Stoppped here for some drinks and tapas and couldn't have been more pleased! The location itself it perfect, small little spot in the heart of the city but off the main track. The interior is small with about 8 high tops for 2-4 people and a small bar. Loved the brick ceiling and the giant gator hanging down. The staff was very helpful and kept us laughing. Lots of taps and drink options for you here. We were just snacking so got some cheese, the spinach & chickpeas, and the Spanish omelet. All were great but the omelet was the bell of the ball. Well cooked & seasoned, creamy and thinly sliced potatoes. Prices were amazing and potions were generous but not so big you can't try multiple items. This is a great little place to catch up or relax with friends and just feel like you are part of the neighborhood. read more

Quiet spot on a back street. Really delicious creative tapas at incredibly reasonable price. Came for lunch on two weekdays and ordered the iberico burrito, pollo al curry, and crepe espinacas y bacon/crepe setas. Pollo al curry is the best I've ever had; flavor is close to Japanese curry with a hint of sweetness. Crepes are covered in mushroom sauce that is so creamy and full of flavor, with a side of greens for palate cleaning. Order a glass of mazanille to wash down all the delicious food! So we just got into Seville and we're staying a block away. I saw this place on Yelp and when we walked by we knew it was a place we wanted to check out. Reading any tour guide on Seville, you inevitably read about a "Charming old tapas bar, nested in a forgotten corner of a timeless neighborhood". Of course, finding said tapas bar is another endeavor. Located a five minute walk away from the main tourist attractions in the old quarter,Taberna Águilas (Eagles Tavern) is a small local spot with a great atmosphere and wonderful food. The menu is expansive, ever-changing, and delicious. Everything's written in Spanish, so bring a phrasebook if you can't tell an alcachofa from atun. I came with my family and we ordered a smorgasbord of items, but the biggest hit was a multi-layer foie gras mousse "cake slice". Of course, most of the fare is more... pedestrian, so don't feel like you have to go all out. For us, the pisto (ratatouille) and the stuffed mushrooms were also big hits. As much as I cringe whenever I see tourists giving reviews of a place they call "the real local place!", I endorse it as just that. Go here for tapas and you won't be disappointed. read more

My favorite tapa place in Sevilla!!! Great food and friendly servers that speak fluent English, in historic Santa Cruz that's perfect for wandering the narrow streets. My favorite tapas are the Burrito Iberico and the Gratin de Berenjena (small pieces of pork topped with eggplant and toasted cheese - see pic). Best tapas so far since arriving Seville three nights ago. The staff were friendly, helpful and speak good English (better than my Spanish). The place has a down to earth, authentic feel. Food and drink prices more than reasonable considering the quality & ambience. We got there before 8 and got s decent table. The overhead menu board in English made ordering easy. The tapas came fast and hot. Of the five tapas we ordered: ham and artichoke, pisto with eggs, eggplant chicken apple in mustard sauce,:spinach & chick peas and curry chicken, our favorite is the eggplant. Pisto was ranked last. The red Tempranillo merlot and white wines were decent; the draft beer was okay. Small plates but very filling. Sure enough the small place with 10 tables was packed by 8:30 pm. We walked a few blocks down Calle Aguilas after dinner and discovered a vibrant environment gelato shops supermarket and souvenir stores. What a way to finish a great day ! read more

The vibe was pretty chill compared to the other spots up the street which was nice if you're trying to have a glass of wine and some peace and quiet. Excellent! The service, food and atmosphere were fantastic. Just what we were looking for. The menu (at least part of it) was translated to English. The server helped us with the menu that wasn't clear and helped us select beers. We ordered the iberico burrito, goat cheese with pesto and salmorejo. All great! Wish we were staying longer so we could try more of the selection. We were so happy we stumbled upon the place! Just by chance, but we'd go back every day if we were here longer. read more
