To all who do not know, this business folded because something happened with Bladen's health. He was someone I only knew as a very sweet and smart young guy who would service my and my boyfriend's computers. He not only did a great job, but was really kind and reasonable too. Back in maybe 2017 was probably around the time we met him. We only needed help about every 2 years or so. Fast forward to 2020 and none of my phone numbers worked for him. He did seem to have an issue remaining in one place, I wasn't sure why they moved a lot. But I digress. I think once I couldn't get a hold of him, I tried researching here online for new company contact information, only to discover that there were newer negative reviews about him/the company not being reachable. There was a brief time you can see the responses here on you tube from this company explaining how Bladen was experiencing a health issue in the hospital. So we had to go with a different computer repair place, but Bladen's absence hung on my like a wet blanket, and I really wanted to know what may have happened to him. There isn't a whole lot more I can figure out except for that when I looked him up by his name today, I found out there is an obituary for him for his passing in 2023. That's already 2 years ago. I do remember that when I was using Instagram a lot during the pandemic lockdown, that his account popped up on my feed unexpectedly, and it was pretty much him walking through a protest occurring at that time. Besides that though, I hadn't really seen any sign of his existence between this times and it really is a terribly sad thing to find out that he passed away. I don't usually want to find out what happened to someone who serviced my family, but it really bugged me in this case. I do hope info is kept up somewhere here as a means to let people know that he did good work prior to whatever health issue this was that he dealt with. read more

Vanguard serviced my computer and set me up with Microsoft office that requires a license key every few months. Initially I would call Brendon and he would update my subscription remotely. I'm no longer able to get in contact with Vanguard. They don't pick up the phone and won't return calls. I paid for a service and now I'm no longer able to use what I paid for. Not cool Vanguard. Love these guys! Seriously the nicest dudes you'll ever meet, especially in computer repairs(I asked around and didn't get the best customer service.) Bladen and Zack are straightforward, friendly, and helpful. I had an issue with my laptop battery port, and after shopping around I landed on these two. If you go to their office, it's in a small building that I'm guessing they rent out, and there they have you fill out a form, drop off your computer/laptop and after a day or two they'll call you back to update you. I appreciated how before I left my laptop they explained what could be wrong, and how they'd fix it. They updated my drivers for me, and had my laptop back to me in no time at all. They were professional. Support local businesses! Geek Squad at Best Buy wanted to charge me for ridiculous, and unnecessary services. I brought in my MacBook Pro 2016 in hopes of a 2 week keyboard replacement but turned out it to become a 3 month nightmare. At first my A and 1 key weren't working. After around 3 weeks, Bladen said he finished the repair but when I arrived at his house, he wasn't there to meet me. He promised us multiple appointment where he never showed up. We finally had to pick up the keyboard at his office and he wasn't even present:The person sharing the office space had to open the door for us. The keyboard we picked up was put it in a GARBAGE BAG with the charger. The keyboard was in worse condition than when we brought it in: indented, and NONE of the keys were working. Bladen is unprofessional, untrustworthy, and unreliable. It was hard to get into contact with him and more than 50 percent of time, he did not respond to my text messages until I called him. read more

The company is very professional and get the work done very quick. I accidentally broke my MacBook Air screen, and Apple wants to charge me $800 for replacing the screen. However when I took it to Vanguard they just charged me less than half of that price! And they got it done very quick, I was able to get back my laptop in couple days. So I don't really use my Yelp much but I found these guys thanks to Yelp so I'm gonna share my thoughts. (sorry for the length lol) I finally saved up enough to make my dream computer that can handle any game I'd want to throw at it. I got all the parts and spent the night building away. In the end when it was time to start it my "BABY" she wouldn't start. I googled away to see what could be the problem but I was honestly lost and didn't know where to start. So I yelped some PC repair near me and found Vangarud IT Solutions. Called their number early the next morning and got in contact with Bladen. I told him my problem and he had me bring it in that same day. When I was on my way there honestly, I felt super nervous leaving my computer that I just spent alot of $$$$ on in someone else's hands. But when I got there and explained the situation, Bladen was very professional and had me feeling confident that the issue would be handled. I left him my PC and he did well to keep me updated on the status of my PC. I ended up having some bad parts that came in and had to get them replaced, After I got him the replaced parts he had it ready for me pretty quickly. This place is very professional and gets work done in an orderly and timely fashion. Usually takes about a day to a week at most to fix certain issues from troubleshooting, installing new OS, installing new programs, to providing onsite work as well. Price is reasonable enough depending on the type of issue. Had a computer that locked me out, and they were able to manage to get through the system and reset password and install Malwarebytes (virus scan/protection) and Team Viewer (a program that allows them to help me and see what is the problem with my computer, from their computer). So if i still face an issue with the software, later on, I won't have to go back unless it ends up being a hardware issue. Overall great experience, fast and efficient work completed without delay, reliable, and would definitely come back again. read more

Went in after doing a Google search which had pretty good reviews, and since they were close by so I decided to stop in. My laptop had just stopped working. Alex was the one helping me. Dropped it off Friday afternoon. I was told I would get it back before school on Monday but didn't get it back until Tuesday evening. I get a call on Monday saying that my laptop cannot be fixed and that the motherboard went out. He offered to sell me their loaner laptop, which happened to be the same exact 8 year old laptop that I had for $120. Since I was in a bind, I said yes. Alex assured me everything would be on my laptop when I picked it up. I assumed that meant everything. I know very little about computers. He should have explained a little bit better that all of my software would not be on there, my antivirus software would not be on there. My very important school softare would not be on there. I feel like I was lied to. So when I arrived on Tuesday to pick up I wanted to make sure it had everything, but come to find out nothing was on my computer. If Alex would have told me I was going to get an empty computer back I wouldn't have paid $120 for an old worthless laptop. So when I checked that all my files weren't on there he said he must have forgotten them, that somehow they didin't get transferred. Me and my daughter sat in there for about maybe half hour while he did this and when he was done he told me he went above and beyond for me. No. You did what I paid you for. Don't act like you did me a favor. So now I'm left with this worthless thing. The battery does not last more than 20 minutes, the headphone jack is broken and it's basically going to go in the trash. Over the phone he offered to add Microsoft word for $20, which I declined. When I was there he bumped the price up to $40. And then he had the nerve to ask me to leave him a good review. Ha! The logic board on my macbook pro went out so I was looking for a place to replace it . A google search later, i'm emailing Vanguard with questions about services after their posted hours. Not 2 min go by when I got an email from Bladen (Not sure on the spelling) telling me that they do the repair i'm looking for and that he would call me the next day. A few days later, I drop the computer off. After some diagnostic work, they call me up with options and we go from there. A week later, I've got my machine back. Vanguard was by far the best decision I've made. Walked with my Macbook Pro with a messed up battery and with tons of problems that made my computer run slow. our family had our laptops fixed here a while back. the laptops were having issues again so I took it to a coworker recently who is good at fixing computers. upon opening, I was told that the parts were not replaced with new parts when I got it fixed originally at Vanguard solutions. Essentially Bladen tampered with it and got my laptop up and running. I was also charged a hefty fee for all 3 computers/laptops that I originally got fixed there. Bladen is a conman. His way of getting you with his customer service skills can trick anyone. Plus a bunch of the workers seem to be students who do not want to be working there. Must not be paying them or some other reason because he seems to have great skills at talking into people to do stuff. Look elsewhere for your computer fixtures! read more

Took my laptop, that wasn't picking up wi-fi, to Bladen at 10am. He called me 90 minutes later and told me it was the wi-fi card and found a replacement in the City of Industry. He was ready to go get the part. Can't say enough about the speed and customer service from Bladen. I had a little trouble about the voucher deal that Yelp offered. My laptop fan was broken. I open the back and found out that the connector broke off from the motherboard. I asked him if he could fix it. He said it'll be hard to fix and if I wanted to try. I can't completely blame him because as a consumer I believe we have to look out for ourselves. I also work in service industry, and I also believe that an ethical service provider give good service and look out for clients. I should have just walked out, but I decided to let him try soldering it back onto the board even though he told me that it is difficult, and he didn't look confident in the ability of fixing it. So that was my decision. However, I am a client and he is supposedly an expert. A client relies on an expert in their professional opinion. I've turned away or pointed clients to the right direction when I felt like I couldn't helped them effectively, and I certainly have never asked for payment when I wasn't able to help my clients successfully. After he tried unsuccessfully to solder it with me as his assistance, he asked if $20 was a fair price. At the time, I was caught off guard, and didn't want to fight so I handed him $20 and left. I took my computer to another computer repair shop with a real microsoldering technician who told me that they can try to fix it. If it is not fixed, I don't have to pay. They diagnosed the computer without charging me, and told me that the previous attempt to solder it had damaged the motherboard. Had it not been damaged, it would just cost me around $35. So now I have to pay $150 to fix it. Again, I'm not blaming him completely because I decided to let him work on it. However, I also expect and rely on an "expert" opinion to point me to the right direction. If he doesn't know, I would be satisfied with.. I don't know how to help you, and I don't know who to refer you, instead of accept the work without the expertise In fixing the issue. And ask for payment without successful resolution of the issue. read more
