I would have gave this place five stars, but I had to give them three because that's how unsettling my last experience was today with one employee. there are two workers there that give phenomenal service, but there is this one white male with a scarf on his head and hoop earrings in his ears with tattoos, that gave me the most horrible service and demeanor ever. he completely ruins the atmosphere of this beautiful establishment with his nasty attitude. I highly recommend that he is replaced. Other than that, this place is phenomenal and i truly appreciate the nutritional benefits this place contributes to the community. Veggie Grill is always a highly anticipated visit for me. Quite literally everything I've eaten at Veggie Grill has been delicious, and I've eaten everything from tacos, to wings, to burgers here. It's nice that they change up the menu from time to time too, offering a full menu of vegan options that isn't stagnant and keeps the experience of eating here exciting. Veggie Grill was fairly recently acquired by Next Level, and I've noticed only positive things since they've merged. The restaurant itself is getting refreshed, the menu is more expansive, and the table service is much faster and better. The restaurant is bright, inviting, and welcoming. I highly recommend eating here even if you aren't vegan or vegetarian, because it's truly just great food! Also, the lemonade is SO good. read more

Veggie grill doesn't disappoint! I really enjoyed the kimchi bowl. I thought it was well balanced with seasoned vegetables, brown rice, and bulgogi. The loaded burrito was also delicious and full of rice. I wish there were more sauce options like salsa verde. The truffle mac and cheese was a bit bland. I went there just over a week ago with a friend of mine who came to visit the area. We went in and ordered at this kiosk right by the front. She ordered a Beyond Classic Cheeseburger with the Mac n cheese, and I ordered the Steak Asada Burrito. The cheeseburger was, unfortunately, a bit dry and nothing to write home about and the Mac n cheese just wasn't that great. The steak asada burrito was delicious though. I really like how fresh it tasted and the steak tasted really similar to meat. I really liked how many options the menu has and how the allergies were clearly listed on the menu board. It was unexpected how much different food they had for being entirely vegan. I would go back, but I would just stick to the steak burrito. read more

Okay so we used to come here weekly. Or at least bi-weekly. But there was always a sewage like smell closer to the back and it was gross and rhe service just kept tanking. So it had been YEARS since we had come. I want to be clear that I came back because of NLB buying VG. This was my first visit back. The menu is different. I think for the best. I ordered a Jr. Burger with a Yo egg on top. My daughter got the Nachos and my son the Chick'n Bacun Ranch. He literally gets that EVERY time we go to NLB so he went for the usual lol I wasn't impressed with mine. The burgers aren't as good as NLB. The Yo Egg was overcooked. The fries were good and my kids loved their food. They absolutely LOVED the Belgian Chocolate Cake though. They devoured it after Cam, who took our order, VERY descriptively told us what it was like. Honestly, if you had a contest to sell the most desserts, just have him describe them because they were HOOKED lol I did NOT enjoy a dessert but my son was sweet enough to give me a taste and YES that dessert was everything Cam had promised us. Frankly he made our night. Because his energy and joy, his happiness, was contagious. My daughter said WOW he's amazing. He made my day. I said then baby, you should tell him that!! And she did. Subpar for a Next Level location! I usually love NextLevel Burger, and have my favorite menu items. I've been to this location many times over the last 10 years. They have their ups and downs but this time was hard to chew. Literally. I ordered the Avocado Bacon Cobb Salad with Ranch. It was the ranch that was off. I've had their ranch before and it was ok, bland but not bad. This time it was gooey, like a marshmallow frosting. It was hard to stomach, so I didn't eat much. I also ordered the Special Style Fries, and the cheese was just shreds not melted. Maybe I'm just used to the other locations that really have the execution down. The only reason I'm not giving it 1 star is because the staff are always so friendly and helpful and awesome. We also had the carrot cake that was delightful. I had eaten at NLB in Bend way before it showed up here and I use to go to Veggie Grill at their original Irvine location. I had high hopes when NLB bought and merged the two. I'm not a burger person and Veggie Grill long ago lost it's way. Congratulations to the owners and all they've done. The plates before 3pm to start. I stopped in today at lunch and had the tofu plate. Everything was delicious portion size was reasonable and the quality shined through especially for the price. I love the app the rewards program and the self serve kiosk as well. Small critics, I really miss the chili dog and do us all a favor and put the Moroccan lentil soup out to pasture. The food was absolutely delicious as it always is! Their new items are great additions and just make me want to eat here more. I'm not vegan/vegetarian but I enjoy everything they offer. Lots of flavor in everything. They were very cluttered up front and in the back (what you can see) and not too quick about clearing tables. The decor is nice, their utensils and sauces are stocked at the soda fountain. Music was nice as well, family friendly hits. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is simply because of the slow service. They had three women up front and two men cooking in the back and they stood around talking (two of the women) while one was answering the phone, taking orders and clearing tables... and we watched all of our items one by one get set up on the hot plate waiting to be brought over for about ten minutes and once everything was there then one of the chatty women brought it over. I used to loooooove this place, especially the location downtown Portland. Had not been since the pandemic, so i decided to reconnect. It used to be so delicious but my how it changed. It's just plain tasteless and very small servings. The cheese was gross and the "chicken wings," not at all what I remember in the mid-2010s downtown. Skip the house-made burger and go for the sweet potato fries! The house-made veggie burger is super bland and really misses the mark. Where's the flavor? It also has a funky smell. I threw in the towel 1/2 through the crumbly burger and the bun is super dense. It took over 15 min to get my order - not worth the wait. The crispy sweet potato fries are absolutely delicious and among the best I've had! The line cook mistakenly gave me a double batch of fries. I ate a full batch at the restaurant and reheated the 2nd batch at home. While they were a bit soggy, they were perfectly resurrected and worth saving! Kudos to Veggie Grill (1 star bonus point) for ALL GENDER bathroom, so nice to see this and help to end gender discrimination. I was on the hunt for a good vegan spot in the Beaverton area, and Veggie Grill really hit the spot. The vibe of the restaurant was casual but fun. I loved the bright pops of color and the modern light fixtures. The employee who took our order was very patient with us as we reviewed the menu and she made great recommendations. I ordered the kimchi "steak" bowl and my friend opted for the tofu sesame super greens salad. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the beyond steak, the rest of the kimchi bowl was delicious. It had the perfect combination of savory flavors and textures. The dressing and the butternut squash really put it over the top. The sesame tofu salad was delicious as well, but not quite on the same level as the kimchi bowl. I also ordered a Cesar salad to go with the crispy chicken, but unfortunately when I opened it up at home I found that the chicken had been forgotten. Chicken alternatives vary greatly in texture and flavor so I was looking forward to trying it out. I haven't tried the Cesar yet, but I may update my review once I do. read more

We were visiting the hospital nearby for a month, and only had the chance to have 1 meal a day, and wanted it to be as filling and satisfying and healthy as possible. This dish had a great flavor. My friend had the Cali Tempeh Power Bowl the first visit, which had a lot of kale, vs. the Fiesta Bowl, which was more rice based. We tasted each others, and both of us got the Fiesta Bowl on the 2nd visit. We both thought it was tastier, and it was filling, with the rice. It was also easy to get a table here, even on a weekend night. We just drank water, but there were some interesting options. We have been ordering items from the Veggie Grill for years with usually good results. Most of the food is tasty, not to mention relatively healthy despite the processing involved. Most of my favorites have disappeared from the menu though as it continues to evolve over time. You are missed. What prompted this review was that one of the entrees was left out of our latest pick-up order and I didn't notice this until I got home. I called the store and it was confirmed that the item was still there. It wasn't practical to drive all the way back to pick it up. Instead, I was promised a free entrée the next time I place an order as compensation, so it wasn't a total loss. However, I'll finally try to remember to check the contents of the take-out bag before leaving the store from now on like I should have been doing all along anyway since this sort of thing has happened before. What a terrific surprise! I wanted to take my wife to lunch, and she requested a place with vegetables. Certainly, this was the place. I had a crispy fish burrito, which was all vegan, indeed fake fish. I loved it. They could not have made it any better with delicious rice, beans, and pico de gallo. It was accompanied with a terrific green hot sauce, a bit garlicky, but that's not a complaint. We also had salad and fake fish tacos. Superb!! I've been very happy with the few things I've tried - the Caesar crunch wrap, the special green burger and the simple junior burger. The fries are also delicious. After Native Foods closed, I really needed a new vegan place and thank goodness Veggie Grill is there and that they added some more burgers from Next Level, like the quinoa mushroom and some others that are not just fake meat imitators . My only suggestion is more gluten free items without having to substitute or remove things from a meal, or be up charged for a GF bun/wrap. Make the croutons and onion rings gluten free please! Make All items easier to be gluten free, without having to just subtract items from a meal. read more
