On the first Thursday of every month, I bring treats to my office from a local bakery. This month I found Brown Butter Creations in Glastonbury and ordered a dozen cupcakes and a dozen cookie bars. The office raved about them! I tried the s'mores cookie bar and it was absolutely dreamy -- more like a cross between a cookie, pie, and cheesecake with delicious marshmallow and chocolate. I normally don't write reviews. But i felt this was necessary and deserved. This was my first time ordering from Brown Butter Creations and i could not be happier with the cake they designed for me. I asked to have a Hostess cupcake replicated into a cake. Down to the the swirl on the top (which was scribed with Happy Birthday) to the delicious marshmallow filling and chocolate ganache YUM!! They're widely known for their brown butter cinnamon rolls which are only available Saturday morning. You can preorder through their website to secure your cinnamon roll but they do have some extra out their shelves, but they go quick! I want to start out by saying that if they have strawberry tres leches available, you MUST get it! That is one of the best desserts I've ever had. It was so moist and flavorful and the cream on top was delightful! I think about it every other day! And the cinnamon roll was fantastic and even better warmed up. And if you're looking for something savory, their breakfast quiche filled with egg, broccoli, bacon, and cheddar was out of this world! Creamiest, sweetest, softest fresh piece of cheesecake I have ever had! The store is pristine and everyone is friendly. It is tucked in the corner of a small plaza off of New London Tnpk just South of the post office. I recently visited Brown Butter Creations with my 9 year old when he had a school weather cancellation. They've been in business for a while, but their brick and mortar spot in the same Glastonbury plaza home to businesses like Pick & Mix and El Polllo Guapo is new. Service was awesome. Wonderful, wonderful people. Very patient about my Foodie-nerding. I bought four desserts for our family. My primary dessert was a piece of cake approximating the flavors of a Girl Scout Samoa Cookie. Fresh, delicious and not overly sweet. Our other desserts included a chocolate mousse brownie, a slice of cookies and cream cake and a chocolate chip cookie sandwich. I sampled each and they were all great. Sweets after the dentist. lol I know, right?! The inside is super clean and fresh looking. Light gray walls with colorful picture frames of the cupcakes that have created. I got to meet the owners. Brown Butter Creations was established in 2018, and is run by two sisters, Marika Esteves-Smith and Ashli Esteves-Nelson. Their parents help run the front while they are in the back baking up all kinds of sweetness. I can't wait to go back and explore their dessert case even more. Our family absolutely loves Brown Butters Delicious Creations! We have been getting treats from them since they first opened as a cottage Business. We'd see them at farmers markets and we'd also order holiday treat boxes. I still have dreams of the treats I received in my Mother's Day Treat box which also included a beautiful bouquet of flowers from another local cottage business. My daughter loves them so much she requested her 6th birthday cake from them. It was a delicious blueberry and lavender cake. A small bakery in the Glastonbury area, it's nestled in a strip mall a few blocks away from the town center. I grabbed a few vanilla confetti cupcakes, a pecan bar and a chocolate cheesecake square. Each bar was 5$, the cupcakes were 3$ each. Oh MAN, the cupcakes were sooo moist and fresh!!! I didn't want to stop eating the pecan bar once I picked it up! Delicious!!! WOW is all I can say about the treats we tried today from Brown Butter Creations. We saw them today on Pratt Street at their pop-up with Hartford Prints! What a fun set-up! We got there about an hour in and already a lot of their treats were sold out. Thankfully, there was still plenty for us to try! We split a few cookies including a fluffernutter, brown butter maple, classic chocolate chip, and m&m. SO GOOD. The fluffernutter cookie absolutely blew me away. It had little pieces of what looked like pb captain crunch. Incredible. They had so many other tasty treats I wish we got to try it all!
