We settled on what I *thought* was needed, and he sent a rough estimate within a couple hours. A big relief! However, my circumstances changed abruptly, and I needed to cancel the move. As I had no idea If I would be moving within a couple months or a couple years, I couldn't in good faith postpone. Alex was completely understanding. Through the entire process, from first contact to an unfortunate need to cancel, he was courteous, upfront about all matters, offered helpful suggestions, and very pleasant to work with. My only issue, falls entirely on my shoulders. They do offer a refund policy, but it was me who misunderstood the details. On their site, it clearly states that a refund will be granted only if canceled within 48 hours of booking. I had read it as before 48 hours of my move. That's not on them, my fault. They came with so many people and they not only moved our 2 bedroom apartment but they also assisted in emptying out my mothers 2 big POD containers. The guys that came were simply outstanding they packed everything and moved everything like it was no big deal. It was definitely a long day and we provided them with water and snacks since it was also a warm day. They even helped up save some money at the end of the day and they were very friendly that we got to know a few of them. Me and my husband were very straight forward in letting them know what we had to move and empty and they provided us with as many people as they could which was great. My only issue was that they work so fast and there was so many of them it was difficult to mention where to put some items but it got done at the end of the day.

David at Mastodon movers reviewed the job--a couple of carpets, an office chair, a small shelf unit, 2 couches, a desk, 2 medium size statues, two bureaus. The bulk of the move was from suburban Boston to the city, then transfer several items onward to an exurban town near his office. He gave an estimate of $1300 and we agreed to use him. The move itself went without incident, the men were friendly and reasonably efficient. Mastodon then sent me a bill for $2900! That's much more than double!! I called to ask for reconsideration, they sent a bill for $2900. I've paid, but strongly recommend: BUYER BEWARE!!!
