This is the best quickie lube I go to. They are quick (the best part) curious, professional, and I don't feel like they are trying to sell me the kitchen sink when I stop in. These guys are great! Went in for an oil change. They are very detailed, checked all my fluids, battery, and air pressure in my tires. What's not to love about this place? I just took my daughter there to get her Nissan Cube's oil and filter changed, and the experience for us was 100% complaint free: They explained in advance what they were going to do and what it would cost, plus they checked all the belts and lights and cleaned the front and rear windows. The employees there were professional, speedy, and courteous. Before we were even done with our Slurpees at 7-Eleven next door, the work was all done -- a Quick Lube employee on his own way to 7-Eleven told us to pick up the car any time. Especially when you consider that the best thing a car owner can do for his/her car is to keep it full of clean oil, this service is definitely worth it. The excellent service is icing on the cake. I came in for a smog. Standard service from car service people. No problems, but nothing super special, either. They do have a lot of coupons on their site, though, which is pretty cool. I went into Vasco Lube for the first time about a week ago to get a routine oil change. Not only were they extremely kind, but they weren't pushy, and didn't try to overwhelm me with information or mechanic jargon that I wouldn't be able to understand. Additionally, they gave me a 10% military discount, and let me spin the prize wheel , where I won 15% off a future service. These guys are a joke. They Stripped the head of my drain plug, tried to gouge me by saying they needed to use a special extraction tool. They tried to place blame instead of owning their F. Up. I took the car to the Honda dealership, they got the plug out no prob and replaced the plug for free. No pointing fingers no hassle, no up charge. My wife's car was serviced at Vasco Quick Lube. The service person left the oil cap off. Always check an oil changers work. We didn't. The car ran around for two weeks with the cap off. When we confronted Quick Lube they flushed the engine to remove any contamination and refilled the synthetic oil with a new filter. I give them 5 stars for being a stand up company. read more

It's always been quick, honest, and fairly priced (especially with the coupon wheel). The best thing about the gang that works here is that they have never hesitated to tell me when they cannot do the work one of our vehicle needs - they have always been upfront about their abilities and referred us to other excellent mechanics for things they are not confident they can handle in the shop there. I've been going to vasco quick lube for years. There service has been great. Although they do more than oil changes, I wouldn't go beyond that. I don't think most of there "mechanics" are well rounded or have the experience beyond basic maintenance. If your looking for a good quick oil change you'll be fine. read more

My car broke down on the freeway and Vasco was the only place open on a Sunday. I got my car towed to them and they were busy, but helped me right away and started looking at my car. They quoted me $100 per hour to look at the car, but promised not to charge more even if it took 2 hours (pretty great deal already). So the mechanic looked at it, found the problem right away, and tried to fix it. Unfortunately, the problem is something only a dealer can fix, but he told me everything I needed to know to get it fixed, AND DIDNT CHARGE ME ANYTHING (not even the $100 I was quoted)! This was just incredible because you always hear horror stories about getting screwed by mechanics, but not here. I was and am so grateful and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Livermore area. Very professional and not looking to take advantage of people. read more

The music was blaring loudly, there didn't appear to be a person working that was over 25 years old. My husband went in today for a routine oil change. When he went to sign the dotted line prior to service he noticed the price was over twice it usually is.. They were trying to up sell to synthetic oil - without asking. One of the reasons I used to like Vasco Quick Lube was the non up sell attitude, unlike Oil Changers. The main reason I am dropping my review to 2 stars were the several "F-bombs" the employees were throwing around. There were 2 little girls and their mother in the waiting area with my husband and this is totally not acceptable for a a business. It made it very uncomfortable. read more

I'm really bummed to have to write this because I did trust them. I took my car in for an oil change and a smog check in mid March. I drove away thinking everything was fine and about 2 weeks later I took my car to our family mechanic for something totally different. Our family mechanic was shocked at how black the oil was and he asked me how long had it been since I changed my oil! What!!! Quick Lube supposedly changed it and they even charged me for the high mileage oil. It sucks that they couldn't even change the oil! Nice guys but I'll never go there again...can't trust they'll do what they say. read more

This place is amazing! The staff is incredibly helpful and experienced. I have a Toyota Highlander and the Toyota dealer wanted to charge me $58 to change the cabin filter. After reading these reviews, I decided I would try this place out. They sold me the cabin filter for a much lower price and installed it for free! I actually hate taking my car to mechanics or to get an oil change because I always feel like the staff tries to play upon my ignorance to get me to spend more money; however, these guys are the exact opposite. Almost 2 hours for oil change and coolant flush. I was not informed of the time this would take before the work started. I would have come at a different time. When it was clear that I was tired of waiting I was offered a pittance of a coupon that amounted to 5% off. Other customers were freely offered 20% off coupons. I feel discriminated against. Two strikes and I'm out of here. Have been taking 8 company vehicles and my two here for several years. A couple of weeks ago one of our service vans had to have major brake repairs including new rotors. Less than 1000 miles previously Vasco Quick Lube serviced that van including a brake inspection. I can't believe that the brakes wore down to the rotors in less than 1000 miles but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Yesterday I have them change the oil on my Nissan Xterra. On the way home I noted strange noises and when I got home and looked underneath, I found that the front skid plate was not reattached. The two front bolts were missing and the back three were not tight and the plate was dangling. It was the only vehicle in the shop at the time and they were not rushed, just sloppy work. read more

WIsh I could give this place 0 stars! I havent had a bad experience here before but after yesterday it makes me never want to visit this place again. If i were you i would think twice about bringing your car here! While they were changing my oil they checked my batter and said it was dead and wasnt starting. Which not sure how that happens unless you leave it running the whole time you were changing the oil. i had things to do so i didnt argue and just told them to change it.. after they were all done they started the car and everything was normal. he then turned it off and double checked everything and shut the hood. then proceeded to start the car again to drive it outside. well when he did this he turned the key way to hard more than once and broke my key! luckily he didn't snap it in the ignition but he broke the plastic piece that holds the key into the FOB where i can lock and unlock my doors. And let me just tell you this key is well over $100 and can only be bought at the dealer! The technician then proceeded to argue with me and tell me it was broken like that when i brought it in. i don't like being attacked because YOU messed up! one of the other technicians tried to tell me oh you just snap it back together and its good as new. it wasn't until i opened up the key after i left that i noticed the whole inside had been broken! never going here again and i will be calling the manager this morning. absolutely ridiculous! read more

My husband and I, our daughter, son-in-law and four year old grandchild noticed our car was making noises and got off the freeway at Vasco and pulled into small shopping center. When we checked the oil, it was empty. We got some oil at a mini-mart and put it in but no help. This was a Sunday and we were thinking we wouldn't find anyplace open to help us but using the iPhone was able to find Vasco Quick Lube. It was only a quarter mile away so we went ahead and drove there and waited for it to open. When they opened, they checked the car and saw that it was leading oil. They ordered something to add to the oil in the car which they thought might get it so that we could drive the car home (about 55 miles away). Unfortunately this didn't work and they advised not trying to drive it anywhere so we called AAA and they came and got one of us who rode back home with the tow driver and then came back and picked the rest of us up. Throughout this whole procedure and the waiting time everyone who worked there was very nice and also very professional. They only charged us for the stuff they had ordered to try to help us and no charge for their time or labor which I thought was exceptional. If we lived in this area, we would definitely go here for oil changes and services! read more
