    After wandering around for more than an hour waiting for Las Golondrinas to open, we finally decided to give up and walk the 10 minutes south to Vega 10. At 1pm on a Saturday they also weren't quite open, but the shutters were halfway up and so it seemed likely that they would open at some point. Indeed, by 1:15 we were sitting down (I know we were unfashionably early for Spain, but the stomach wants what and when the stomach wants). Our server took pity on our terrible tourist Spanish and switched to nearly fluent English, which helped. We had great house vermouths with sodas while we studied the menu, and ordered 3 tapas each to make a complete meal. There were a number of vegetarian options, including a couple of vegetarian specials on the board. They were among the best food of the trip for me. The special, which was a mushroom and potato dish, was so elegant and modern looking that I wouldn't have been surprised to see it on a Michelin-starred London restaurant table. But for 6 Euro instead of £20. I also loved the goat cheese toast, which does have a strong flavour. My companion enjoyed the meaty half of the menu, especially some of the specials. This is somewhere I definitely will return next time we visit Seville!

    Salmon tartar is amazing. The taste of fresh mango and veggies, and a taste that is similar to soy sauce really reminds me of Asia. One of the best food I have had in Europe.

    Great wine, love the Rioja. Enjoyed Moroccan fusion, risotto and creative menu. Friendly staff. Good food. iPA beer...has it all. Eat here

The place was crowded and there were no seats available when I arrived. There were many small groups congregated around tables and a few couples as well. It isn't obvious how to proceed once you come in the door so I probably stood there awkwardly for a few minutes near the door before making my way to the bar to what looked to be a vacant seat. A gentleman informed me that it belonged to his girlfriend so I was forced to now stand awkwardly next to the bar. Bar tender to the rescue explaining that if I waited he was pretty sure someone would leave soon and I could order a drink while I waited. I ordered a sangria and also inquired about food but was told that I need to have an actual seat in order to order food. After nursing my drink for about 20 mins when I was about to pay and head out to find somewhere else to eat, a spot finally opened up and I was treated to the most delicious steak and potatoes and zucchini tapas. This had to be one of the most delicious things I have eaten on this vacation. When I finally vacated my seat to save a pair of new arrivals, there was a line outside of people waiting for the opportunity to eat here. I might chance it again before I leave Seville. I highly recommend for the food and friendly waiters but wish there was a way to turn seats over more quickly. One guy kept insisting he was saving his girlfriend's seat but in the 90 mins I spent there she never showed up. Who knows if she ever existed. Bread comes free with your tapas order and really complimented the meal.

It was tender and full of flavor, and the potato parmentier balanced it perfectly. It was easily the most memorable dish we ordered. Service was friendly and relaxed, and we felt comfortable dining there as a family. Overall, a solid spot in Seville that we were happy to return to.
