    My holiday season just got kicked off with a new car in the family. We just leased a new Subaru Cross Trek with leather seats and moon roof. It's our seventh Subaru, and I'm writing this review sitting in it, reveling in the leather seats while Gabe connects my hubby's phone. A huge shout out to Gabe Lopez, Sales, Jaime Calzada, Sales Manager, and Paul Gacitua, Finance, for their years of excellent service as we walk through our lives with our Subarus. We've known Jaime for eight years and Gabe for three. We've known Paul awhile too. They all take the time to make buying and leasing a new car easy and fun. Gabe took a lot of time getting the technology set up for us. Thanks, Gabe! Dual climate! Yeah! Lovin' this new Cross Trek! No more bickering over heat and air. I highly recommend Subaru Sherman Oaks for superb service and customer care. Friendly, patient, and efficient, you'll have a great experience here.

    My new car

    I was having such a hard time at dealerships looking for a new car as young woman. A lot of the car salesman I had met up until this point were very condescending towards me. So when I went to Subaru Sherman Oaks and Avi helped me it was a night and day difference. He made me feel so calm when car buying is actually a very stressful. I am so happy with the car I ended up with a 2026 Subaru Forrester

    I bought a 2022 certified preowned WRX on 12/27/25 with 20k miles on it.. right away I noticed a sound from the engine area like a rubbing sound and one of my USB ports was loose and the suspension squeaked .. i dropped my car off Feb 4th.. I had a hard time getting a hold of them. I kept getting sent to voicemail. I would send them a text and they would not respond. Played cat and mouse for a couple days. . Long story short they had my car until February 12.. They called me to go pick it up.. When I got there, they made me pay $100 deductible to use my extended warranty.. mind you the car has 20,000 miles on it. It should be under the manufacturers warranty still.. not only that I just bought it a month ago how did it pass certified preowned inspection with all the problems that it has (see the attached pictures for what they found wrong with it). yes, I called Subaru America and there's an open case for an investigation on it... but this is the best part of it all when I got there to pick up my car , at first they couldn't find it.. then proceeded to tell me that my car was parked down at the Van Nuys courthouse and that that was their "overflow" parking 2-3 miles away.. i call B.S. now I'm still trying to get my $100 dollars back and I keep getting sent to Voicemail and dodged. AND.. they didn't even repair the speakers or the port .. they're on order supposedly..

    Finally!!! This is the place to get Service . You got go check out Tyler in the Service Dept. he's the Best . I went last minute to get my Daughter for her 2015 Forester an Oil Change and Tyler took excellent care of me and also advise me a few things consider down the road and made my service so easy . I like when someone is straight up and I think everyone else does too ! But yeah I was in and out super nice location and made me feel like a Value Customer not like a number . Respect to Tyler and the whole Subaru Team at Sherman Oaks I will definitely be back . They took my car at 5:15pm Service closes at 6pm that just goes to show you the level of Customer Service they provide anywhere else would have said comeback tomorrow but not them .     Gerardo was such an amazing sales associate ! It was one of the most easiest car buying experience ever! Straight to the point, easy sales purchase, got us to a good price with discounts and he will forever be my guy when buying our next subaru. Paul from the finance department was also amazing and easy to work with. He did not try to upsell us on anything and explained everything professionally and with transparency!

    Look at the scratches on ALL 4 rims!

    I am upset with their service. I got an oil change and tire roation done. When I got my car back the rims were scratched. I reached out to the manager and he said it wasn't their fault. The scratched he's are right around where the lug nuts are located! It looked like they missed the opening and kept hitting the rims itself. I only want it repaired and nothing more. This is absolutely terrible care & service.

    Express service ? I don't think so... had an appointment waited over an hour to even have anyone help me. Very disappointed in Subaru!

    I need some touch-up paint. I've searched the vehicle high and low for the color code but no luck. I called Subaru customer service with the VIN number, but they wouldn't give me the code or the color name. This can't be that hard. Please advise?

After reviewing everything, I feel like I was heavily upsold on services and parts that either weren't urgently needed or could have been done at a much more reasonable price elsewhere. For example, my vehicle wasn't even due for an oil change yet based on my mileage history. I actually wanted to see if they would be honest about it, but instead I was still sold the service. What really bothered me is that the business promotes honesty and transparency, but my experience felt like the opposite. I didn't feel properly informed or given options -- just pressured into agreeing to expensive add-ons. If you have money to blow, then by all means go to this shop. I originally checked Google reviews and saw mostly positive feedback, which is why I chose this place. But after my experience, I went on Yelp and found multiple reviews describing very similar situations to mine. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any services here. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

I started having some very common water pump and vacuum system problems with my beloved 718 Cayman S a few weeks ago - these are well documented issues with the car, but can be very difficult to diagnose and truly fix. When I first started having problems, I decided to go to another shop in the area to get a diagnosis to figure out what was going on. That shop gave me a lot of stress and very little confidence that we would get the issues sorted any time soon, so I decided to come here and met with Amir. Again, the vacuum issues on a 718 especially can be a bit complicated to diagnose. From the moment I started working through these issues with Amir, he was very good on communication, transparency, and did not in any way run up a bill of other random things just to try to get more money. He sent me photos every step of the way of what was being done to my car, communicated on parts coming in, etc - I felt very comfortable having my car there. When Porsche took longer than they had promised us to get a part in, Amir made the wait much easier by helping me out with a rental. The car was driving beautifully after I picked it up, but I ended up with a fault code again and I had to come back in - I don't fault Amir/the shop for this at all, 718 vacuum issues can be very complicated and oftentimes there is no "issue" left other than a ghost code. The experience of coming back here to diagnose why this code came back actually solidified my confidence in this shop - they were once again extremely transparent and very considerate in making my second visit quick and painless. My car is in phenomenal shape, and I saved a good amount of money (and headache) compared to what I was quoted at another spot down the street. Thank you Amir!

I was honestly terrified to hand over the keys to my 2025 MX5, but these guys absolutely nailed it. I've seen plenty of hack jobs on this color where the panels look muddy or different shades in the sun. This shop treated it like a science project. You literally cannot tell it was ever touched, even under direct sunlight. The work itself is top tier. No overspray, no orange peel texture, and the body lines on the Miata are back to being razor-sharp. It's clear they didn't just rush it through the booth; they took the time to prep it right and finish it even better. I'm pretty picky about my car, so I appreciated that I didn't have to chase them down for info. They hit me with regular updates and photos of the progress, so I knew exactly where things stood. I requested a brake inspection, which was really quick, turned out I had to get my rear brakes changed. They offered to do it the same day for a very reasonable price and less than 3 hours later, my car was ready. Joe has worked on my car for small items like brakes and oil changes all the way up to getting some check engine light issues fixed. Pricing is always great. Brought my car here for a diagnostic thinking the issue was one thing only to find out "no, you don't need that," and saved me a bunch of money I would have likely spent elsewhere. He didn't push me to fix anything that didn't need fixing and pointed out a few things that were old that I might want replaced so I just took all his suggestions because it's a very old car and it needed some extra care. I went in for transmission fluid change earlier in February in my Toyota Camry 2018. I bought OEM Toyota transmission fluid and asked Joe to help do drain and fill.The drain and fill was completed. After that there was a rough driving issues started. I went back to show my car to joe and he drove the car he told me he don't see any issues. I wanted him to check transmission fluid port on if there is low transmission fluid he didn't agree and told me I might be overthinking. I went to different mechanic in April and he checked. I paid $100 to reopen the port for transmission fluid and what we saw was no fluid came out from the primary port. He added 0.5 quarters left. The issues I have had for rough idle and need to have higher RPM on slope went away completely.According to him you have to keep the car running when you drain the fluid and you need to have it at the right temperature he said the drain and fill wasn't done correctly that's why there was still room for fluid. The viscosity of the fluid makes a difference in how much you can fill and drain. He double checked for leakage and there were no leaks either. When I went to joe and asked about don't you have to keep car warm to see if temperature is right? He said you only do it when there is a leak. I don't think Joe knew enough about mechanics of New car. I wasn't overthinking when I went to ask Joe for help and asked to recheck the transmission fluid. I paid $260 for labor only( $160 to Joe and $100 to another mechanic) for same job. It's really absurd. Overall this could have damaged my transmission. I think for future the customer advise should be taken seriously. I know my car well so I know when it's not acting good. I have been driving it from 10 years.
