Honestly Things started out SO great and I was very impressed! I even brought my niece with me and she started treatment there. I will start by saying, Dr. Varallo has a great chair side manor, and is very personable, but that doesn't make up for what has happened. I am being as detailed as I can be as to warn others to really, really do their research. Midway through the projected treatment time I started to get nervous. I constantly had to remind him what my "end goal" was and once I got a comment of "Oh, I would have done things differently from the beginning if I knew that".. My goal was clear at the beginning. When we were almost done treatment I was told that my bottom teeth were done.. While still being very crooked. If I didn't mention anything they would have been left like that! I, with no dental training, had to ask for a bracket reposition, Thanks internet! At this point I was very unhappy and afraid I wouldn't be happy with my results. I confided in the assistant multiple times to let her know I was not happy. (Please note that my anger is with the office manager and Dr. Varallo.. The assistants that I have personally worked with, Ashley and Sandra) were really kind.) The braces were removed and I made it clear I was pretty unhappy, (so much so I teared up when I saw them without the brackets on for the first time) with the results and nothing was said or done. Literally nothing. I thought I was just being a little picky, but Fast forward to a trip to my regular dentist for a cleaning, I was asked if I had finished my treatment with Dr. Varallo... My crossbite (effects my TMJ) and midline were never fixed or even attempted to be fixed. My front six teeth are uneven some being higher than others, and now after nearly two years I am starting from square one again. When I expressed how unhappy I was with the office manager she let me know Dr. Varallo went over "the limitations as to what he could do". I was then told by Denise (OM), that Dr. Varallo would not see me during business hours and if I wanted to talk about it, I could go in before the office opened, or during a lunch break, but those times were not an option for me at all, as they were in the middle of drop off and pickup for school. I have now been to a few orthos in the area and have gotten consults and exams. ALL of them have said more could have been done to get a much better outcome not only cosmetically (my main goal was to widen my smile and I was told unanimously that more could be done while Dr. Varallo said no more could possibly be done) and to fix my bite. I am back at square one and about to start treatment again. *Edited to add, Dr. Varallo never reached out or acknowledged that I was upset or dissatisfied with my outcome. NOT ONCE. Owning a small business and knowing first hand how word of mouth is really how you get business, that shocked me. And he seemed like such a nice guy who genuinely cared. After he was informed of the yelp review, he sent an email asking if my niece was going to continue her treatment here after "I lost trust in his practice" he then smugly offered to refund HER entire treatment cost while not mentioning a thing about to try and make things right with me. He did not even apologize or try to make it right. I sent a follow up email and it went unanswered. He did this knowing I had seen other orthos and have to redo treatment. I am willing to share all other orthos findings and new treatment plan privately with anyone who wishes, as I hope that this beer happens to anyone else. As an adult patient, I can not even begin to tell you how stressful this whole process was. From taking tons and tons of time off work (I was told at my consult they were open mornings, then found out they don't do morning adjustments those are for "long appointments", to now having to hire a lawyer to get my money refunded so I can go spend another two years fixing issues, I am not only frustrated, but could be out well over $6000. I truly, truly urge you to get multiple consults and to think on this decision as it could be extremely costly and time consuming. read more

Convenient location with knowledgeable and friendly staff! Plenty of flexibility when it comes to scheduling appointments and there is never a long wait. I had some crowding, so a few of my teeth needed to be shaved down a bit before they could be straightened out. That was quite jarring but Dr. Vallaro and his staff were so kind throughout the whole procedure. And most importantly it was expertly done. Currently I'm about half-way done with Invisalign and I'm making great progress. I can't wait to see the finished product. Would highly recommend Dr. Vallaro and his team! read more

I came here for a consult for my sons teeth two years ago (?) VERY busy office. We ran into three friends of my sons waiting for their appointments('running behind -they said') Met with Dr Varallo . Was not impressed with him- His over tanned , over whitened veneer riddened smile made me feel like he was pushing for a reality show. Just because you are talking with me (and I cant stand when the clinician just calls me 'Mom' - you HAVE my name) doesnt mean you need to keep flashing YOUR smile at me- I get you 'do teeth' for a living. He was REALLY pushy about 'starting right away and 'how would I pay for this?' - ' would his father being helping to pay? -even my son said (after we left) he felt like the 'orthodontist wanted to just take your money mom' We never used his services and went to Dr Fertman instead (LOVE HIM). We STILL get birthday cards for my son AND automated messages from the office - WE NEVER USED THEM! Argh!!!!!! Please stop! Oh and Dr Fertmans estimate was MUCH less expensive and my sons teeth look amazing. read more

Since day 1 at Dr. Varallo's office I had a pleasant experience. I saw him for a consult and he was informative about the options and cost. He never pushed me to purchase more expensive or unnecessary equipment. He offers the latest technology in braces, the Damon system. I loved it because it has no bands! This helps minimize the appearance of the braces and helps with hygiene because there is less "brace" for food to stuck in. Which was important to me as an adult with braces. His office is clean and organized and him and his staff were always polite and helpful. I never waited more than 5 mins for an appointment. He keeps on schedule and doesn't overbook his patients. Overall, I had a great experience with Dr. Varallo. I would highly recommend him. read more

Great experience, I'm from Melrose MA, and was recommended to Dr. Varallo from a local Dentist. I had a poor bite and some damage to a front tooth. I was hesitant at first seeing I was in my late 20's for braces, but Dr. Varallo showed me my options of invisalign or braces. My experience with this place was not good. Nurses talk their private conversation in front of the patients while they are working. They don't pay enough attention to the patient. The doctor does not tell you what is best for you and expects you to be a dentist to understand everything. Lastly they make you choose whatever easier solution for them not best for you. Great at explaining the whole process, appointments are almost always on time and very accommodating when there are things that require a last minute appointment. And everyone is so nice, which made the whole process easier for our daughter. I finished treatment almost three months ago, and I still have nothing but the highest praise for this office. My teeth look great, and Dr. Varallo worked with me to see if permanent retainers or removable were best for me. Due to similarities with Invisalign, I decided I would just stay in Removable Retainer Land. I was rescanned and the retainers came very quickly. Great office! read more

I did my Invisalign treatment with Dr Varallo. I had crooked teeth, an underbite, and TMJ pain. Because I'm in sales I wanted to be treated with Invisalign. I went to three other orthodontists for consultations. All three would only do braces. One even said I needed surgery. Dr Varallo was willing to do Invisalign. He even was willing to put braces on my teeth for free if Invisalign didn't work. Invisalign worked and braces were not needed after all. My teeth and bite look great. My TMJ pain also went away. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Varello and his entire staff. We were referred here by a friend for braces for my second daughter. My oldest daughter had braces done at another practice, so I have something to compare to. The office staff is beyond pleasant! They are professional , accommodating and super friendly. I am extremely pleased with the care I have received from Dr. Varallo and his staff. My daughter was first treated by Dr. Varallo, and that treatment went very smoothly, only taking about a year for her to have a perfect smile. Seeing her excellent results inspired me to take the plunge and improve my smile as well. I have been in treatment now for about a year and a half, and I am nearing the end. Dr. Varallo used Damon brackets on me, and the results have been impressive thus far. The Dr. used the Damon clear brackets on my top front teeth, so they are barely noticeable. There are differences in the brackets Orthodontists use, and the Damon system provides a faster treatment time, so you can get your braces off quicker. I have had a great experience at this office. I took advantage of the free consultation which was great. Dr. Varallo was really informative at the consultation and answered all of my questions. His assistant explained the whole process to me which made me feel so much more comfortable. Dr. Varallo gave two options for treatment, braces vs. Invisalign. I chose to have Invisalign treatment. Though I have just begun, I have already noticed a difference. I really like that all the staff are kind and understanding. My schedule is crazy and they work really hard to accomodate my needs. When I went in, the office seemed really busy but I did not have to wait. I have been seen a few times now and have only waited a couple of minutes. There is plenty of parking and the location is really easy to find. I have already recommended this office to my family members. My son had poor teeth. I got my friend's referral and after consulting with Dr. Varallo, I feel with comfortable with his experience and knowledge, we decided to have the treatment here. My son needed 2 treatments. 1st treatment was only for 6 months and we were very satisfied with the result. My son will have the 2nd treatment after his baby teeth are gone. Cannot share my excitement about Dr. Varallo's practice. In the beginning he was nice and paid attention to me but after some time it disappeared. He cancelled my appoitment and nobody notified me.
