So I brought my car in for a synthetic oil change. Price on the high side , but I went with them. Oil was changed. Couldn't identify the leak I had , which I could live with. Not a garage but just quick lube express shop. What put it over the top for poor service in my eyes was they didn't advise me the coolant was low or offer to top it off. When I called later on they said they could for an added fee. Paying in the $120 range for an oil change that should be included ( within reason ). The person on the phone said she would check into my service record and call me back. True case of they already got paid " who cares now " about the customer. No call was made back to me ! I won't be back. Plenty of better options for the price. Why would anyone deal with that when other places simply offer a better service. Don't waste your time unless you are in a true pinch. read more

Go here if you want oil on your drive way! Called back and kept ignoring the fact that I now have to get my driveway cleaned. There is oil on my driveway now because the people who like doing the oil changes there don't even bother cleaning the oil that comes out of the reservoir. My truck has NEVER leaked oil. The owner Jana, was responsive and helpful to the questions I had regarding being a Synchrony Car Care location as well as being able to service my European car (Volkswagen) which typically uses a different oil and my Hyundai. Service was relatively fast - under 30 minutes for both my cars. I think I overheard another customer being able to bring their own oil of choice for them to use, which is a nice option if so! Price was also surprisingly cheaper than the previous shop I was going to for my Hyundai, more expensive for my Volkswagen but as expected due to needing European oil. Will be back to bring my cars for oil changes. read more

This place has not given me good vibes the few times I have been there over the years. One time I went in for an oil change and whomever was about to work on the car started yelling at me and told me to get this car out of here, because whomever did the last oil change stripped the threads on the oil pan bolt and he said he won't be able to get it back on so get it out of here before it starts leaking all over the place. This seems like an easy fix to an experienced mechanic, just replace the bolt. You should tell me nicely what the problem is, he obviously was having a bad day and doesn't know how to talk to people, but after that I vowed not to go back there just because of the rudeness. Fast forward a few years later and I am in need of a smog check, I figured how could they mess that up, I wanted to get it done quickly and figured why not. Well here we go again, I bring it in, and tell the person who checked me in that the door handle isn't working and they would have to open it from the outside so leave the window open. I get a call a few hours later stating to pick the car up and it didn't pass, because I had the wrong catalytic welded on there, and also there is evidence of a re-welded cat as well. My car has two cats. Anywho, I say no problem, even though they passed my car's smog previously when my wife took it there. The first thing I notice was that they broke the inside door handle even though I told them it wasn't working they forced it and broke it completely. Whatever, then they couldn't find my DMV Registration paperwork. So unorganized. They told me I have to see the Smog Referee. I took it to my local muffler shop, and they obviously didn't look at the sticker under the hood that my car does not need to meet the California emission requirements, since it is a Federal emissions vehicle. Mistake #1, if they would have looked at the sticker and checked the CARB Database they would see that my car does have the right CAT on it. Mistake #2 is that they saw a reweld on my existing stock original cat because I had my muffler guy check to see if it was clogged or needed replacement which it didn't so he just rewelded it on. If they would have looked at the ET Blast #165399 it states that unanticipated welds before and after the cat do not constitute cause for failure. Thank you !!! Fast forward a month and a visit to the SMOG Referee in Las Positas, they passed the car with flying colors. Just a few hoops to jump through if they would have just done their due diligence they could have saved me time and frustration. I won't be using Vasco Quick Lube for anything in the future, save your time and money and go to a better smog location, perhaps one that specializes in Smog checks not just oil changes. read more

Been a customer for years snd have never seen a business take a nose dive like this. The bearded dude running the counter was a disgusting example of customer service. I walked into an empty lobby and stood there without acknowledgement from this guy for the entire time. I said ok maybe he's disabled, blind and deaf, so I sat down. Ten minutes later or so, he had gone some paperwork, he yells out: you need to sign here! I realized he was neither deaf nor blind, just pretending I wasn't there. I walked over signed and watched this guy make sure I knew that he was purposefully not acknowledging me as a couple other customers of his ilk came in snd received better treatment. What a clown. I had a great experience here. My little civic needed a smog- it's getting up in years, but I waited because I was worried about Covid. However, I finally felt like I just had to get it done. I went about 10:10am- had a very short wait and my car was done! The manager inside was wearing a mask as she helped me order the smog and helped me check out after it. There is an indoor AND outdoor waiting area (and everyone is required to wear a mask inside- and everyone was.) I am very grateful to this business for a positive experience at this difficult time. (also, when I called last week a very nice man told me when it was least busy- so I could bring the car at a good time. I wish I'd gotten his name so I could say how helpful that was!) read more

Came here to change the oil on my Toyota Prius. Price was on par even with Dealer so there is no real savings between Vasco Quick Lube and Dealer. Some lube shops might have better deals. However, I was out and about in about 15 mins, maybe less so indeed they were quick. read more

So when I stopped for gas, I did a quick search and when I saw the work "quick" in the name, I was sold. Came over and they had me in and out and did a great job talking to me about some car questions I had. Excellent place to bring your vehicle for an oil change! They got me in and out when my own dealership could not get me in for a basic service and I was out in less than 30 minutes! Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from these ridiculous car dealerships for service work that do not value your time and take you car to Vasco Quick Lube for it's service. My car was working wonderfully before I took my car here to get it smogged. It passed smog and they called me to pick my car up. Car wouldn't start, but key battery was working just fine as the indicator light was turning on and it was a brand new keyfob battery. Then we ask them to put a new battery in and they determined it was the alternator. It seems like an insane "coincidence" that my battery light indicator wasn't on in my car and that there was literally nothing wrong with my car when I brought it in but now I have a dead battery and am needing a new alternator? I dealt with one very professional tech named Ed who was really nice and helpful but called his manager (Jana) and she refused to help us out in any way- wouldn't give us the battery at a discount whatsoever, or refund the price of the smog, didn't want to talk to us at all. I'm a manager at my work and it's extremely important to me to keep a customer relationship in tact and respectful. She chose not to do that and that's why I won't let anyone I know bring their car here and we won't ever bring our cars here ever again, you can decide on your own if you trust them or not. I would consider bringing my car back if Ed was the manager as I believe a successfully run business has an on-duty manager there at ALL times. Ed was also the only person I spoke to who maintained any sort of professionalism and genuine helpfulness. There was another guy who spoke to us who should stay in the garage part of the shop- he was brash, rude, accusatory and glib. I really can't be sure what happened here but all I know is I brought it in working great and left needing a new battery and a new alternator. You be the judge. The AAA tech we were forced to have tow our car and also our trusted auto mechanic both said it was extremely weird that it was driving fine and then all of a sudden it had an alternator issue. A note to the owner/manager- if you aren't going to take the time to manage your shop on location- including handling issues which occur daily, which is the most important thing an owner or manager can do, maybe pay someone else to do the job you aren't doing, that's how any well-run business operates! read more

I needed an oil change and I was able to walk in and get one on the same day. I called ahead for a quote and the lady told me $45 for standard oil. When I arrived they told me that I need synthetic oil and that they don't offer non-synthetic oil. I was also told I had to pay more because I had more than a 5 qt tank. Total I had to pay $94 which is a rip off because I can get an oil change for half the price at Big O Tires. If I didn't need an oil change right away I would've have left. read more

Hey. So I paid about $125 or $130 for my oil change. This is about $25 more than i usually pay at Lube Boys, but I needed an oil change ASAP. They got the job done and the service was pretty good but HUGE issue for me is that they put the wrong sticker on my windshield so I'm not sure when I really need to be back for my next oil change. Smh. It says return at 70,000 miles on the sticker but my Benz has 180,000 miles on. Make it make sense . Attention to detail please. Thanks tho read more

Warning: I took my car with 80,000 miles here and it cost me close to $15,000 to repair it after they overfilled it with oil and my engine seized. Took my high performance street car here for an oil change. Drove a short distance, lost all oil pressure. Mechanic says it was overfilled with oil and damaged the bearings. Can I prove it? I can only prove that the car had too much oil in it and it died shortly after they serviced it. You've been warned. I had to buy a new engine that cost way more than my car blue books for. UPDATE: Jana's response is filled with lies. We DID file a report with the State Bureau of Automotive Repair, they DID determine it was Vasco Quick Lube's fault, Vasco Quick Lube then turned it over to their insurance company who decided to settle for $15,000 rather than to go to court. Wake up Jana! They left the radiator cap off after their inspection and top off of my coolant. Subsequently, the engine overheated once the coolant all boiled off about a week later. The engine sustained $$$ damage and Jana Blau, the owner, decided it was not their fault!!! REALLY??? I guess the court will have to decide...... read more

I have been taking my car to Vasco Quick lube for about two years now - And I started taking my wife's car here too. They are very polite. The worst thing in the world has happened to us - we got an Oil change (synthetic 5,000 mile oil change) Paid Extra for it too. After a normal visit, I left and went on driving my car, less than $3,500 miles later the car was out of oil, bone dry. I had a few mechanics look at it - No leaks. Vasco swears they put enough oil in, but it is not the case - AND now they say ...even though it is a 5K oil change that it is OutSide of their written Warranty. Although my car still drives - It makes sounds and I was told that i should replace the engine - Like I have that kinda of money. I recently sold the car, because I had no faith it would continue to be drivable for my family and I. Again - although they are polite, Make sure you check your Oil and DO NOT TRUST what they tell you they added to your car. Check for yourself. I will NOT be taking my cars here again. Im not going to lie, I thought all these five star reviews were from plants...but this place is the real deal. The hubs and I walk in and were promptly greeted by a friendly front desk gal who invited us to spin the prize wheel. We did not win the elusive free oil change, but thats ok. We were quoted a 45 minute wait and we strolled across the street to grab some breakfast. When we returned (early) we relaxed on the couch and watched Jurassic Park for a bit until our car was ready.
