I was recommended this place by my therapist and got approved for a Chevy bolt under my sisters name. My salesman was Darek and Sales manager Daniel. They initially worked with us. Then Darek followed me to my sisters house for her to sign the agreement. But he put so much duress on my sister because wasn't giving her time to read by having her just sign and initials and taking the papers out her hand. Then had her take an selfie of herself and the license which I thought was weird because I never seen that happen before and called me to take a picture of the house. We haven't received our copy of the contracts and agreement an it's been 48 days since the purchase. I have asked numerous of times and kept get met we mailed them to you. Speaking of mailing it to us our plates was delayed because they put the wrong address when we clearly made sure on the dmv to put her current address and the salesperson was there too. Secondly, I went to Chevy dealership on August 5th after my light came on. I was told that my warranty wouldn't cover it because of outside influence and was told that not blaming but who ever had the car before me put after market parts on it, cut the wires, and the sensor wasn't connected and also sent me pictures. I bought back to cdjr on August 7th and spoke with Josh and then Daniel the sales manager. Daniel proceeded to accuse me of running over a speed bump, ran into something in between July 5th and August 5th because they do inspection and we don't put aftermarket parts on it. And pressured me into agreeing to pay $1000 of the $3500 for the parts because they calling it "good faith" as in other words I feel we not taking accountability for this it's on you. But we meet you some way. So I felt gaslit and blamed and no accountability. So on August 9th I called back the Chevy dealership service rep that was helping me and reaffirmed what he told me and in his opinion it wasn't caused by a speed bump or hitting something. Even said it could've been an accident where a mechanic could've accidentally cut it while fixing it because everyone don't know how to work on EV cars. I went back on August 11th to cdlr and spoke with Daniel the sales manager and he proceeded to retract and gaslight me by saying he never said I ran over and speed bump or hit something. So yeah I already paid the $1000 and don't even trust to be the middle person of getting my car fixed. Knowing they gave me a copy of my protection plan that states it should be covered for free if I get it done at the dealership I bought it from. Then says I violated the contract that never got copies of because the tint wasn't done when the contract was executed and didn't know there was an bill of sales to bring it back in when the sales person Darek was rushing out door so rushing my sister to sign. Service department takes advantage of women. Had my wife take her 3 year old Jeep with a dead battery and check engine light on. Thinking the leased wrangler was still under warranty and they would replace it under warranty. Long story short, she did not know the difference between a basic (expired 2 months ago) and powertrain warranty. The dealer ended up charging her $325 to just to tell us the battery needed to be replaced. If we decided to have them change it they would wave the service fee and charge us $610 (complete rip-off) to change the battery. It's a scam and they target women who don't understand car lingo. I really thought I wouldn't have to pile on here but alas, they continue to disappoint. I bought a used Jeep Compass from the used car lot and added it to my insurance at the end of April 2025. About 2 weeks later I get a notice of a claim against the car from back in Sept 2024. No record of an accident on the Carfax and coincidentally the Carfax I received had inaccurate reporting as far as the car's mileage (it was way under). Also suspicious that the accident report was filed a few weeks after I added it to my policy (not when the dealership owned the car). Resolved it with my insurance (I wasn't the owner) but contacted my sales agent - NO RESPONSE. Early July I get the same claim from the other car in the accident's insurance asking me to pay up. This time, after resolving it again, I contacted the used car lot directly. Lots of hold time and getting hung up on three times until I reach someone who was going to get me an answer as to what happened "in a couple hours", then "tomorrow", then "by end of week" until, after about a week, he STOPPED RESPONDING. Cut to me contacting the ever popular general manager listed so many times on their bad Yelp reviews, Jonathan Schwartz. At first, very helpful, sympathetic, I'm going to get to the bottom of it. He asked me for my insurance adjuster's name which I tracked down. He was getting into it with his DMV team, he didn't think it was a big deal, the Carfax is still clean, blah blah blah. It is now about 6 weeks since I first contacted him and guess what, HE STOPPED RESPONDING. I also asked how I can get a second key for the car - NOTHING. I don't think I'm being difficult in asking why I was sold a car with an undisclosed accident WHILE THE DEALERSHIP OWNED THE CAR and given an inaccurate Carfax - twice (the second one still had the wrong mileage). We have a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country van and, while it is an older vehicle, it has less than 60k miles on it. We took it in because the ABS brake system alert kept coming on and the brake pedal would lock up and there was a grinding noise occasionally. We were told that a hub bearing needed to be replaced but the brakes themselves were fine. We paid about $1300 for that repair. When we picked the van up, the exact same issue occurred within ten minutes of driving it. We contacted our service advisor (Eddie) and he told us to bring it back which we did. Then he called to say that the first repair was the first step in a three step process but that the parts for steps two and three were discontinued. He claimed that he had told us this originally but that was a lie. We paid $1300 only to have the same issue. Then, to top it all off, when we went to pick the van up, the service representative there (Jose) was extremely rude. It was the end of the work day and he was alone, so we tried to cut him some slack. But when he communicated over the walkie with his co-workers, he was very short with them and threw the walkie onto the counter. I overheard the conversation which seemed to indicate that they could not find the key to our van. When I asked Jose about it, he denied it and lied to me, saying that our van was blocked in by other parked cars and they could not find the key to one of those vehicles. After waiting about 30 minutes, I asked one of the workers who was shuttling the vehicles for pick ups and he told me that they had not found the key to our van, confirming what I thought I had heard. I went back to Jose and he told me that they were closing and that he would order me an uber and I would have to come back the next morning. It was inconvenient but I had no choice. The uber driver passed me and got lost. While I was on the phone with the uber driver trying to help her find the location, Jose was outside and, at that point, I just thought it was funny and told him that I might not be able to leave by closing time because the uber driver was lost. Jose turned to me and aggressively held his hand out as if to tell me to back off and said, "I will deal with you later." I did return the next morning and no one ever gave me an explanation about what happened with the key. I did speak with the manager (Hector) about my experience with Jose and he seemed to take the matter seriously. Time will tell. I know that we will never return to this service center. read more

The sales experience was ok. Went for a vehicle from San Diego to LA. In the AM sales associate confirmed availability and I let them know I was in route only to find out when I got there it was sold. Luckily I did find something else very similar. They did go out of their way to pick up my trade in which was very kind. My issue now is getting someone on the phone at the dealership or a voicemail box that isn't full. The dealership canceled my GAP coverage when I refinanced my vehicle and the refund was sent to them. Trying to get someone on the phone has been a nightmare. Sales team seems to be the only person to answer but transfers the call to line that is never picked up and a voicemail box that is full. read more

I can't believe this place is even still in business. Never in my live, and I've lived in 3rd world countries, have I received such horrrible service. I brought my jeep in to to Payman (avoid him like the plague!) and told him that my jeep had been dying and losing power but that I had recently replaced my battery so 100% it was not a battery problem but that something was leeching the power from my battery. I asked if they could run some diagnostics to figure out what was causing this parasitic drain on my battery. Payman called me literally weeks later telling me that he needed to replace my battery and gave me some ridiculous price that it was going to cost. I was blown away and once again reiterated that I had a brand new battery and had told him that when I brought the car in. I asked if they had run any diagnostics since it had been there for over a month. They had not. My next call was weeks later when Payman called to say my Jeep was fixed and they had changed the battery. (Yes, you heard that right) He seemed very proud that he had proved me wrong and said to come pick up my jeep. When I went to pick up the jeep, Payman wasn't there (he hardly ever was) and the jeep was dead as a doornail. This dance went on for nearly 4 months, interspersed with constant calls to upsell me on services for my jeep that i did not want and did not need. When I finally did get them to run the diagnostics, by losing my shit, they found the problem within days and called to tell me the cost and to pick up my jeep. When I arrived, Payman lied to my face saying that he had told me of a charge of several hundred dollars above what he had quoted me and refused to give me my keys unless I paid his pure extortion fee. All I can say is pathetic service with dishonest used car salesmen running the show. Oh, and did I mention that they put several hundred miles on my jeep? Yeah, that too. But over the years, as one by one, other repair and service shops showed their true colors, we began moving all of our vehicles to this dealership...our FJ Cruiser and then our new Ford Bronco. And because they were so trustworthy and wonderful to work with, we bought a new Ram Truck from them. It was the easiest, most pleasant car purchase we've ever experienced in 30 years living in LA. Now they have all of our business! And yes! It does cost a little more for labor here, but we never get ripped off. We never have to worry they are recommending something we don't need. Worst dealership ever. Don't go here for any repairs. The communication from them is atrocious, Albert seems like a nice guy but I had to always call multiple times to get an answer, my car was in for a warranty issue and they didn't have loaner cars so I had to get a rental from rental car company, and they were supposed to finish my car before Thanksgiving but they didn't and so I had to take the rental on the family trip and Albert didn't even call me to tell me my car was finished on Friday and when I called on Monday to check if my car was finished, no one knew what was going on cus Albert AND the technician both had their day off so I had to call multiple times to talk to a manager who finally told me my car was ready at 5 so I had to pick up my car the next day, and I got my invoice from them and without really checking I took it and when I submitted to Stellantis to get a reimbursement they only reimbursed me until the 26th but I wasn't even notified that my car was ready. Even tho Albert told me he would call and let me know if my car was ready which he didn't now I had to cover half the rental fee cus of their own incompetence. That was in early December. Since then, the van has sat in the dealership's service department for over a month, with repair timelines constantly shifting. To add insult to injury, Chrysler issued recalls on this model, but none addressed the catastrophic issues we faced. The reality is clear: this van was patched up just enough to sell, and it should never have been put on the market. Fast forward to today: we were told it will cost us around $3,000 to fix most of the issues, and the van is effectively a lemon. This goes beyond poor luck--it's fraud. I made an appointment with the sales guy Steve at Van Nuys Dodge on Ventura Blvd who i spent three hours of my time evaluating trucks and what was available and so on. I met Steve at the dealership at the pre set appointment of 12pm August 10th 2025. After picking out the truck that I wanted and agreeing on price and discounts with two different managers who handled the sale / transaction of a purchase of a new Dodge ram RHO. I was promised that my documents my CDL and auto Insurance would hold this truck until the next day today Monday August 11th 2025. I get a call from the dealership Monday morning August 11th they informed the vehicle was sold . He stated because I didn't have a signed agreement or deposit they were contractually not obligated. I agree (they were not contractually obligated) but out of courtesy to a customer they could have called me and I would come down after my obligation on the 10th to sign papers and give them my deposit. The GM Jonathan Schultz kept leaning on "not contractually obligated" nothing was said about it was wrong how can we make it up you other than will work to find you another truck. I wanted that truck and time was critical because of work situations. Long story short, I guess it's the car business and we all know the term "car salesman". When my girlfriend got home from the dealership after driving her new Jeep home she found out that the right passenger window would not roll down all the way. After some frustrating back and forth with the dealership, the issue was resolved, which was great. However... About an hour after leaving the dealership she found a scratch (through the paint) on one of the roof panels (see photo). Once again, frustration has set in and no one at the dealership has responded to this latest issue. It seems that this team is really gung-ho about selling the cars, but they are NOT checking them thoroughly before they leave the lot or after a service call, nor do they seem to care much when problems arise IMMEDIATELY after the sale. My sales man Zaman did a great job since the beginning offering excellent customer service. The car wasn't ready when I went in to view it on my birthday but he tried everything possible to allow me see the car that day. When that fell through he offered me an appointment for a few days after but contacted me earlier than expected to tell me the car was ready. He even sent me pictures as he knew how much I wanted to see it and I gotta say that's what drove me back because I was already looking elsewhere. I had to cancel my appointment due to it being a rainy day no problem. Showed up unexpectedly after leaving work early no problem. Needless to say my man Zaman did everything he could to accommodate me. Last but not least the rest of the team treated me with respect and were able to help me acquire a better APR than what my own bank was offering. Not only that but they were extremely understanding about my concerns and made the purchase feel right. Long story short ! I bought a Vehicle which i had pre ordered because I did not want to pay their ridiculous Mark up fees ! Not only did the dealer wanted to hook me on a 10 % interest because according to them I had to many cars ! Weird how that 10% just dropped to 6% after a couple of calls. Any how now that I receive my service agreement, not only did the Guy Moe in finance tell me, I would have full 100k miles service but all parts would be covered bumper to bumper exactly his words !!!!!!! It was late, 30 min before closing so we had to run thru paper work and he never showed me the service agreement ! Service agreement shows up and not only is it not covered to 100 k miles but it also has a 200 dlls deductible and 60k miles. Sounds like forgery to me!! Called and let me put names out there: Rebeca specifically said i will call you shortly regarding this well its 5:13 pm and no calls !! Bad customer service Rebeca !! Even tho I called you at 12 and you said some one would call me before 5 .... Well 5:14 and am sitting at the dealer !! UPDATE: My car was repaired for under $700 by the mechanic that my husband takes his company vans to. Some new coils, spark plugs, and fuel injector did the job. The mechanic said he has seen this common issue in these Chrysler vans and jeeps. You would think a dealership that sells these specific cars would encounter this issue regularly and know how to repair common issues in their vehicles. Big difference from $5/6k for motor mounts and other "repairs" that weren't even going to fix my issue. Proof that this place is a SCAM!!!! Don't go here for your services or repairs unless you are under warranty still. You will be fully taken advantage of. Deceptive practices. You will be robbed blind. Zero transparency or integrity. They work as a team so everyone will cover for each other. There thousand dollar diagnostic is driving it around the corner, not even over night. Payman and Armen are not trustworthy. I should've learned my lesson and went with my gut from my prior experience. Years back they damaged my bumper to my brand new vehicle and let me drive off without telling me anything. Luckily cameras captured me arriving with zero damage and picking it up with damages so they had to replace my entire bumper which was never the same and the paint has chipped off since then, as well as damaging the seal where my tail light is at so now my light gets full of water since then. I won't get into more detail but this is definitely a warning for those looking for honest, professional, and reliable service unless you want to leave paying hundreds for them to do absolutely nothing or thousands for "repairs" that won't fix your issue, and your car may be held hostage even during business hours stating they cannot release your vehicle because they have no information when they have a computer with everything they need in front of them. Stay away. Stay away. Stay away. There are plenty of reliable, honest, and professional mechanics out there you can go to. This place is NOT it. Terrible. It used to be where you could bring your car to the dealership and trust that your getting the best, reliable, cost efficient work done. However, that is not the same now, especially for RUSSEL WESTBROOK OF VAN NUYS. I've had my vehicle for a year and 3 months now and it's had; electrical issues that they can't comprehend or explain and unexplainable leaks. Mind you, the car is only used to drive to and from work. As you can see from the pictures they quoted me $1,350, the warranty covered nothing. However, the car did apparently have another leak that the manufacturer's warranty did cover. They fixed that, my only problem with that is they didn't tell me it had this leak until I started calling to see why I couldn't pick my car up. They ended up charging me $250 for the diagnostic. I took my car to PACIFIC MOTOR CENTER IN north Hollywood for a 2nd opinion. They took care of the car, didn't overcharge for the parts or the labor. They were very direct, prompt, professional and intelligible! My car has been running smooth ever since and I wasn't ripped off! My new go to mechanic! read more

if I could leave zero stars, I would. I leased a jeep 2022 4XE. it has been nothing but problems. I have had to take it in three times for violent shaking. Last time they even charged me for a alignment. I've also had three safety recalls. last time my car was violently shaking on the freeway and I had a safety recall and they couldn't get me to fix it for three months. this time I am told there's a safety recall and that the battery is not able to be charged and I shouldn't park my car near other vehicles or other structures. there is no fix for this and they are unwilling to do anything to help me out to give me a vehicle that is safe to drive. I'm told that I can go pay for a rental car on my own and then try to get reimbursement which they can't even guarantee that they can give me. I hope people will read this warning. Do not buy a jeep or any vehicle that these people are selling if something goes wrong, they will not help you at all. The pictures are false advertisement, and even after asking if there was any scratches/dents/damage to the vehicle I was interested in, I was assured it was in excellent condition. So, my husband and I drove over two hours to the dealership where they tried to rush us into the paperwork before seeing the vehicle. I asked to see the car first, and immediately saw scratches all over, when you opened the door there was damage done to both middle seats. None of this was disclosed in the listing photos/description or even when messaging back and forth with a sales associate. There are no complaints about the car itself in terms of matrix, this car has saved me more than once for living conditions, I recommend the Dodge Challenger SXT. At the moment, a complaint is against the Dealer who sold the 2018 car but registered it for 2023, they gave 2 keys but one is not from my car, a scam. It is not clear with the documents, it says one, but you need to pay as for two, they cheated me with the insurance, I paid for a year, they gave me on paper for the 2nd month. For that kind of money, the interior of the car is terrible, the windshield and side windows are cheap, the tightness of the body is terrible sealant. The fuel supply pressure is constantly jumping. This is not normal for a sports car. They sold a fake for listing. read more

They pick and choose who they want to be good to and most importantly I brought my vehicle for a scheduled service recall for a 2024 vehicle and now they're telling me it's going to take two weeks because they only have1 electrical technician for whole company no rental car service . Already having multiple issues beyond the recall do not recommend electrical vehicles specially, the works are ridiculous. hearing conversations just like wow this is definitely not ran properly management gives you the runaround never responds as well as workers transfer you to calls and hang up because they know you're going to ask for a complaint. After going all the way out to Downey Champion, I ended up at Van Nuys Dodge down the street. (Champion had the cars listed for cheaper, but after a pretty lousy sales experience and then reading the reviews of THAT place, I got the hell out of there) I got a pretty good deal on my Challenger and a pretty good experience. I told a pal, and he went there to buy one 24 hours later, himself. The staff was friendly and helpful, and actually waiting outside to greet you, unlike Champion Dodge, which looked/felt like a Scooby Doo villain hideout. I have not had to deal with the service department yet, which seems to (by all accounts of online research Ive done) to be "not great," at best. But honestly, I looked around at most Dodge dealers in LA, and they all seem to be equally terrible. (Id insert a "laugh emoji" here if I could) I really want the car, they're not making them anymore after this year, so I guess I'll have to deal with it. The only minor snafu I've had is (and of course, this seems to be "LA wide," post COVID) NO ONE answers the phone here. There was a paperwork f up that sent a letter to my house saying I had to return the car, and the financing had fallen through! Pretty serious, right? I called the finance department AND the main line to the place for literally hours, and no one picked up a single time. Like, god help you if you need something. Ultimately I had to physically show up there to get it taken care of. How do you not answer the phone a single time, across the span of hours, at the (allegedly) 3rd highest selling Dodge dealership in the country? Not great, Bob. I also had a $5400 extended warranty added into my deal without telling me about it whatsoever, they never said a word about it or even asked me if I wanted it. That was kind of lame too. And finally, take a good look at your car before you drive off the lot. Within 48hrs of owning this thing, and not parking it anywhere where this could have conceivably happened, I had a big chip in the paint and two good-sized dings in my passenger door, which I'm almost *positive* were there when I bought the car. It had been sitting on a lot for probably a year at that point, and Im sure it got banged up along the way by various incidents. (By the time I noticed it, it was too late) All in all, pretty good experience, a few choppy waters aside, I'm very happy with my car. Hopefully it stays that way, lolllllll read more

I don't write too many reviews, but after what happened at this dealer I had to get this story out there for others to be careful. I brought my Dodge Durango for a warranty repair at this dealer in December 2023. After a week went by with no updates, I called just to get an update and it was like pulling teeth to get an update. I had to call 12 times over a two day period and I would get inconsistent answers each time as to why no one could give me an update. Annoying, but nothing out of the ordinary for bad dealers (which this one clearly is). I ended up opening a case with Dodge because of how long my car was down at the dealer, but the dealer continued to play games. The dealer would give Dodge misinformation about how long my repairs were taking, the status of my car, etc. The dealer would literally tell Dodge one thing that my case manager would then tell me, and then the dealer itself would tell me something completely different from what they told my case manager. The big issue here was the fact that Dodge helped expedite the shipment of parts that my car needed for repairs and despite this, the dealer still took nearly a month to complete the repair! Again, super annoying, but nothing too serious. Here is where the real kicker comes in. When I finally got my car back in early February 2024 (two months later!), my car was still having issues. Due to my experience at this dealer, I decided to go to a different dealer. This other dealer inspected my car and informed me that the Van Nuys dealer damaged my car during their repairs, did not put certain parts they removed during the repairs back in place properly, and in some areas, they did not put back the parts they had removed. OMG! The worst part is that Dodge brand told me that because the dealer damaged my car, they had to cover the repairs. When I called Van Nuys Dodge to explain the findings by the other dealership and the instructions Dodge brand gave me to bring the car back to Van Nuys, the dealer refused to give me an appointment on two separate occasions! They literally were refusing to take accountability. I had to speak with a Dodge brand supervisor and that is when this issue was finally resolved. I ended up being able to get the repairs done at the other dealership (thank goodness) and the day I went to pick up my car, my service advisor told me that they had another customer who had service done at the Van Nuys dealership and who also had their car damaged by the Van Nuys dealership. Insanity! The moral of the story is that you should avoid the Van Nuys dealership at all costs! They will damage your car and if you do not know how to fight back, they will get away with it! read more

This is the most unethical business I have ever experienced. First they do not honor car warranties. Second they increase fees to make up for warranty expenses. Furthermore, once they agree on a price they do not honor it. I found both the service representative and the service manager to be unethical and simply untrustworthy people. Horrible liars. My Jeep has front & rear Currie Dana 60 swap with lockers ($20,000 right there) Plus brand new 37 inch tires, brand new true beadlock wheels, King Shocks, front & rear AntiRock sway, upgraded control arms, new & upgraded steering, Teraflex suspension system, full Goosegear overland kitchen setup, fridge/freezer, Lowrance GPS, dual battery system, sound system, JWspeaker lights, rock lights, oh and did I mention it has a RIPP supercharger? Do you want me to keep going? You get the idea. It's a $75,000 build and they offered me 25 This guy didn't look at the jeep once. Clearly. Rude managers who just don't know the real value or their own vehicles. Shop elsewhere. Don't waste your time. Van Nuys CDJR is Trash. Came in to purchase a truck. As in, I knew what I wanted to see, and as long as it was the same truck online I was going to purchase it. Walked up to help desk, said I'd like to see a particular truck. They respond "phone number". I say no thank you, I'd just like to look at the truck. They say "well that's the process". I say we'll get into all that, but I'd like to look at the truck first. They ask for my phone number again. I say no and leave as they laugh about it. 3 guys just sitting behind a desk laugh at a customer leaving who was about to spend $45k on a new truck. Amazing. They're also still adding $4k markups on their trucks. Just another shady pack of scumbags disguised as a car dealer.
