyed eating here frequently. Over time, sadly, this began to change. One of the low points occurred in May 2016 when a dead fly dropped out of my "Grilled Quinoa + Veg Burger" (see previously uploaded photo) as I was biting into it. We periodically returned, hoping that things would change for the better. Though there have been ups along with the downs, the general trend unfortunately has been in a definite downward direction. When we gave the restaurant another try yesterday, the avocado pieces on our tasteless kale salad were highly oxidized (dark spots prominently visible, as illustrated in the attached image). The tacos were soggy and the lettuce inside was wilted. The fries were dried out from being overcooked. Sorry to report that this was one of the most pathetic meals we've experienced at this restaurant--or any other, for that matter. Oh, well: at least there were no dead flies in our food. This is probably the last time we'll ever eat here. On a positive note, the guy at the cash register who took our order and brought the "food" to our table was very pleasant. We tipped him well. The star is for him. read more

The Buffalo Bomber is actually the bomb! I crave this! The bun is this soft amazing texture. The fries are always so fresh and they go great dipped in the ranch and buffalo sauce. Love that everything is plant-based! Great variety, from burgers, to burritos, to plates or bowls. I ordered the loaded burrito with walnut taco meat. It was delicious! But it was fun to try and the flavors were spot on. read more

Sad that this is the last location in the South Bay, given the atrocious parking situation at Santana Row. Excellent food - enjoyed tenders, a Beyond cheeseburger and a taco. Love Veggie Grill! So happy that the Santana Row location was spared during their restructuring which closed their Walnut Creek, Saratoga, and Marin locations. This location is the only one left in the bay area. The employees here are always friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is clean and well-lit. Their Buffalo tenders (or wings) are our go-to! They're always crispy, flavorful, and perfectly spicy. We always order this whenever we're at Veggie Grill. We order this so much that we know when they are experimenting with the recipe. I hope they keep this current recipe as it's the best we've had in the last several years. The Baja Fish Tacos are also a family favorite! They actually taste like real fish. These tacos are topped with a generous amount of slaw, cabbage, and pico de gallo. If we're feeling a sandwich, the Crispy Chik'n or Chik'n Bacon Ranch are our usuals. If you're just picking up a togo order, try your luck along Olin Ave. The curb there is for DoorDash or togo orders and cars are usually coming and going. read more

The service was amazing, but the food was not as expected. The salmon was a bit too "fake" for my liking and the task of the fishy ness was a bit much. The corn was very dry and did not have any seasoning. The potatoes were to mushy like mashed potato's. However the fish tacos made up for the inconvenience. We told the waiter that the dish was not as we expected and he made it right by giving us 3 free fish tacos on the house as an apology. The service was amazing and would go back for the fish tacos. read more

Veggie Grill makes hitting your protein goals easy, even on a plant-based menu! The Herb Chik'n tastes just like real chicken, and their roasted broccoli and carrots are absolutely delicious. I was surprised with all of the healthy options and substitutes for dietary restricted people here. They have a great variety of healthy salads, sandwiches, and vegan replacements here as far as chicken and beef. I'm surprised that there's only one location of this in the South Bay. I tried the far east Thai chicken bowl, and it had really good flavor. I was expecting sauces to mix in separately on the side, but I may had to specify that I didn't want my sauces mixed into the whole bowl already. I did an online pick up order and ran in to get it. There really isn't a quick 5 minute grab and go parking area since this is located literally in the center square with a bunch of other restaurants. I would hope to see more seasonal and limited time offers entree wise. read more

I took my grandparents here and we feasted! I opted for the truffle mac and the Caesar salad wrap. They got the fish tacos and the steak salad with a side of fries. My grandpa took one bite of his food and immediately said he would come back again - which is saying a lot for a man who isn't vegan and pretty picky about his food! The Caesar wrap was honestly better than I was expecting. It didn't come with too much dressing which would've made the wrap soggy and the portion was good as well. The Mac was very flavorful too but I prefer a thicker sauce. Overall, I would come back here again with family. read more

Went to the Santana Row Veggie grill. The place is hip and the vibe is cool. Not too sure about the burger. Placed an order for signature veggie burger, the burger didn't arrive for 25 mins which I felt was a bit excessive given there were not many people there (not sure about pick up orders). The burger finally arrived. It had no sauce or no juice, the burger, the bun everything was super dry! The cheese was melting weirdly. I did not like it at all! read more

A great spot for vegetarians. I visited this place for the first time with my daughter at Santana Row, and we loved it. We tried the Kimchi Steak Bowl and the Sonoran Bowl with smoky mushroom tacos. While the dishes were a bit light on salt, the portions were generous. They offer a wide variety of options, including burgers, sandwiches, bowls, salads, wraps, and healthy smoothies. We enjoyed all three dishes, and I'm excited to return and try more from their menu. You place your order at the counter and seat yourself, and they bring your food to your table. I've been looking around Santana Row to find something to eat and decided to try this place out. This restaurant serves vegan food and they fairly priced them. It seems to be averaged around $14 and that's not really bad. The place is nicely built and it's quite dark here and even quiet. Despite that, I tried tempeh for the first time and it tastes good. The bowl is big and for being priced almost $13. That's not really bad. The rest of the meal is healthy and delicious.
