While in Pennsylvania I came across Vassi's Drive in where there's gyros and Philly cheesesteak in the restaurant on the back and an Ice cream store on the front. Although I didn't get to try the ice cream I did opt in for a gyro. The order took a while to come out, but was hot and the Taziki sauce was seasoned well, but they could put a little more on the gyro. Also, the meat was sliced a little too thin, which made it a little dry once they put it on the grill. If I returned to Vassi's it would be to try the Philly cheesesteak and the ice cream because the Gyro was not a favorite at this location..

Recommended to stop here for lunch before heading to the Lost River Caverns which is 5 minutes away. They don't have a website and the menu online shows limited offerings. I made sure to take and post their current menu so you can see all that they offer. Seems like a family operation and they were so sweet and hardworking. The food was all really good and fresh! Their homemade falafels were excellent and their burgers were local beef and compared to shake shack quality. I saw that they had a spit for those who ordered gyros. The hersheys hard ice cream was also a lovely touch to the local community. The only thing I'll say is that their portions are smaller -- so if you have a big appetite, no judgment in ordering two burgers. Plenty of parking in their lot. Loved it here!

    Just part of menu.

This place just has a cool greasy spoon feel to it and I totally love it. Everything we ate was just absolutely delicious and cooked to order. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back to try some desserts for sure. FYI this isn't McDonalds so don't expect food quickly but they def do their best to get your food to you asap.

2 soft serve sundae's, 6.70 each. I understand there's tax but the bill was 15.10. I'm no genius but they overcharged us. Made one sundae and I asked for a lid. As she was putting the lid on she said sorry we're out of the right size lids and proceeded to put a to small lid in my ice cream. Made the second one and said we're having trouble finding whipped cream. While they searched the first sundae turned into soup. They couldn't find any whipped cream so oh-well, we're out of luck. 15.10 for a bowl of soupy ice cream and an unfinished sundae. Sorry Vassie's, you lost customers today.

I was traveling for a wedding and looking for a quick eatery. I saw the reviews on this location and felt it was worth a shot. The building is that old school run down spot so I knew I like it. Ordering was easy, food was quick. Fries were really good. Great flavor. Gyro was average. It's coming from my Greek heritage so I have standards lol. The fried fish sandwich my wife had was really good. Better than my gyro. I would come back for that fish. My son also enjoyed the fries. The location def needs some love and care. Its worn down. I likely won't return to this area anytime soon but I strongly suggest making a trip to this location. Fish sandwich is a definite try and the fries are awesome.

It is definitely a college town bar (I'm in my early 50's). The bartender was prompt and took our drink orders right away. The cook is right in front of you at the bar which is kind of cool. You could tell by speaking with him that he took pride in their menu. He let us sample some of the sauces which was great. I had the special of the day which was a grilled tomato/bacon cheese on Texas toast and a tomato soup with rice, ground beef, onions and peppers. It was fantastic! I also had the Cowboy bites which were jalapeños with cream cheese, bacon and corn - my goodness they were so good! My bro had the "what came first". Fried chicken sandwich with a fried egg and bacon. It came with fries and he said it was really good. My husband had Tri-tip cheese steak with no mushrooms. He said it was delicious. We were there on our own time without a schedule, so we didn't mind having to wait for our bartender. It started getting busy while we were there so the vibe was pretty cool. We will definitely be going back!

You walk in, you are at the bar area,But, there is a hostess stand there if you are interested in grabbing a booth to order food. Which is what we have always done and is what we will now never do again because service from this 1 particular shorter waitress is awful. After she dropped our food to the table we didn't see her for an hour despite trying our best to flag her down and asking the other waitress to get her for us so we could have our bill. The owner was working harder than this waitress collecting our empty dishes, asked us if we needed anything, cleaning tables( our waitress removed a used empty glass when she seated us) and I have no clue where she went or what she was doing that while time that she failed to see if everything was okay, we needed anything/refills or were ready to the check. Instead, since my daughter is a regular, she gave us a tip to sit at the bar and order food. Service is much better. Every time we've gone there the food has always been good. This time I got a chicken philly cheesesteak and it was delicious also! Can't say much about the crowd. It's definitely a spot for the younger groups to hang out since the college is so close. The bad thing about that is that they don't respect you at your booth if you are in one just for food. They stand right in front of your table in groups talking and you have zero privacy and it's actually a bit suffocating. When they finally did all move for a moment, I could finally feel the air circulation. This was only around 5:30pm. Service- still awful Food- great Atmosphere- depends what you're looking for

They kept a lot of the buildings older character so it'll appear as a "hole in the wall", but I found it warm and cozy. Seating choices include several tables, a long bar that faces the cooking area and a window seat for two that looks over Main Street. The staff was friendly and prompt. The menu has all of your breakfast standards, but also includes crepes. The lunch/dinner part consists of burgers, hotdogs, pierogies, tacos, chicken tenders and sandwiches. On the sweet side they have house-made baked goods, ice cream, sundaes, banana splits and milkshakes. My son and I stuck with breakfast. I had coffee and "The Shirley Special" - 2 eggs, 1 slice bacon, 1 slice thick French toast, breakfast potatoes $9.50. My son had a Turkey Hill chocolate milk, two eggs and a bagel. The Shirley was a good portion for the price. Everything was fresh and came out quick. My only nitpick was the bagel with my sons meal. It was a plain jane supermarket type of bagel. A place like this needs to serve some fresh local bagels! The coffee was a simple and tasty black roasted blend. Breakfast for two at $20 wasn't bad. The bathroom located in the back was small, but clean. I'd definitely return when traveling through the area. Thanks guys!

We were seated right away in an open format atmosphere with the best balance of light and dark. The bar across from us looked fantastic. What we noticed right from the start is how well the staff works with and for each other to bring guests the best dining experience possible. Maddie was our server. She was kind, professional, patient, and knowledgable about both food and drink on a grand scale. Her recommendations were stellar. I had a refreshing gin and basil martini as well as their beef carpaccio, which was absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend started with their beef stew, which was thick and satisfying. It was so delicious, she almost canceled her entree to have more. She went with the home cooking route and indulged in their meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. Although she loved that as well, half had to come home with her, which made for an excellent lunch the next day. I went with the raw of it all and got their spectacular tuna tartare with asparagus, radish, and rice. Usually, the tuna is cut into strips but this tremendous block of gorgeous fish knocked me out. Absolutely fantastic from presentation to flavor. For dessert, we got their brownie with ice cream and this was all upper level in taste and texture. I would be shocked if their ice cream hadn't been made in-house. We loved our first experience with Apollo and we look forward to our next visit, which is hopefully sooner than later.
