I leased two Kia K4's from this dealership back in 2025. I opted-in for the tire extended warranties because I didn't want to worry about paying for new tires should something happen. Fast forward, I am in need of using my warranty... only to find out that it WAS NEVER ACTIVATED--although I asked for confirmations that all warranties and pre-paid packages were good to go before I left. It has been TWO WEEKS since trying to get a hold of someone in the Finance Department to get the issue fixed. I have called the department multiple times, but the phone rings until I get the message that the voicemail is full. I have called other departments to ask about anyone being available (over at finance), only to be thrown into endless loops of transferring from department to department, and only to end up back on the "mailbox is full" message at the Finance Department. I was even given different emails I could reach out to, only to receive error messages because the email accounts are none-existent or cannot receive incoming emails. The level of miscommunication and frustration has been too much. On July 21, I finally asked to speak to any manager that can help me with the issue. I was connected to Christopher Rodriguez--the Sales Manager. Christopher heard me out and then asked me to forward him the vehicle's information so that he can forward it to the Finance Department. Great! Only..... Nothing came from that. I asked Christopher to reply back to my email so I can verify that he received my request (and so that I know it's a working email accounts). He replied with, "Received" and gave me the expectation that the issue would be resolved and that I would receive an update soon. Well, "soon" has turned into what feels like endless waiting with no updates. I've reached out to Christopher, asking for an update or if he could point me into a different direction, on July 23rd and then again today, August 7th. Still, nothing. To any future buyer, please beware. Be sure to received print outs with confirmations ahead of time so you do not have to go through this endless cycle of being transferred from department to department, receive false and inaccurate expectations, and most importantly, NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SERVICES YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE because someone dropped the ball. Kia of Van Nuys, you need to do better. Just because you've closed the deal, that doesn't mean you're "done" with dealing with the customers. You need to do what's right for the customer and correct the mistakes. I understand people are human and we will make mistakes. The issue lies in the lack of communication and unprofessionalism. I will NEVER buy from this dealer again and will stop recommending people. Although my sales person was great, this experience has honestly tainted my view of the entire establishment and has tarnished my experience with the brand itself. Before Kia of Van Nuys, I had leased two Kia's from the Kia of Cerritos. I have NEVER experienced something like this there. I regret coming to this dealer and had only went to Kia of Van Nuys out of convenience (I lived in the area at the time). I was informed that the dealer (where the vehicles were leased/purchased) were the only ones who could activate the warranties for me. Otherwise, I would've already gone to Kia of Cerritos to have the issue resolved. Buyers Beware!

Excellent job rayan saab and the gentlemen who delivered this beautiful suv to me. I like this dealer. I got the deal I want, very straight forward, simply, no back n forth no add on. Just made the deal. I don't even need to present to the dealership because I lived far away, they deliver the car to half way to me. Love love love. The Price, the car itself, so happy with everything. Called them on the noon 4-5hrs later Car is at my garage.

Undisclosed frame damage caught by independent inspector. The unprofessionalism was the warning sign I ignored. Sharing my experience to warn future buyers, especially anyone shopping remotely. I was pursuing a 2023 Lexus ES 300h listed on their lot -- clean CARFAX, clean AutoCheck, one-owner lease return, priced attractively after multiple drops over 40+ days. On paper, a strong deal. I'm based in the Bay Area (~350 miles away), so I coordinated a full remote workflow: independent pre-purchase inspection, refundable deposit, credit union financing. I scheduled a mobile mechanic to inspect at their lot at a specific time and confirmed the appointment with both my salesperson and the dealership's main line the day before. The warning signs I ignored: Throughout the negotiation, my salesperson was unresponsive to a significant portion of my texts. Follow-ups went unanswered. I often had to send a second message to get any response. Callback timelines slipped without explanation. On the phone, the tone felt casual and unprofessional -- not what I'd expect from someone handling a $35,000 transaction. I brushed all of this off because the car looked like a good deal. That was my mistake. How a dealership communicates during a negotiation is a direct preview of how they operate as a business. I ignored the signal, and it nearly cost me. What happened on inspection day: 1. The dealership had no record of the appointment. My mechanic was given the runaround for 20+ minutes. Nobody knew he was coming. Nobody knew who I was. The two staff contacts my salesperson had specifically told me would be present were not even at the dealership that day. The car wasn't pulled up. No one could locate the keys. I had confirmed this appointment in writing through two separate channels the day before. 2. The car had undisclosed frame damage. Once my mechanic finally got access to the vehicle, he found frame damage. Not on the CARFAX. Not on the AutoCheck. Not disclosed anywhere in the listing. When he raised this directly with staff and asked how they could sell a car in that condition, they immediately agreed the car would not be sold retail -- they said they'd wholesale it out to auction instead. 3. The response confirmed prior knowledge. A legitimate dealership with a clean car doesn't respond to a frame-damage finding by instantly capitulating and pulling the listing. They dispute, they get a second opinion, they push back. This dealership pulled the listing within hours. That timing tells me what they knew. 4. My mechanic told me he has now saved multiple clients from purchasing vehicles from this specific dealership for other undisclosed issues. This is not a one-off. It's a pattern. Before the inspection, when I said I'd still do an independent PPI, I was told the car had already been "thoroughly inspected" by their team and I was welcome to inspect it anyway. Two independent inspections came to very different conclusions than theirs did. My recommendation to future buyers: * Pay attention to how the dealership communicates during negotiation. Unanswered texts, dropped callbacks, and lack of coordination aren't neutral behaviors -- they're a preview of how they handle everything else, including what they disclose about the cars they sell. If they can't respond to your texts consistently during a negotiation where they stand to make thousands of dollars, that tells you exactly how much attention they paid to inspecting the car. * Do not rely on the dealership's inspection. Always insist on an independent PPI from a mechanic you choose. * A clean CARFAX does not mean a clean car. Structural damage is routinely underreported. * If a car has sat on the lot for a suspiciously long time at a suspiciously good price, there's usually a reason. My guess is other local buyers already inspected and walked. I was the remote buyer who was supposed to bite because I couldn't inspect in person. I don't know if my salesperson individually knew about the frame damage. But the dealership as an operation clearly knew or should have known, and the instant decision to wholesale rather than dispute the finding says everything. I'm grateful I spent the money on an independent inspection. I encourage every future buyer to do the same -- and to think hard about whether a dealership that can't return your texts is one you actually want handling a $35,000 transaction.

Car was dropped off at 7am for a road hazard tire issue. Not only did it take 12 hours to install a tire, I was charged $325 even though the tire was covered under a 1 year warranty . I've only had the car 6 months ! I'll be going to corporate on this , as they refused to sell me road hazard coverage on the NEW tire ! Unacceptable!!

Purchased a new 2026 Kia Carnival EX Hybrid from Kia Van Nuys on May 2, 2026. At delivery, I was told the second key would be mailed to me because the service department had already closed for the night. I was also promised a full set of all-weather floor mats as part of the purchase agreement. More than 11 days later, I still have not received either item. I have made multiple attempts to contact the salesperson and dealership, but have received little to no meaningful response or follow-up. Very disappointed with the post-sale customer service and communication.

$330 labor for a battery replacement!

I was charged $792 for a battery replacement on a 2023 Kia soul! Picture this: 1. Took the car to Kia Van Nuys because the collision alarm light would turn on while driving and the car would not respond once it was stopped. Picture and video were shown to the manager-Greg. 2. The car was dropped off on Wednesday and we were told to call Monday to check on it. It was Greg's day off and I couldn't reach anyone with update that day. 3. On the 11th, I was told the car was ready and that it was driven for 15min but no issue was detected. I picked up the car and nothing was done. 4. The very same day the car was picked it was giving the same issue and so I took the car in again, I believe on a Saturday. Greg the manager mentioned to call back Monday. Again, his day off! 5. On Tuesday we got a call from Greg saying it looks like it's a battery issue and that the total cost would be $450. Being that the car is under warranty I did not want to do it myself so I had to accept. 6. On Wednesday, me and Greg had a heated exchange over the phone since it was the second time the car was there, the second time he says to call on his day off and the fact that it's really weird that now it's a battery issue. Keep in mind the car was there a week before and no battery issue was brought up, never had any weak battery signs but that's on what Greg is focusing. 7. Saturday, the car is ready and I and get charged $792!!!! That is $400 for battery and $330 for the labor on the battery item (itemized in their bill). So not $450 like Greg said it would be, but almost $800 for a battery change.  The other issue under warranty, no mention on the itemized bill... 8. After this, I called Kia Ventura and Kia van nuys to get an estimate for a Kia soul battery replacement. Parts and labor: Ventura: $295+$50 Van nuys: $350+$50  9. I also called another shop asking about the sensor issue to what they mention the following: You might have a dirty sensor.... Wash the car and disconnect the battery to eliminate errors. 10. I was upcharged an absurd amount by Kia but I was offered a complimentary car wash! So the car was washed and the battery replaced. Was the battery replacement necessary? I don't believe so. Never had any issue related to the battery and because the car was washed and the battery replaced, then the car errors related to the sensor that now was clean from the car wash, were eliminated. 11. Greg gave me an estimate above the normal and then charged me almost double of that amount for a battery replacement that was not necessary except to make sales! I was robbed at Kia van nuys service!

I was struggling to pay the parking meter when Manar Ali, a salesperson, came to talk to me. We started talking && never have I felt so comfortable. The easiest experience where the entire team at Van Nuys (special shoutout to the GM, Arnold) made it possible for me to get the car I wanted on my terms. Thank you for making the entire process enjoyable :) Russell, enjoy the empanadas!

wish I could give zero stars. Do not bring your car here if you care about it -- especially if you've already prepaid. My car was barely used, yet it feels like they didn't even bother to change the oil. The oil was still dark, which makes it obvious nothing was done. On top of that, the package I paid for included a tire rotation, and they didn't do that either. So what exactly did I pay for? This is careless, dishonest, and completely unprofessional. You're charging people for services you're not even performing. I will not be coming back, and I strongly recommend others stay away.

Amazing customer service from both the sales department as well as their service center. I've been driving a Kia for almost 5 years now and this is my go to location to upgrade my vehicle as well as get it serviced. Safe to say I'll be a Kia customer for a long time!

The purchase was made on October 26, 2019 for a 2006 Porsche 911s with 17874 miles. I saw the listing on the website and since I live in Northern California. I wanted to get as much information from the dealership as possible prior to committing to such an expensive purchase of this vehicle. Randy assured me that he was a Porsche specialist. After my interactions and poor customer service. I have concluded that he is a used car salesman. We negotiated an agreed on a price prior to me committing to travel down to Southern California to see and test drive the vehicle. My goal was to drive the vehicle back if everything checks out. During our discussions and negotiating sessions. I made it clear that I would be traveling to Sherman Oaks area by plane and would be returning home driving the vehicle. This was to ensure that his staff would double and triple check the vehicle for any obvious issues for the journey back home. Randy assured me that the vehicle was in excellent condition and I should not have any problems driving back to the Bay Area. I flew down to Southern Cal on Saturday and took an Uber to the dealership. I met with Randy and started inspecting the vehicle. I pointed out a few things to Randy that I noticed regarding the Porsche. Like most used car salesmen, he had an answer for everything. There were several issues I pointed out. Stone Guard film has black fingerprints on it, the rear lights are off alignment, there are 20% tint on all the windows including the windshield, California law is 70% to be legal. Randy explained that the guard film was an easy fix, the light was a simple adjustment and he didn't have staff in on Saturday to remove the tint from the windows and repair the other issues. He assured me that this was minor and would be resolved at a later date. This concerned me, so I asked again if the car had been double-checked for minor issues prior to me purchasing the car. He again assured me that the car had been checked and everything was fine for me to drive back. I took Randy at his word that the vehicle had been checked and proceeded to complete my paperwork, pay an additional $50 for a specialty plate. After completing the purchase of the car. I went to a nearby gas station to fill-up for the trip home. The Porsche would not restart as I turned the key. Nothing! I kept trying and trying and finally heard a click and got the car started. I drove directly back to the dealership and told Randy about the starting issue. He starts messing around and told me that this is a common problem and easy to be fixed. Unfortunately, there is no staff around and he cannot get it done until Monday. He assures me that I will have no problem driving back just as long as I don't turn off the engine if I need to purchase additional gas just to be sure. The following is what I have learned about the vehicle after taking to a reputable company to inspect it. Sport Trend Auto is considered a Carfax advantage dealer and it is protected with a Carfax buy-back guarantee. This means absolutely nothing since the Carfax buy back is only for the person/company that paid for the Carfax and since the dealership provided you with one, you are not protected. In addition, you are only protected 90 days, and reporting to Carfax could take as long as 2 years. The vehicle was a repo as evidence shown. Therefore, the issue with the vehicle starts is not from the part that Randy claimed to be a known issue. It was diagnosed by Porsche dealer as the key fob. The one key that randy gave me to the car was a clone from an aftermarket source, not an OEM key as the chip was cloned. A clip was also missing from the key fob thus making the key loose and difficult to push in. The Porsche was also used for track racing, there were extensive minutes in zone 5 under the VAL report. VAL report is what Porsche used to determine if there are excessive over-rev of the engine thus will void any warranty under the service agreement outline. There are signs of modified suspension and body damages along the side skirts, the engine cover was replaced as photo shown. Many parts of the vehicle been resprayed. Bondo were discovered along the side near to the wheel wells. Both side mirrors have been resprayed and damages to the left door were evidence since many parts within the door shown from aging and not from a vehicle that has 17874 miles. Possibly is a junkyard door panel replacement since the side mirror control unit needed to be replaced along with the window track. The stone guard cannot be pulled out because it was installed before the re-paint was set, evidence shown that the whole rear has body damages which are not reported to Carfax. There were 2 layers of window tints and both needed to be removed to meet compliance
