Arizona has an under-seasoning epidemic but Vecina has comfortably beaten the allegations. Flavors…read morewere all on point and as expected from the components on the menu, which doesn't happen often in Phoenix. The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

We ordered a bottle of wine and went to town on: White Bean Puree * Crispy Short Rib | Herb Salad | Flour Tortilla: Karaage * Aji Amarillo | Citrus Gastrique | Togarashi | Lime Elote * Chorizo Butter | Lime Creme Fraiche | Toasted Chiles Romaine * Buttermilk Dressing | Mexican Sriracha | Parmesan | Noble Bread Breadcrumbs Gambas al Ajillo * Wild Shrimp Co. Mexican Shrimp | Paprika Garlic Butter | Serrano Cruda | Garlic Noble Bread - this was the only dish that was not my favorite. SUPER flavorful but I wanted a more.. 'traditional' tapas Gambas al Ajillo flavor aka less paprika please. Saudero tacos (a brisket confit suadero tacos with a chile jam, aguacate, serrano cruda, toasted sesame, fresnos and micro cilantro) We sat on the patio for a wonderful AZ spring evening. The service was great. I also enjoyed their extensive tequila and mezcal menu. The only downside is the parking -- it's pretty small and shared with Lou Malnati's next door!

Instead, we were publicly embarrassed and treated like criminals for absolutely no reason. After we were seated, I closed the curtain because the table next to us was loud and obnoxious. Minutes later, the manager, Hannah, walked over and decided our entire group was "too intoxicated" to be served. Not a single person in our group was causing a scene, being disrespectful, or acting out of control. We were sitting at our table, ordering dinner. What makes this even more ridiculous is that after taking our drink order, Hannah personally brought out three green tea drinks in champagne glasses. Then, almost immediately afterward, she decided we were somehow too intoxicated to stay. Which is it? If we were supposedly too drunk to be there, why were drinks being served in the first place? We had already ordered what would have been around a $700 meal, and instead of being treated with basic respect, we were stereotyped because we were a bachelorette party. It felt like Hannah had already made up her mind before giving us any chance to prove otherwise. Restaurants absolutely have the right to refuse service to genuinely intoxicated guests. What they should not do is make assumptions based on the type of celebration or the size of a group. This wasn't responsible service--it was poor judgment, inconsistent management, and an incredibly embarrassing way to treat paying customers. We'll happily spend our money somewhere that values its guests instead of profiling them. !!! DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!!! We ended up at ZUZUs, they treated us with respect and dignity. Food was 10/10.

It made perfect sense to come eat dinner here since I just finished up at the spa. My server was extremely kind and accomodating. To start, I ordered the Caesar salad which was DELICIOUS. It consisted of chopped romaine, parmigiano reggiano, garlic pangrattato, & caesar dressing. 10/10. I love Caesar salads and this one was definitely unique! For my main course, I ordered the Wagyu NY strip which was cooked to legitimate perfection. Medium, tender & melt in your mouth. 1,000/10. It was served with olive oil smashed potato, seasonal vegetables, & chimichurri. I finished every morsel of this plate, that's how amazing it was! Finally for dessert, I ordered the Pavlova which consisted of aquafaba meringue, passionfruit reduction, & berries. It was light, airy and had a side of sweetness. My entire meal at Elements was one for the books. I highly recommend eating dinner here for the views and sunset, even if you're not directly staying there at the hotel grounds. Incredible evening!

The staff has no problem taking pictures for you with the beautiful background which was really nice of them. I have to eat gluten and dairy free and ordered the market fish. I had to get it without the sauce because the sauce had dairy. Instead of substituting, they just gave me a plain fish with nothing on it, not even salt. In addition, my husband was supposed to get extra vegetables in lieu of gnocchi and he got 6 small slivers of squash. My plate had more than his with "extra vegetables". I might give this place another chance, but the food was a let down for us. The gluten free/dairy free dessert option added 1 star to my initial 3 star review.

Corn Bread - Really enjoyed this. It had a nice balance of sweet and savory and was moist without being too heavy. Fries - Crispy, well seasoned, and easy to keep reaching for. Swordfish Tacos - I would skip these. The fish didn't taste as fresh as I expected and had a noticeable fishy smell that took away from the dish. Overall, the food was good, but with such a large menu I would probably try different items on a return visit. My favorite part was actually the warm cookie they give you when you leave. Our bartender, Andrew, had 26 years of bartending experience and gave us a great overview of the standard process for making drinks. He was very friendly, engaging, and thorough. We made the Orange Grove cocktail, which pays homage to the fact that this hotel was built on an orange grove. It actually also used to be a private residence back in the day. For you history buffs, there is a history tour that you can also take through the hotel. We learned that a bit of Angostura bitters mixed with soda is a helpful hangover cure and that their most expensive liquor on property is Louis XIII Cognac, which costs about $4,000 per bottle and $500 for a one-ounce pour. The bottle itself is apparently worth $500 when empty as it's made out of crystal. We ordered a side of fries and wings on happy hour, which is daily from 4-6pm. The fries tasted like Arby's fries but weren't curly. It took a while for them to be made for some reason. The wings were big and soft, and I wasn't a fan of the honey buffalo sauce. The bar itself is a vibe with dim lighting and comfortable seating. It was fairly quiet when we went on a Sunday afternoon, with only a few hotel guests that came. The mixology class was an intimate experience, with only four of us there and a maximum of six people allowed to book each week's class. $50 per person is what we paid since we weren't staying at the hotel, which I thought was very pricey for a mixology class with only one cocktail being made; that's my primary reason for the lower rating plus the food quality. We also ordered during happy hour and were charged full price. After bringing it to their attention, they only discounted the wings but the draft beer and specialty cocktail we ordered should have also been discounted. Just a bit frustrating to have to address that when happy hour prices are clearly listed on the menu.
