Story of my life: I went into that bar with my beer-loving boyfriend. He ordered a beer from the 4 draft craft beer selection. Everything was well so far. As for me, I asked if they had cider / wine / cocktails / anything else than beer and got categoric "no"s; I ended up with a Coke Zero and an hour-long frown from the waitress (when she was in the bar - as she spent quite a lot of time outside smoking). Thanks but no thanks. read more

Stumbled upon this little gem while looking for a dessert spot we couldn't find and ended up coming back the next day to chill for a bit after walking the maze of streets in the city. La Jeronima is a cozy bookstore/bar/cafe that sells local craft beer on draft. Try the Zurda, a golden ale brewed in Sevilla - yum! Free wifi also available. read more

This is a great small bar for book lovers or wifi/laptop users or friends wanting a place to gather! Dropped in on a Sunday afternoon and there was a book club meeting and reading excerpts (which is awesome that they host such communal events), but the barista welcomed me in and showed me where one empty table was. She gladly told me all about the local beers on tap. There was also a fridge behind her full of bottled beers from all over Andalucia. I didn't feel that I was in the way at all by working on my laptop over a couple of hours and a few beers. There are also tons of books organized by topic that you can read while you drink, and after the book club I saw groups of friends coming in to enjoy beers like in any other bar. They also serve some simple tapas of cheese or salami with breadsticks. Very reasonable and cozy! This would be a favorite place to work in if I lived here! read more

During the day there's always a lovely jazz playlist on in the background and it's a super place to come with a book and five minutes' peace. The coffee is good but I think it'd made with little capsules so it has potential to be better. A buzz joint in the evenings with a super selection of craft beers and brews from Andalucía, even if they are significantly more expensive than a little Cruzcampo..! read more

Super cozy vibe and they have a great selection of art prints in the back corner of the shop. We were looking through the prints for so long that we felt like it was rude not to get coffee! Came back the next day to get more coffee and actually purchase the prints that we had scoped out the day before. Would 100% make an effort to come back here if we ever travel to Sevilla again!

The workers in this bookshop are extremely rude, at least the male workers on the 3rd floor. I…read morewanted a book from the top shelf which I could not reach. I asked the worker to help me, and he very rudely told me to wait. He spent the next ten minutes helping another customer, even though it was pretty clear from the beginning that what the customer wanted was not there. I sat near the shelf and waited my turn. By the time he was free, the store was closing. There were a few people left in the store. Another worker approached me and told me I needed to leave immediately. I explained I had been waiting for help from the other guy, and both essentially said too bad, get out. An not just get out, but get out right now. I explained I had been waiting but they did not care. Meanwhile, there were lots of people in line buying their books. This was absolutely the worst service with the rudest workers a I have experienced in Spain. Guess I will go elsewhere to buy all my language books.

Me encantó el sitio. Es pequeño pero muy acogedor. La decoración preciosa: los techos originales, la mezcla de muebles autoconstruidos y antiguos crea un ambiente especial. Compagina el ser un bar-café con la venta de libros y algunas cosas de artesanía/diseño. En su carta destaca sobre todo la cerveza artesana, tienen un montón de variedades diferentes. También tienen vinos, además de cafés y tés naturales. Lo único que eché de menos era algo para picar entre vino y vino, aunque tan sólo llevaban una semana abiertos, así que probablemente esto varíe en breve. Abrieron a principio de Enero de 2015, y seguro que se convierte en uno de esos sitios en los que haré una paradita cuando pase por el centro. read more
