I had the opportunity to stop by Moneta and I'm so happy I did. I was actually at the coffee shop next door, while sitting multiple people walked past carrying perfectly wrapped cupcakes. Veronica and Diane's bakery operates on a "preorder" model, so their cookies, cupcakes, cream puffs, cake pops, scones and cannolis should be preordered by the dozen. Much of their business revolves around absolutely gorgeous made to order customized wedding and special occasion cakes and pies. They have close to thirty different cake flavors across the entire spectrum of yumminess. Here's the scoop on the flavor groups: "Classics" that include Chocolate, Vanilla, Red Velvet, and more. A "Fun & Delicious" line that includes among others Tangy Pink Lemonade, Pineapple Crush, Zesty Limeade, Maple Pancake, and Cinnamon Maple Four "Kids Favorites" of Sweet S'more, Cookie Dough Core, Cotton Candy, and Dreamsicle And some very intriguing booze flavors "For Adults" of Espresso Pubcake (made with Guiness beer), Rum & Coke, Lime Margarita, and Tequila Sunrise. On Friday and Saturday, they may have some cupcakes and cannolis for individual sale, so after a few text messages, I arranged to swing by and get 2 of each. While inside the store, I saw dozens of freshly baked cupcakes awaiting their custom "to order" icings, and two freshly baked stunning special occasion cakes awaiting pickup. We bought two chocolate chip cannolis, a chocolate cupcake, and a vanilla cupcake. We just finished scarfing down the cannolis. They were amazing! The filling wasn't super sweet, the chocolate chips were plentiful, and the shell was crispy and crunchy. A definite A+ of a cannoli. We will exercise some will power and share the cupcakes for tomorrow, but no doubt they will be equally stellar. I've been looking for an Olive Oil cake for a while until I was finally recommended this bakery! While it wasn't on the menu, they had no issue making one for me. The process was easy, and they were SUPER accommodating with timing and pickup, not to mention so sweet. The fact that they are nut & peanut-free is AMAZING. Birthday Cake Bliss! I ordered a birthday cake for my wife last minute, and Moneta's was able to not only to save the day, but to also create a wonderful cake which my wife absolutely loved. These ladies are extraordinary bakers. Their cupcakes are like tiny little perfect cakes. So delicious and moist. Real buttercream frosting too. On top of all that they are NUT FREE. Veronica, one of the owners, told me they had never made a goat cake before, but found some pictures of a cake and cupcakes to show me. I ordered both and they came out amazing! The cake was marble with chocolate buttercream frosting. The cupcakes were cookie dough core, which is chocolate cake with a ball of cookie dough baked into the center, with buttercream frosting. I wanted to update my review after Moneta Moments made the desserts for my wedding. From the first meeting, they were a pleasure to work with - both of the ladies are extremely friendly and will work with your vision to make exactly what you imagine. The price was also very reasonable. For our wedding, we ordered a small cake to cut, as well as cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries. We were able to choose different flavors for the cupcakes - which gave our guests options. They even put color coded fondant bows on each and every cupcake to differentiate the flavors with a 'coded menu' so guests knew what flavor they were choosing! Each one was delicious (even the leftovers were good days later)! Moneta Moments did a great job delivering everything and setting up the dessert table - the cupcake stand they provided was tiered so it gave the vision of a tiered wedding cake - it was perfect! I would certainly recommend them for a wedding or any other event when you need delicious desserts! I am new to Windsor so I was researching local spots to get Valentine's Day treats. I didn't realize that due to COVID restrictions the bakery is only open for pick up, so I drove over and tried to get in. The sweetest woman answered the door and explained about pick ups-only, but offered to create a box of a half dozen cupcakes (which is what I actually came to order) for me to bring to my 94 yr old Gramma. She was so kind and compassionate that I became overly emotional because I lost my Grampa a few weeks ago, and was trying to make my Gramma smile. I emailed the owner on my husband's birthday to see if we could pick up some cupcakes. I let her know I could not have dairy because my infant is allergic and I'm breastfeeding and my husband is also allergic to chocolate. I received a response very quickly and was told these allergies were no issue. When my sons and I came to pick up our treats, I was so impressed with the adorable shop and friendliness of the owners. When we tore into those cupcakes later that night after dinner, we were all pleasantly surprised that they were just as tasty as they were beautiful. When we were there, they mentioned they were making some banana whoopie pies for a wedding. I said if they had any leftovers, I would gladly buy them. I received an email the next day and drove right over to buy those whoopie pies! My husband and son loved those as well. The level of customer service was astounding and the quality of the treats we bought were great.
