We made appointments with their office and informed the office my kids' birthday information. After waiting for 3 weeks, the office lady Christina informed us the same day of our appointment that the dentist is not present at the office, and the doctor whom we scheduled the appointment with is an orthodontist who does not see patients under 7 years old...They knew we do not have any kids above 7 years old on the first day we made the appointment. They let us wait for more than 3 weeks just to tell us that the appointment had to be cancelled, despite that we have repeatedly stated over the phone the need for our children to do a routine dental check. Christina lied about leaving voice messages and calling us a week before our appointment, which were totally untrue after we checked and searched our call/voicemail history. Christina demanded the cancellation of the appointment (or re-schedule us for another 3 weeks) while I still nicely described our kids dental care needs. She didn't listen, and she commented "I think you don't fit for our office. You need to go elsewhere." at me over the phone. Absolutely no apology for creating this inconvenience while she could have cancelled or reschedule the appointment weeks before, or at least inform us that the appointment was impossible right away when it was scheduled. The patient care service attitude made us completely lose the confidence in this dental office. We understand sometimes human mistakes or miscommunication do happens, but her offensive words "not fit for the office" and "go elsewhere" are totally not appropriate.

zero stars - minus*…read more Buyer Beware -- Extremely Unprofessional and Unethical Experience This is a buyer beware review. We had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience at this practice. The physician remained largely inaccessible, hiding behind office staff until the very end of the process. Overall, our experience was riddled with incompetence, unprofessionalism, unethical behavior, and deception. My daughter had braces placed here and remained under their care for about 5-6 months before we moved out of the area. Below is a summary of the major issues we encountered -- both during treatment and while transferring to a new orthodontist. 1. Constantly Broken Brackets Almost every visit involved repairing broken brackets -- something we never experienced with our two older children who completed orthodontic treatment elsewhere. The staff repeatedly blamed my daughter, claiming she was eating "hard foods," even when the bracket broke after biting into something as soft as a French fry. Having to return after nearly every routine appointment for broken brackets is highly unusual and concerning. 2. Obstacles in Transferring Records When we requested treatment records after moving, we were told we had to come in person to sign a release -- despite living over 60 miles away. This is not compliant with HIPAA, which requires practices to release records upon a patient's written request without unnecessary barriers. The delay in transferring records to our new orthodontist caused a significant treatment gap, leaving my daughter with broken brackets for an extended period. It took multiple follow-up calls before anything was finally sent. This behavior was both unethical and unprofessional. 3. Extremely Limited Orthodontist Availability The orthodontist was only available Tuesday through Thursday with limited hours. Emergencies or urgent concerns outside those times were left unaddressed. For a medical practice handling active orthodontic cases, this lack of accessibility is unacceptable. 4. Dishonest and Inconsistent Refund Process When we moved, we were told we'd receive only 50% of what we paid -- despite my daughter having completed only 5-6 months out of a 30-month treatment plan. Even their office manager, Daniela, admitted that the fair and standard approach would be a prorated refund of about 80%, but could not justify why the office offered only 50%. They also tried to change the documented treatment time from 30 months to 24 months, reducing our rightful refund. Additionally, although we paid $6,100 out of pocket, the practice also billed our insurance, which wasn't factored into the refund discussion. The entire situation was handled with dishonesty and questionable ethics. 5. Unprofessional Conduct by the Physician After weeks of back-and-forth with staff, the physician finally joined a call -- only to speak in a rude and unprofessional manner. By that point, I had dealt with their team nearly ten times and had lost confidence in the integrity of the practice. Given the repeated mismanagement and lack of accountability, I requested a full refund, which I have yet to receive. Final Thoughts This practice appears to care more about money than patients. Our experience reflects a lack of professionalism, poor patient care standards, and questionable ethics. I would strongly advise families to look elsewhere for orthodontic care.

As she tightened it into place I almost screamed and fainted; this was far and away the most painful experience I've ever had, in a dentist's office or outside of one. The pain didn't let up and five days later I had her take the abutment and crown back out. She put me on a course of antibiotics to try to stop any infection from the obvious swelling that had begun (see the picture). I rejected her offer to try the whole procedure again, this time with a "tissue punch", and had the botched part redone by a dentist who'd been voted the 'Best Dentist in Boston'. Dr. Moser never apologized or expressed any remorse and of course never refunded the thousands she charged me and my insurance. Ongoing Complications Following Root Canal Treatment in 2011…read more I am writing to help shed light on a serious and ongoing complication from a root canal procedure performed at this office in 2011. Since that time, I have undergone three surgeries and still experience recurring infection and necrosis that has spread throughout my mouth, resulting in significant health issues. Recently I requested to have some of my health expenses with the proper receipts / notations from the health care providers. They ignored me then had an insurance lawyer write a unprofessional and inaccurate email back. Upon reviewing the x-rays prior to the root canal, tooth #4 was clearly compromised, with clouding surrounding the tooth. However, both Dr. Defrancesco and Dr. Cohen assured me that this was "normal." After the procedure, I was informed that everything appeared to be fine and that any issues might be related to the crown, which was later replaced at my own expense. Unfortunately, this did not resolve the problem, and the infection spread to other teeth, including #4, #5, and #2, as well as other areas in my mouth. I had previously reached out regarding a refund for the procedure, though I wanted to wait for more clarity before taking further action. I knew there was much more to this problem and didn't just want a-refund for the rootcanal. During this time, I encountered unprofessionalism and resistance when I initially made this request. It's also notable that I am a friend of Dr. D's sister in law. If this is how they respond towards people they know on a more personal level how will they treat someone they don't? The root canal procedure involved an apical puncture and overfill, leading to the infection. Immediate post-procedure x-rays revealed that the root canal was not properly executed, and the failure to inform me about the potential risks and complications constitutes a violation of the principle of informed consent. The toxic materials used in the overfilling can cause severe complications, and this has been the case in my situation. The extent of the damage was not and could not have been known until after the supposed statute of limitations had expired. The complications, including the spread of the infection, were not immediately apparent and were only discovered after multiple surgeries. This was hard to prove without convincing a doctor to open up the area, and having money to do it, which finally was done. It is clear that negligence occurred during the procedure, and yet, thid office has not taken responsibility or even shown any sympathy for the harm caused. Following the procedure, I experienced a severe decline in my health, (still having health issues from this to date) with documented issues such as severe sinusitis, post-nasal drip, sore throat, headaches, itchy eyes, vision issue, right ear issues/ pain and drainage issues, swollen lymph nodes, body pains, irritable bowel syndrome, neurological problems, anxiety, depression, stomach issues, cardiovascular problems, and irregular heartbeat. These symptoms worsened over the years and persisted even after tooth #3 was extracted. The spread of infection and necrosis is the primary cause of these ongoing health issues. I now have a tumor on the right side of my neck from persistent issues from this un-acknowledge mistake. My lymph node on the right has been consistently enlarged. Again, I had no previous health issues and all issues are directly related to this. Moreover, the most recent surgery on 3/15/2023 concluded that the original source of the problem in 2011 was tooth #4, not tooth #3 as initially diagnosed. This misdiagnosis led to an unnecessary root canal, which exacerbated the situation and instead cause me to almost die. As dental professionals, it should have been recognized that tooth issues can and do manifest as sensitivity in surrounding teeth. Additionally, Dr. Cohen punctured the apex of tooth #3 and overfilled it into my right sinus cavity without informing me, a serious "oversight" called malpractice. Had they diagnosed me properly and didn't perform a root canal on a healthy tooth none of this would have happened. Given the severity of the situation and the lasting impact on my health, I asked for partial compensation for the procedures not including harm caused or the work and schooling loss I incurred. I cannot afford to get implants which is causing issues with my jaw being uneven. Instead Ive been thrown away like yesterday's trash while they filled their pockets with my money and at the cost of my health/ life. My only hope at this point is to have my voice be heard, even on a small scale such as this and save someone else for having this happen to them.
