Dear anyone who is ever interested in getting lashes, brows, wax and sugars, facials, fillers, contours, microblades, manicures, and pedicures, or any of the services offered by Vanity, here's my advice: get it done RIGHT the first time here!! I've been coming to Vanity for nearly four years, at one point, making a 4-5 hour car trip each way, just to get the service and quality of product here. I'm still not that close today, traveling an hour each way, but I don't bother with going anywhere else because all other places just fall short. For any service you may want, at Vanity, you can rest assured that at Level 1 or , every technician here will give you amazing results. I've tried some other places here and there over the years when I'm out of state, or gifted services elsewhere for example, and I promise you, no other place compares to here. read more

I'm not a fan of this location. It's not very sanitary in the waxing room. Doesn't look like my sheets were changed before the previous use. Parchment paper was not used like the Mill Creek location. The tech did not make the experience inviting. Wax was extremely hot on my skin and I told her and she proceeded to say "I don't know what to say, the wax is on the lowest setting" and continued to put the hot wax on my skin. I received the worst possible manicure here- 1. No service- Your hand will only be cleaned with hand sanitizer before they start grinding the nails. Don't expect any nice trim. 2. No skill- The lady accidentally clipped off my skin next to the pinky. It hurts, and it's still not fully recovered over a week after. The gel was applied unevenly- The room was quite dark, so I didn't notice until I got out. I could've done a better job applying the color myself. 3. Hygiene concern- I noticed that after doing my nails, the lady put all the tools back in her porch directly without cleaning them. Let me start out by saying that every person I met from receptionists to lash techs were very kind and I am not upset with the customer service. I guess I am just more...disappointed with the whole experience. I went in on a Friday afternoon at the Edmonds location and found this place on Yelp because it's close to where I live and I was able to schedule an appointment last minute before my vacation to California. Again, everyone was very nice and I got a Classic Full Set and paid plus tip. The next day I woke up in morning and had several lashes (just the extension not attached to my natural lash) all over my face. I sleep on my back so I wasn't face down in a pillow or anything. They just continued to fall out and pretty much by the third day I only had a few extensions on one eye lol so I had to wear pretty thick eyeliner to kind of disguise it. While in Cali, I called them and let them know what happened and they scheduled me in Mill Creek for a complimentary fill for when I got back to WA. Well, I didn't know that this was only for 30 min and by the time I got back, I had no lashes and the lash tech said that she could only do so much in that time, so I understood and we booked a full set 3 days later with the same lash tech. I came back then and decided to do the Couture Full Set. She was great and my lashes looked amazing. They ended up charging me $75 (50% off) and I tipped her based on the full price of a full set since it was a 2 hour appt. So keep in mind that at this point within about 10 days I've paid for a full set ($150 plus tip) and then $75 plus tip (which is not a small amount!). Unfortunately the next day, I had a similar issue and found lashes on my face. The extensions just kept falling out, again not attached to my natural lash. At this point, I decided to just go to another lady and when she was fixing my lashes she said it was likely the glue they used because she wasn't even trying to remove the lashes and they just fell off when she barely touched them with her tweezers. Of course I still had to pay her for the fill even though she was very nice and gave me a discount. At this point I have spent well over $300 in a less than two week time frame to fix my lashes, which...sucks. Thankfully, her lashes stayed in tact and she told me to just wait til the other extensions have fallen out and she would see me again in a week to fill in the rest. So I will hopefully have nice lashes that don't fall out soon lol Again, everyone at Vanity was very kind and I do believe there are talented lash techs there, I am just bummed that it happened to me and I had to spend so much money only to have lashes that looked great for a day. read more

I called the edmonds store for a fill took a couple tries for them to answer the phone but they finally did i was booked for an appointment same day which is awesome! i come down to the edmonds store and it's locked with no signs just one with the business hours (which says they are open) i call the number again 4x before someone picks up and they said no your appointment is in millcreek.... girrllll what the, that would've been nice to know!!! she told me the that edmonds doesn't have a front desk right now? i mean like i work customer service too and its an honest mistake but i wasted my gas and time coming to the wrong store and understandable that she couldnt take me still bc it would've took me 30 min to get to millcreek but just wanted to share my experience so maybe they can do better read more

I wanted to wait for several months before I left an official review regarding my microblading experience. Hope this helps those who are anxious about committing to this. I'll be entirely honest - I was TERRIFIED to get my brows microbladed, but also desperately needed better eyebrows. I was a neurotic, nervous, hot mess when I showed up for my first appointment with Megan. She calmed me down, drew them on, and literally didn't pull out a single tool until I was 100% okay with the style, shape, size, etc. I explained to her that I don't normally do the faded "trendy brows", and that I didn't want that. She was very reassuring that she would ONLY match brows to the people wearing them. I was pleasantly surprised that she was able to do this and read through my anxiety to figure out what I wanted/needed. Typically, most people will only need 2 sessions. Their first, which places the outline and minor fill in, and the second, which is supposed to be your final touch up, which fills in all the details/ink that fell out after the first round. I needed 3, as some of the ink didn't stick in my skin. This will obviously be an individual result, but Megan was still kind enough to include this 3rd session in my pricing. Overall, I was very pleased and impressed by the staff professionalism, the cleanliness of the shop, the ease of scheduling, and even the pricing, albeit a significant investment. It's totally worth it and I'm super happy with my final results, they look natural, subtle, and can still be filled in for full makeup days. Things you should probably know: It is painful. 100% honesty. It does not feel great at all. However, they do their best to minimize the pain with a numbing cream. Expect to be a little thrown off at first by how dark and bold your brows look. Don't worry, they fade by 50% or more once healed. Avoid the sun or any tanning prior to or immediately after. Have realistic expectations. This is supplemental to your natural brow and should not look like it does when you do your makeup and fill them in. Enjoy! read more

I really wanted to love this place as it's so convenient to my home but the lashes just don't stay on. I got a full set and three days later one eye was massively less than the other. I called and went back in and for a complimentary touch up. This gal was a lot better and said my original lashes weren't put on properly. She said she could only do so much in the allotted time we were given which I totally understood. 5 days later and my lashes are no longer full and many have fallen off. First time and definitely the last time, drove 50 minutes away from home to only be disappointed. I'll start with the good, the gal who did my lashes was fine, didn't talk much but that's fine with me and the front desk reception was sweet, inside was nicely decorated, cute store overall, but quality of work and products....not so much. First off, I personally do my own lashes at home, I've been doing it for years and I've become extremely skilled at it, the downside is it takes a very very long time to complete and these days I don't have time anymore so I took the chance here. Never again will I be back as I immediately went home, had to use my personal glue remover to redo the lashes myself. For starters, the quality of lashes they use is bad, like plastic and shines, its rugged and it's worse than the ones I've purchased in the past for $10.00 on Amazon. Secondly, they didn't even have the length, they had 13s and nothing longer, what lash store doesn't carry longer lashes? Immediately I was disappointed as I always wear my lashes long. Now the quality of the application itself...my eyes were red for a few days, I've never had red eyes from doing my own lashes and they hurt after I left that place. She also missed MULTIPLE lashes on the ends and in the middle of my eyes that when I look in the mirror, one eye was going one way while the other was shorter in length and lashes were faced all different ways. Very messy, chunky in spots and bald in others, it wasn't even or close to symmetrical, and one eye had way more lashes than the other, it's as if she ran out of time because she spent more time on one eye and quickly tried to wrap up to stay within a 2 hour mark. I fixed them myself, added longer lashes, added lashes to each missing lash on the ends and middle of my eyes, then also removed the uneven, chunky and upside down lashes and redid that all. At least I did this via Groupon so I didn't end up spending 250 with tip but extremely disappointment with the service. Theres other lash stores that have better quality, length options and experience than this one, if you're a beginner in lashes it might be ok but if you've been getting them and know what they should look like, go find another place. read more

I got my lashes upgraded by Macy!! Made the jump to some Hollywood Volumes and let me tell ya...GAME CHANGER! Could not contain the smile that broke out on my face when I took that 1st selfie. I loved that Macy built my confidence in her the moment I laid down. She made sure I was comfy and asked me a series of questions to hone in on the look I wanted. I had questions, and she had answered. We chit-chatted about our cats and got to know each other a bit while she taped me up. (The eyelid lift taping is a sensation I didn't know I needed in my life btw ). I'm more comfortable with a silent service as the tech goes through my lashes bc I get fidgety, and need to focus on inner peace. I did not feel pressure to socialize, but felt comfortable to communicate if I needed anything- like a blanket lol. Could not be more disappointed. I decided to treat myself because life has sucked lately, a good friend and my dog both died this week and I just wanted a distraction. From the moment I arrived I felt uncomfortable. The receptionist was cold towards me and told me I had to fill out paperwork (even though I had filled it out at my last appointment), she claimed I wasn't in the system. The lash tech that did my lashes (Alena) said about 10 words to me the entire appointment, used way too much pressure, her hands were freezing cold, she was extremely rushed, and did a full set of lashes in about 90 minutes (???). There was absolutely nothing pampering or nice about my session. Needless to say, my lashes look positively awful. I wanted to cry when I saw them in the mirror. I am embarrassed by how bad these lashes look. My appointment was a training session with Alena, but she told me she had been doing lashes for months and had lost count of how many she had done. Sadly I believed her and felt I was in good hands. Was I ever wrong. Next day after my appointment I received a text asking me to rate my appointment on a scale of 1-10. I replied "0" because every minute was positively awful. I received a second text asking me to explain why I gave that score. I replied with a text listing the many things wrong with my appointment. A short while later I received a voicemail telling me that I was no longer allowed to book any further appointments. Are you kidding me? They could not pay me to come back and be treated badly and get ugly lashes - Lashes that now need to be removed and replaced ASAP by a skilled lash tech that knows what they are doing. I really appreciated that she was proud of her work and that she was willing to make it right for me. I went in yesterday to get a standard fill and although there was some mix up with the appointment, Sophie who was doing my lashes was helpful and kind. I really like the results and I want to thank Vanity again for everything!! I've been going to the Vanity Lash Lounge in Mill Creek for a while for my eyelash extensions and have had great experiences there, the lash technicians were always attentive to what I wanted which is what I appreciated, and I always loved how my lashes turned out there. Since this Edmonds location opened, it was closer to me so I was excited to try it out expecting the similar experience. I've been going to the Edmonds location now about 3-4 times and each time I left somewhat satisfied, but always came back to give it another try since they were pretty new. I can say that since the last time I've gone, the experience was pretty mediocre overall. The lash technicians don't ask you what style you want, how you want your lashes to look, or even talk to you in general! I'm not asking to have a deep life conversation but it would be nice if they asked what your lash goals are, even if you booked classic, volume, or couture since everyone has different eye shapes and type of natural lashes! Everyone deserves a personalized experience. I feel like this place could be better if it were for more attentiveness of lash technicians, but for now I feel they just get customers in and out and don't really form a bond with customers, which is fine if that's how the business runs. I live in Snohomish and let's just say I drive all the way to Edmonds to get waxed by Jamie. I stayed a loyal customer because Jamie makes waxing as comfortable as it can be! I came here briefly in between lash ladies. My previous lash lady had a baby and closed. This place was a tough transition for me, after seeing someone consistently for 4 years. I found that the work varies and is inconsistent. To be fair I started coming here a little bit after they opened so the ladies schedules were all over the place, I know a lot of the girls were bouncing between locations. I found that I would really enjoy a girl and then she'd leave within a month or so. So that lead to having to try different people which was fine I just wanted my lashes done. There's one particular appointment that completely turned me off from this place. So I went in for an appointment with someone new because it was a convenient time for me, and at this point no one really had a regular schedule. I had already been going there a couple months. Right off the bat this girl was extremely pushy, she was telling me about everything I needed to buy before I even laid down. She was going on about how damaged my eyelashes were and whoever did them before did horrible (they were previously done by someone who worked there). She started opening cleansers and brushes and using them on me. She told me she wasn't able to fill them enough so she'd do her best. I laid on that thing trying so hard not to cry, she made me feel awful and gross.I've never ever had a complaint. They were okay when she was done, they looked like I was a week in. She encouraged me to book with her again the next day, she wanted me to do it in front of her to make sure the appointment was with her. I said I'd do it when I got home.. obviously I didn't, I made sure I got her name to avoid her. At the end I went to pay and it was almost $130 more on top of the lash fill price which is already on the pricier end. I was charged for all the things she opened and used on me... she never even told me that. I was so irritated and upset I paid and left, I even tipped like I had great service (I'm still mad I did this). I went back one more time after this experience, and told the different lash lady what happened and She felt bad and said the girl was known for this. Awesome.. I feel bad for everyone else who has endured that. So lame. Also, the other thing that got me was how much they talk about the owner and how annoying it is to work for someone like that. Not the most relaxing lash talk. Needless to say I don't care how close this place is to my house, it's a no for me. I'd rather give my money and my time to someone who's running their own business. There are soo many better lash artists out there. The building is cute and always smelled great and was convenient. No one was outwardly rude, but maybe a little passive aggressive. But man that experience. I only would recommend if you're in a pinch and need your lashes done ASAP. Otherwise I wouldn't make this place your go to spot, there's so many other lash artists that are willing to provide you with so much more. Now I'm OBSESSED with my new lash lady. Wow!! I am SO excited to have found this place! I went to the Edmonds location. There is on street parking available, but if you can't find a place to park there they do have parking behind the building. I had a 5-star experience from beginning to end. The receptionist, Nichole, although it was her first day, was already knowledgeable about the services provided and she was wonderful to chat with while waiting for my esthetician (I was pretty early for my appt). Jamie did my chemical peel and mini facial, which included a fabulous massage of my face and hands. She really listened to my skin goals and I am excited to see how this peel works! She also mentioned how happy she was at her job, how she admired the owners (one of them is a master esthetician who as she put it is a total rock star!) so I am excited to meet her at a future visit, which is already scheduled for this coming Thursday!!
