This was our first time at a Brazilian Steak House & it was scrumptious! It was a 2 course meal of all you can eat seafood & salad bar, with fine cheese, meats (including shrimp), 16 different meats (including lamb), amazing breads & quick, polite service. Our waiter was wonderful!!!!! This place is by far the best!! & affordable for fine dining. More food than we could eat. My son actually tasted all 16 meats & ate 1/2 plate of sushi from the cold bar. We couldn't make it to dessert. Husband had 2 Lime House Brazilian drinks with 1 after dinner spirit to aid "digestion" as the waiter put it. We totally enjoyed this experience & food. I don't even know where to start. This place is awful. We made reservations here for my wife's birthday this past Saturday. When we arrived we were even asked if we had reservations and the hostess immediately tried to stick us in a back corner. I politely declined and there was short wait for a bigger table. We waited for few minutes for our waiter. He gave us suggestions on wine and we decided on a 2015 Fortuna (NV). When he brought out the wine it was a 2017. I called him on it before it was opened and he went to check. He came back out to apologize and offered a discount, didn't even ask if we wanted something else. We went on to the salad bar and settled on the pasta salad and crab salad. As we began to eat I found a bug in my salad. I called the waiter over and showed him. He immediately cleared my plate and came back with the manager. He apologized and comped our meals except for the wine. He brought the check out shortly after that but didn't clear the salad from either of the bars so the remaining people in the restaurant were eating bug seasoned salad. What I now realize was a mistake we decided to stay bc there was no way we were going to find a nice restaurant to dine on a Saturday night. Our waiter avoided our table like the plague and took better that 15 minutes to bring our check once we asked. To add insult to injury I was told they were going to discount the wine bc the comped our meal. Stay away from this place if you're used to good service and an attentive wait staff. We recently tried this place and I have to say the food was excellent. The salad bar has really good samples of different cheeses, smoked salmon, pasta and potato salad to list a few. The service was excellent and attentive. The only reason I am not giving the 5th star is because of the pushy feel towards purchasing drinks. We did finally order a shot of 1800 tequila to finish off our dinner, we each had 2= 55$!!!? I have never seen that particular tequila sold at such a markup anywhere. The dinner is all you can eat service, you just flip your card over when you would like more, around 42.50 a piece and in my opinion was worth it. Ummmm... no. If you have true steakhouse level expectations for a 4+ Yelp star and '$$$' rating, this is not the place for you. It feels like you're enjoying the silver level access to a mediocre all-inclusive resort. The servers are great, very outgoing and attentive. The food... over seasoned and over smoked to make up for the money saved on the quality of meat. The chef's special we were encouraged not to forget about... spaghetti... with what looked to be some form of sausage meatball. I didn't keep the lid open for more than a half second. Mushrooms in a "spicy sauce" served cold. Roasted garlic cloves... something we were excited to see... cold. When food is served cold like this, it is made hours, if not days, before and then refrigerated. Even the baguettes were terrible. How do you mess up a baguette? Hint: buy low quality store brands to save on the cost of handmade bread. My wife couldn't believe how much her iced tea tasted "like an old man's cologne." My favorite part of the entire night was my Diet Coke, thankfully opened in front of me to eliminate any doubt of it having been store bought, doctored, then refrigerated next to whatever it was they referred to as corn. The servers knew we were not okay with what was happening, but my wife and I grew up working in restaurants, so they carried zero blame - except for the one young gentleman who helped clear our table. While trying to make small talk, he proceeded to stack everyone of our plates on his small drink tray, but not before turning over each new plate allowing for the remaining food to slop down on what ended up as a heaping pile of unwanted scraps - we did not finish much. He repeated this process until our entire table was clear. I wasn't sure if the now squished sausage about to flop back onto the table or the sound of the falling food was going to make me sick first. Even this is not on the server, however. That is a training issue, and that is a direct reflection on the management. We were offered free dessert, we declined. This is a great place for some people. If you're filtering by rating and price, looking to add a new steakhouse to your go-to list, do not stop here. read more

We are a big fan on this steakhouse. Since we have not rejoined society eating out at restaurants we were so happy when we saw that VB has a delivery and carry out option! We ordered the filets medium, bacon wrapped chicken, collard greens, polenta, cheese bread and chocolate mousse cake (this was our Valentine's Day meal no judgement please). The steaks were cooked to perfection! The chicken was moist and such a great price for the amount of chicken. The collards were delicious and could easily feed 4-5 people (we ate them 3 times). The polenta was a favorite. The cheese bread was good but I do wish they sold a smaller quantity for less money. The cake was the real surprise. I was not interested in a chocolate mousse cake but the options were limited. It was a mix of mouse, cheese cake and regular chocolate cake with a fudge topping! Absolutely exquisite! I have no idea if my tip went to the restaurant or the grub hub driver (who was also prompt ) but it was well deserved! read more

I have looked at a lot of the reviews. I must have been there on an off night. We were shocked to be seated right away on a Saturday night at 7:30. We ordered a coke and went to the salad bar. The salad bar was missing items but that was ok. It all seemed to be fresh. That was maybe the best part of the meal. Btw... the coke is still not here. We have our plantains and rolls. Rolls are cold and I needed my steak knife to cut into the plantain. We flipped our cards green. Of the 11 meats that were offered, we got spicy beef, pichana (please excuse the spelling) chicken leg, filet mignon and lamb. The meat was pretty good. One was a little rare but that's ok. The sides were average. The potatoes were cold and didn't taste like they were fresh. Bananas were good but cold and tasted like they had been sitting for a while. Btw..., ordered coke again. I got it. We ordered decaf coffee. It took 30 minutes to get that. Dessert came before the coffee. Creme Brûlée and Molten cake were good. We enjoyed the molten cake more. Creme brûlée had too much of a liquor taste to it. Our waitstaff were nice but were slow, forgetful and at times inattentive. I really expect more from a Brazilian steakhouse. Okay, I was pretty certain that I heard this place was owned by the same people who own the Villa Brazil in Irving. (hence the "VB Steakhouse") Because of this I expected something else, which I'll get to, but first... It's a nice place, very nice. Nice bar up front. Main dining room, and at least one side room. Went in awhile back, not too busy at the time, there were several of us. Got seated right away for dinner. I think we all pretty well know how these places work, so after the waiter explained a few things, I grabbed a plate and headed to the salad bar, because...I like salad? Also, I wanted to check out the other salad items, soup, etc. Couple items to the side, some off the spit shish kabob type meat and vegs, chicken alfredo, tomato soup/bisque. Got some of the kabob stuff, and some of the chicken alfredo. Went to check out the salad bar. I saw a worthwhile amount of some individual salad items, artichokes, heart of palm, a few other type of different salads, the rest I can't recall. There was some lettuce, and some romaine lettuce at the end, but there was no caesar dressing for it. I think there were four dressings total. None of the other salad items really appealed to me, so I settled for the romaine lettuce with a jalapeno ranch, best I could figure. It was good, fresh, no problems, Chicken alfredo was good, as was the kabob stuff. The meat started coming by, I won't go into details, but with a few variations, it's more or less the same as the other Brazilian steak places. Everything was cooked well, and all of it was good, with the more seasoned cuts being very good, which I always like better. I thought the quality of the meat was really good. Service was fast, and efficient. We never felt as though they were avoiding, or trying to slow down, which I do see mentioned from people sometimes at these type of places. No complaints about any of the food, quality or service. We got dessert, the mango cream, and the pineapple with ice cream dish. Both were very good. So, it's a nice place, good food, and good service. But... I knew the place in Irving had good reviews, but I also understood that dinner was under $30 there. Your higher end Brazil places are in the $40's nowadays, so I was looking to see if there was going to be a better value. Dinner here was $39. Not going to say it wasn't worth it, but for example, Texas de Brazil is $45. But they have what I consider to be a much higher end salad bar. I understand you go to one of these places for the meat offerings, yea I get that. But, when there's no lobster bisque, no sauteed mushrooms, no real bacon pieces for salads, just to mention what was obviously missing. Just those three things, to me, are worth the $6 difference. Maybe they rotate offerings on nights, I dunno, maybe we went on the wrong night. If the dinner price had been closer to $30, I would say it was MORE than worth it. For what it was missing, that I would have expected it to have for the price charged, can't throw a five star on it. With the higher end atmosphere, they probably decided to go high end on this location, which is fine. But if you're going to push the price to almost $40, you better be adding some more value to it here. Our three dinners, with some beers, coffees, and two desserts was almost $160 before tip. Not terrible by any means, but for the price, I would have liked a little more extensive salad offerings. read more

Hubby and I came there with a groupon and STILL owed over $50 at the end. Whaaaa? Ok, we got a few drinks but one of the "shots" was a surprise because it was part of the dessert and we weren't told it would be an extra charge. We enjoyed the bountiful and fresh salad bar (would've liked to see a soup or two on there though) and the delicious meats. The leg of lamb was especially good. We don't really bother with anything but red meats at these places, but out of the "others" the chicken leg had the best flavor. I mean, it was really good and they could probably do a decent business just on chicken. Anyhoo, we tried everything that bled red. I agree with other reviewers who say that not grilling the meat is their biggest mistake. The biggest disappointment was their spicy picanha. Not very spicy and could've done with being grilled rather than roasted. The other big disappointment is that the grilled pineapple that other churrascarias provide free is an extra charge here. Cheapskates! The service here is great....however we were not told that the fireball cheesecake had an extra charge for the shot of Licor 43....the reason the cheesecake is called "fireball". So what a shock to see an extra $9 on the bill for that and the main reason they don't get 4 stars....and one of the reasons we won't be back. After such a nice meal that really left a sour taste in our mouths. read more

Been to a few Brazilian steakhouses and this one didn't disappoint. Traditional Brazilian steakhouse in that sense with your service of meats and salads. Loved the grilled pineapple which isn't always an option at some of the other competitors. The pros for me were the bread, both the rolls and Brazilian cheese bread which were, in my opinion much better than other Brazilian steakhouses. NOTE: They are called Vila Brazil on all signage, but the website is vbsteak and it's listed here is a VB Steakhouse. Don't confuse this one with the one in Irving. We love trying new Brazilian Steakhouses, but often find that you can't compare to Fogo, Texas de Brazil, or Fire de Brazil. This one comes real close. The meats don't have quite the seasoning of our top three, but it's still quite good. The service is over the top though! I haven't received service this good at any of the other Brazilian steakhouses and frankly, haven't received service this good anywhere other than the very best steakhouses (i.e. - Ruth's Chris). They pulled chairs out for us, placed napkins in laps, quickly cleared the table, and refilled drinks. They asked all the right questions at the right time to make us feel like we were very important to them. The side dishes (cheese bread, fried bananas, etc) were wonderful and our waiter actually explained the purpose of the friend bananas to us instead of letting us look like fools and eating them for dessert (they're a palate cleanser for between types of meat). At $25 for lunch, we will definitely be back! PS - No lobster bisque which, for me, is kind of a staple at churrascarias. read more

While it's kind of tucked away by the ballparks and six flags - the restaurant looks really nice inside and out. My waiter, Manny was awesome - very professional and nice. The salad bar to start was very good, with things like shrimp dishes, salmon, assorted cheeses, and salad (duh). The meat selection was pretty vast, and frankly all done great. The house special, garlic and spicy beef were phenomenal. As we were finishing our meal, Manny made some small talk and found out one of our party members just had a birthday, and brought us a free dessert. They took it back and I was presented with a chilled martini glass of cheap vodka that had the same olives as the last drink. So it still tastes awful. We sold out of most types of beer or didn't k ow what they had to offer. Salad bar was about on par with a hometown Buffet. I'll keep this as short as possible. I prefer this place over any other nearby churrascaria. The salad bar was small enough that it didn't distract me from the main course, but it had plenty of delicious offerings (included but not limited to): smoked salmon, parmesan still on the wheel, prosciutto, quinoa salad, tabouleh, cocktail shrimp, and more. The meat selection was much like other Brazilian steakhouses, except they had spicy variations of typical offerings as well. The service was phenomenal. The wait staff, literally, waits on you during your entire meal. I never had an empty glass or plate the entire time. We ordered the Caipirinah with mango ($10 cocktail, with an extra dollar added for the flavoring), and it was delicious. We also ordered the Fireball Cheesecake for dessert. Let me spell this out for you: IT IS A CREME BRULEE'D CHEESECAKE SLICE. There is no dessert than can compare, and quite frankly I can not see myself ordering dessert anywhere else for the rest of my days. Be forewarned, it is a little pricey compared to the other dessert plates ($13.95, which is partially due to the show). The plate is covered in liquor once the flames subside, making a good "soaking sauce" for each creamy-crunchy-caramelized bite. At a little over $37 per person for a Wednesday dinner, I found the price to be just right considering the service provided. read more
