I really liked this place from the moment I called them on the phone. Of all the places I called for an Oil Change estimate, this was the most friendly and helpful call. I decided to go because of the good price and 20% discount for first time customers. Then when I got there, they told me I got to spin the wheel for a bigger discount! And I landed on the free regular oil change! (I needed synthetic oil so it still cost me a little more), But it was a great surprise and they treated me well. They did the other stuff too... like topped off my windshield wiper fluid and inflated my tires... All in all I got the cheapest ($40 compared to the estimated $70-$100 at other places) oil change I'll ever get with synthetic oil, and I got great service! read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. Had been going there on and off for about 2 years, never had an issue until recently. First when I brought my car in for an oil change, the technicians had to have me come out and pop the hood for them because they couldn't figure out you had to pull the latch twice (it even had a picture with a x2 on the latch)! Ok, brushed it off figured it wasn't a big deal. Then, the front desk lady asked if it was the same as last time, I said yes. After they completed the oil change she notified me my car was supposed to take full synthetic oil, and that I didn't get that the Last time I was there. I had asked her the first time to look up what kind of oil it needed and she advised the blend. So I said ok, you put synthetic in this time then, right?...nope still put the wrong kind of oil in...this place is a joke with poor management, avoid it at all cost. read more

My bad for not planning my oil change more responsibly and pushing this last one out to the limit. My daughter and I have taken our car(s) to VQL for years. They're the best! The mechanics and front desk support are always super-friendly, and the service is quick and competent. I just got my Lexus smog-tested today at lunch and they got it done within ~30 minutes, even though there were a few people ahead of me. I might think twice about taking my car here, and for my family I definitely won't be doing any more business with Vasco Quick Lube. Let me paint a clear picture why I'd recommend all of you to stay away from this place: 1) misdiagnosis - of a 2007 gti golf - The battery wasn't holding a charge and my girlfriend's car would quickly die after leaving her door open. I took it to this place and the service advisor said they tested the battery. After taking it to VW, and Kragen both confirmed it was a battery issue and was clueless on why I was told this information 2) When this place first opened I took my 2003 Mach 1 Mustang for an oil change, and what did they forget to put back on? The oil plug, oh and after driving 2 miles home, and then having my car towed back to the shop - they said it wasn't their fault, but neglected to tell me there was no oil plug. Now of course I didn't go back, but my mother, father, and sister still wanted to do business, fair enough. 3) Now, during a routine oil change, I swear one of their mechanics were on, well let me describe his characteristics...he spoke too fast to understand, kept asking the same question after I had answered 3 different times, told me my car was done, and it wasn't worked on yet, and oh had the "sniffles, and then lashed out at me when I said, my car wasn't done. Lashed out by telling me I called him a liar, and I didn't trust his "honest opinion" the good news is I don't think he is there any more. 4) Most recently, A friend of the family brought their car there, and their oil plug fell out on the free way, not the first time this shop has demonstrated neglect to oil plugs, causing the engine to cease. Not only did the AAA driver confirm it, and but so did the dealership. The BAR investigated this place, and found them at fault. My husband and I decided to take a ride yesterday on the bikes. After having problems trying to get mine started I hopped on the back of his Harley and we headed towards Mt Diablo. On the way we realized that it was near lunch time and had nothing so we swung into the Subway and picked up a sandwich and hopped back on the Harley flipped the ignition and nothing happened. I remembered seeing the Quick Lube when we were pulling into Subway so I walked over and talked to the guys at the counter who were very helpful they got us the tools we needed to get to the battery and gave us a jump start. Of course we had to head back home since the battery was going to hold a charge. So much for the Sunday ride but we really wanted to say thanks to the guys that were working on 6/26/17 for coming to the rescue. read more

Just amazing. I needed new rotors and pads for my Accord and originally called Livermore Honda for a labor quote since I already had rotors and pads. After talking to Livermore Honda service they seemed completely uninterested in helping trying to rush me off the phone. I called Vasco Quick Lube next and they quoted mr $120 vs $250 at Livermore Honda. Took my car to Vasco today and get a call that the rotors and pads I bought were actually not correct. I have been a faithful client to this business for the past 7 years just recently they hired a Spanish woman at the front desk who has a bad chip on her shoulder. She gave me attitude right as I entered the store (I tried to ignore the food on her lip). After reading the recent reviews I thought I might be greeted with a spin at the coupon wheel, instead when I inquired on a coupon for an oil change she replied I can try online. I explained to her that I had already looked online and that I tried to acquire the Groupon which wasn't ready yet on the website, she told me to look on their website and sat there while I pulled out my phone and found the $5 off coupon-the usual professional employee Carl always tries to accompany the customer with some sort coupon- worth a significant amount implying good business practice. I told her that I've been coming here for a long time and asked if there was anything she could do, she rudely replied no and told me since I've been here before I should know to pull my car around so they can service rather than have it parked in their lot. I was pretty offended by the attitude so rather than duck my head out to the car I asked her what the total might be with the applied coupon on their website- she repeated herself in the same snide voice that since I've been here before I should know that I need to pull my car around to be serviced. I Myself, a grown ass man, approaching 40 years old in a couple years find it hard to be disrespected at a place that I have zero obligation to. I verbally recognized her attitude and asked her what was the problem. She said there's no problem she just needs the car to be pulled around I I swallowed my pride smiled and told her thank you pulled the car around and that was that. Used to be a great, quick and cheap oil change place. Went numerous times and was always well treated and never paid full price with coupons. However, as of December 2016, they lost employees and have awful customer service. I came for a oil change and an engine system flush and I was the only customer there for almost the entire time. I waited for almost 2 1/2 hours, no one even touched my car, and re only reason they started working on my car again is because I asked what was going on. I complained to the cashier and they basically had no excuse and offered nothing in return for my wasted time. Worst customer service I've experienced at an oil change place and I will never go back. Failed my truck for smog, a 98 2500 24v Dodge for not having a cat. This make, year etc. doesn't even come with a cat, I brought this to their attention I simply got an "oh well". I've previously had my truck smoged multiple times, where I failed at Vasco Quick Lube, I've gotten an "non applicable" stamp. Either they need to understand what they are talking about or at least listen to someone who knows their truck. I've even called dodge and ran my vin to see if there was a mistake on my part, and nope there was no cat in my truck at the production line. It's even in my owners manual, they suck. read more

I'd like to give Vasco 5 stsrs. They do a good job at a reasonable price, however had a bad experience there today which keeps me st 3 stars. They are open until 7pm. I was at the stoplight nearby at 6:20 and I could see the crew standing around outside. That's fine, but once I drove up to get an oil change they closed the garage door, at 6:30 and the guy told me "we have a mess to clean up come back tomorrow." I like Vasco because of their flexible hours but I'll go elsewhere from now on if they fo that again. read more

No stars. The technician did not properly put the oil cap back on my car after an oil change. The car leaked oil all the way to Brentwood until it was dry. Had to have car towed back to Vasco Quick Lube from Brentwood. Owner reimbursed for tow but not for oil change. My engine could have seized up and stranded me. Very dangerous. Oil was leaked and blown all underneath my car which the technician, when he added oil back to the empty reservoir, did not appear to notice or report. Judging from the gangsta music blaring at the shop, would be surprised details are noticed at all, much less quality work accomplished. Owner claimed to have found a place to steam clean the underside of my car and gave me $100 for it. But when I called the company to clean it, they say they don't clean the underside of cars and certainly would charge much more than $100 if they did clean the underside. Poor work ethic, poor management, poor customer service. Stay away. read more

I dropped by to ask about a smog check during my lunch and was welcomed immediately and told it should take no more than 20 minutes. I pull around and dropped off my car, grabbed lunch next door and when I walked back, my car was waiting outside. I was able to pull up the coupon they offered on line and apply it to my bill. Worst service in the office EVER. When it takes 30 min to process my payment and paperwork and my car has been done for 20 min that's an issue! I'm not sure if their system is slow, if their employee doesn't know how to use it properly or a combination of both but it was painfully slow! I have been going here for about 6 years and never had a problem until just last year with this terribly slow service. I could understand if it were super busy, but the few times I went it wasn't that busy, my car / jeep sat in front for at least 15-20 min while I waited for her to get the payment and info entered. Needless to say the services in my opinion in office has gone way down. The women who worked in there awhile back was much more friendly and personable. For the cost of what I pay each time to get my oil changed Id expect the person helping me to at least ACT nice and preferably not take 30 min to process ONE payment! It cost me $1,100 in repair after they used the wrong filter on my truck. Please be careful when using this shop. Very nice people but not trained in all aspects of oil changes. They put on the wrong oil filter on my vehicle and caused engine damage and possible costly long term engine damage ($17,000). Do not expect them to read caps labels etc.... It won't happen. If it's a standard oil change for something simple it might be OK if you're lucky. Other than that I would not do business with this shop. You may end up paying for more than an oil change in the long run. Better go to a large chain where ALL the techs have been trained in all facets of the oil change business. read more

I go here all the time for autocare however last visit diiferent.I specified i wanted my tires rotated.I pickup car ...charged 16 dollars for tires that were NOT rotated... my surprise when i walked out.i got my 16$ back but now i wonder if oil was even changed for my $45.???? The fact that i had to tell them this is disapointing. Visir on june 30 at 2 pm. They have to earn my trust back.. again was i jacked on oil? I wanted to add they told me they put the tire pressure to spec on my tires ..Not...i tested and they were 10 an 7 pounds off.they need to take down the yelp winner sticker off the door.My wife got her car done there and they did not even fill the windshield washer fluid.All the"premium" services you supposedly pay for are not done.Two weejs and not a peep from owner.i will now warn the community at large that your work is getting sloppy and they should consider alternatives and if still want to chance it ..my advice check that they did everything that youpay them to do. read more

I took my precious to them, yeah my precious. I have an old IROC in very good condition. I generally take it to my mechanic in Dublin, but I did not want to deal with all the trafic on a friday afternoon. The staff was polite, but that is about it. The technician who came to me said they were having a problem with the oil plug. I asked what was the issue, he said they tried to rethread it, but it will not tighten down. I went under the car with the technician, they had my plug and another one there. I asked what was wrong, they said it would not hold the torque and they cannot let the car leave. Mind you now I am 20miles from home with a car that they over tightened, tried to rethread it, and now want to charge me for an oil pan. WTF REALLY? I talked to the owner, after I had them put the car back together with the old plug simi tight. She stated that they did not rethead anything, even though it was written on the paperwork. She states now the damage was from bottoming the car out. I explained the car is not beat up, and I can put it on an rack and prove it. This 88 car has 100k miles, never driven in the winter and has the orginal paint. Not a beater like she made it out to be. When I tried to leave, and explained that my normal mechanic that did the last oil change states everything was fine. I showed her the paperwork of the rethreading, she tried to take it from me. REALLY? The staff is polite, but they do not admit to the mistakes made by their technicians. Everyone makes mistakes, good shops will make it right no matter the cost. I now have an oil spot in my driveway and a quote of 630.00 to replace the oil pan, and all I wanted was an oil change with synthetic oil. read more
