They were both so kind and welcoming. They walked me through the menu and recommended the special of the day. It was a Jamaican stew over coconut rice & peas served with root vegetables and plantain. I'll describe it in one word...amazing! This dish was thoughtfully made and the flavors were all the way through. Everything was outstanding - fresh, flavorful, generous, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Coming from the Bay Area, we also found the prices very reasonable. As the word Shakhahari (Hindi) denotes, it's a vegetarian plate (no egg as well as most vegetarians don't eat egg in India). I like the place and the food and recommend it to anyone who wants to try vegetarian Indian food.
