I called 3 times over the course of two weeks to both confirm my appointment and confirm that the full-body inspection of everything in the car was $195 and took roughly 5 hours (as I was told the first time I called). All the times I received a positive confirmation that this information was correct. Today, my wife takes in the car, and not only do they now claim that this does not exist, but that also a basic 14-point inspection that comes free with the oil/filter change will cost $412. I'll say that again: it's $412 to have your oil and filters changed. It's literally 7-10 times MORE expensive than that EVERYWHERE else... and with many places I can get a car wash with it. Absolutely unacceptable... I will never recommend this place for service, information, or giving them your money for a new/used vehicle. I came to Russel Westbrook's Jeep store in Van Nuys to do some comparison shopping as I was in the market for a new vehicle. Josh Alvarado was the first salesperson to approach me and introduce himself. I explained to Josh that I was looking at different vehicles one of those being Jeep Grand Cherokee. I also told Josh that I wasn't really ready to buy today, he acknowledged that and said we were free to look around the lot and if we wanted to we could look at some other cars that were located in different parts of the city including the lot at their Maserati dealership located down the street. Josh was never pushy and was very knowledgeable about the vehicles he showed me and gave me a ton of advice as to what to look for when purchasing a car. Towards the end of my visit Josh showed me white Grand Cherokee Limited X he had in an off lot. He took me there, let me drive it and between the drive of the vehicle and the awesome look of it - I was hooked. I asked him what he could do to help me get into that vehicle. We made our way back to the store and Josh really worked his magic by getting me into that vehicle at the price I wanted, the monthly payment I wanted and minimal down payment. As a matter of fact I offered to put more down but Josh said that he could make the deal happen on my terms. Drove 1 hour 20 min to get here arrived at 500pm and no one was here to service the car. Brought it here the next day 1015am took me 1 hour 45 min and they tell me there machine that does the nitrofill is busted. Spoke with Rogelio Espinoza or Espinola works the service desk did apologize and I requested that they if they added regular air that the next time I came in that they deflate the tire and add all nitro. He said they would and added it into the "notes" in the system and when I requested it in writing or a printout of it he declined and was acting like a a hole about it. I was polite and explained my reasons why I was not comfortable with just taking his word for it. This dealership used to be called Van Nuys CDJR until it was recently purchased by Russell Westbrook, point guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The dealership still looks the same with a few exceptions. They removed the desks where sales people sit and replace them with couches. All of your sales transactions are done with you and your salesperson sitting at couch instead of a sales desk. There is also a basketball court inside the showroom where you can shoot around while you wait for your salesperson. Being a basketball fan, this was definitely a plus. We definitely took advantage of the basketball court. We visited this dealership to look at their Jeep vehicles. A salesman named Edwin helped us. He was very knowledgeable about Jeeps being a Jeep owner himself. He explained some of the features of the Jeep and shared some of his experiences with us. He was very helpful and did not pressure us into purchasing a vehicle. read more

Horrible dealership and service providers. I bought a new, 0 miles car, at their Mother's Day sale event; the vanity mirror visor lights did not work (apparently the dealership doesn't know those terms; these are the lights found inside the mirror when you pull down the visor) and since June 24th they said they would be getting them within the week to replace the ones in my new car so they function as they're supposed to. It's July 18th and they have yet to receive them, fix them, or even shoot me a text message or call to schedule this service. The assistant manager doesn't answer calls or text messages. The sales managers are usually never available. The sales rep answers my calls but is not in service so can't help with replacing non-functioning parts in a new car they sold me. This is after my car was in for three weeks on a roof rack install that was done incorrectly so now my car is missing an exterior part. I wish I would have chosen another dealership. read more

BEWARE - dealer installed accessories are not optional, and they are NOT INCLUDED in their "aggressive" internet pricing. They only get one star because their sales guy Anthony was honest with me before I drove all the way to the dealership. My story - I've been searching for a good used Wrangler Rubicon for a while now and I finally found one that had all the options I wanted. Only problem is I live in Central CA and it is a five hour drive to come look at it. After quick and courteous help from the internet sales team I decided it was worth the 10 hour + drive to buy this particular Wrangler. I made plans to take a day off work, found someone to drive down with me and contacted Anthony one more time to make sure the truck was still available and everything would be good. That's when he sprung the dealer installed accessories crap on me. $4,860 worth of accessories that according to their website can be purchased at an additional cost, except that according to the sales guy, it's not optional. He sent me the breakdown and a Wrangler listed on their website for $26,500 is now $34,340!!! Oh, and their "I'll see what I can do, just let me talk to my manager" quickly became, sorry there's nothing I can do. What a scummy way to do business. I guess when consumers got smart enough to start saying no to the crappy add-ons they used to push during financing, they decided to make them mandatory and hide it until the last minute. Bait and switch? False advertising? I don't know, but it makes me wonder what else I would have discovered later... hidden flaws on the truck that were not disclosed? I went there (on the 24th) for the express purpose of making an offer based upon the sticker price as advertised of $31,455.00. What compelled me to compose this review is the establishment's profoundly DECEPTIVE approach to conducting business.   Their advertised sticker price for the car stands at $31,455--an amount I was eager to negotiate. But after I made my offer, my salesperson introduced a bewildering factor: dealer-installed accessories, commonly referred to as "aftermarkets." These additional elements amounted to an astonishing $4,480.00. Notably, these accessories were never disclosed as mandatory components of the purchase; nor were they mentioned on their website's fine print. The website clearly stated that these dealer-installed accessories "CAN BE INSTALLED" and hold no mandatory status. However, the salesman "Jose"- contradicted this by insisting they were mandatory- inflating the car's price to an exorbitant $35,935.00 exclusive of taxes and fees. Nowhere in their promotional material was this significant price hike--totaling $35,935--advertised. This blatant discrepancy is inexcusable, further exacerbated by their website's unambiguous declaration of the car's price being $31,455. Such conduct is not only deeply UNACCEPTABLE, but it also demonstrates an astonishing LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. After an hour wasted in this disheartening encounter, I departed the dealership. worst service experience I have ever had ! & I have owned multiple different brands of cars. First off I make and appointment that was 3 weeks out because they are supposedly booked out & I make my appointment for saturday because that day works best for me & having someone watch my son, let them know what I need to bring it in for. So my app day comes I went to drop off my car only to find out they can't even look at my car for the problem that it's having because they only do "express work on saturdays" so I have to reschedule for monday ! witch is weird because I thought they are always booked up weeks in advance. So now monday comes I have to bring my newborn son with me to drop off my car because I don't have anyone to watch him. The service advisor is checking me in, went to get info from my car & to see if he can duplicate the issue I had with my AC of course he can't because it's when the car is being driven. So I leave my car & the advisor says i'll call you wednesday! two days to diagnose an AC problem, whatever I can't do anything about how slow they work. & btw they supposedly don't have rental cars to give, so i'm left without a car with a newborn. Luckily I get a call the next dat letting me know it's ready. Picked up my car drive it home and come to find I had a magnetic bumper sign stolen off the back and dirty front bumper scrap guards that are only for challengers & chargers left in my trunk. I didn't have time to look over the car before i left because my son was being cranky & crying. I purchased a used 2022 Lexus GX460 from Van Nuys Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on September 13, 2022. The vehicle has a deep scratch in the rear passenger door that goes all the way down to bare metal. Being that I was purchasing a used car, I overlooked other minor scratches but insisted that that deeper scratch be added to the due bill because it could cause rust. The sales manager, Badie Audish, agreed to pay to get this damage fixed. Since I do not live in the LA area, Badie assured me that I could have the work done near my home. He agreed to cut me a check for an amount equaling the average of the 3 repair quotes, which came out to be $1,528.74. However, when I provided proof of the quotes and requested that a check be distributed, they only agreed to payout the lowest quote amount, but only after I had the work done. After further discussion, they then offered to reimburse me the full amount, but again, only after the work had been done. I do not trust that they will reimburse me for the repair costs as they have given me the runaround for almost a month now. I've called, emailed and sent text messages to my sales person, Harry Merdinian to address this matter with no response. I spent $20,000 on a down payment with this dealership and they are refusing cover costs that were agreed upon in the contract. I will continue to pursue this matter until I receive the compensation I am owed. read more

We ordered a Jeep Wrangler 4xe Sahara from Russell Westbrook Dodge Jeep Ram! First we met Jasmine who was super professional and friendly. After setting up an appointment, we came in to test drive it to be sure that that's the vehicle we wanted. Upon arrival to the dealership we met Danny and he showed us and test drove the Wrangler. He was knowledgeable of the product and represented the brand very well, never pushed a different vehicle on us or any markups like the rest of the market is doing right now. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought a car from them about 3 weeks ago. The salesman, Jorge, was nice and removed the warranty packages I didn't want. His manager also increased the value of my trade-in to get my payments closer to where I wanted. All well and good. Jorge even asked me to write a nice review so he could get a little bonus which I would have gladly done had the rest of this not happened. The next day I notice that the tire sealant can in the trunk is all used up. Then I noticed that one of the tires is mismatched from the others (likely the reason the sealant was used up). It is wider, has a different wear rating, and there are a bunch of cracks in the sidewall. I don't feel safe driving on this tire and without a way to fix a flat. I texted my salesman but he was off the next two days. Not wanting to wait, I called the dealership, told them what I wanted fixed and they said fine and gave me an appointment the next morning. I got up super early before work to make the 7am appointment. Hector at the service counter told me he needs a 'due bill' from my salesman to do the repair but he kindly went ahead and ordered the replacement tire. I called Jorge, my salesman, on his next day back and told him the rundown. He said he'd get back to me. I texted him asking for follow ups the next two days and called on the third but couldn't get through. Not a single reply; even to this day. Sold me a car and ghosted me. So the next week I start calling his manager, Jonathan, and couldn't get through but I was able to leave a message. To this day, still no reply. Many more days go by and I call Josh, apparently the head of Used Car Sales, and leave a message. Guess what? STILL no reply. I'm still driving on the weird tire with no way to fix a flat in case of emergency, and the new tire is probably sitting in the service shop to this day. So, I drove all the way from Santa Monica to this dealership because they had the car I wanted. On the Cars.com they are advertising the car at MSRP of $41,675 and selling price of $34,508. I wanted to lease the 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T and I already was aware of the lease program such as Residual Value and the Money Factor. After driving the car, I was ready to get it. They brought their "First Pencil" selling the car for $47K on a lease and trying to make me pay for all of the sales tax upfront! Are we in New Jersey??? The paperwork (which I had to fight to get) was just a simple sales contract for my bank (which they didn't even have me sign on-site so they could have emailed) and they didn't even want to give that to me unless I agreed to fill out an application for a "back-up" loan which I refused to sign for. The only reason they did give it was other customers on the sales floor were starting to take an interest in what was happening. FYI-- my bank financed in less than 48 hours, but now they again refuse to close this out unless I come in. They have a copy of my ID from the last visit, so can't claim this was a fraud issue. They also have my original lease on file. They also claim they only do things in person- nothing electronically so they can't fax, email or docu-sign paperwork to me. read more

I dropped my car off at 915am for an oil change and air filter change per my service contract agreement. I drive for my job so having an entire day where I am office bound is very difficult, however I was able to spare my afternoon today. By 5pm I hadn't heard anything from the service department so I called and was informed my car was done. Apparently no one thought to call me and let me know, and I was informed I needed to pick my car up by 6pm. If you're going to hold my car hostage for an entire day, you should starting getting us rental cars. Try calling the service department any time of the day, I'll bet money nobody answers. How am I calling for 40 minutes back to back on a Tuesday at 2pm and nobody ever answers!? Same thing on Wednesday, Thursday. Really?? Anyway..I brought my brand new 22' Jeep Wrangler 4xe in for service on 9/6 due to a very heavy smell of gasoline every time I parked my car in my garage. This happened from day 1 of having my Jeep. Brushed it off initially since it was brand new and maybe I was exaggerating what I smelled, but friends even made some comments so I figured something is surely wrong. So brought it in and was told it could be up to a week. Also they had no loaners so I would need to go to Enterprise on my own and rent a car then submit for reimbursement through Chrysler. Great, did that and after a full week passed without any update, I called and started leaving messages, first for my advisor, then just anyone in the service department that could update me on my vehicle. I finally get in touch with my advisor who says the technician looked it over and wasn't able to smell anything but that he still hasn't put it up on the lift so maybe when he does he'll find something. I'm thinking 'ok so what exactly has taken an entire week if all that was done was a drive around the block + a sniff test?'. But he told me he'd call me the next day to update after the technician got it on the lift. No call back so after 2 MORE days I called and left a message for an update. Still no call. The following day, called and had some operator transfers me to a different voicemail so I left another message. So now at the 2 WEEK mark I'm fed up and ask for anyone there to please just give me an update on my vehicle. The dude that eventually called me says 'ok so looking over the notes it looks like they weren't able to recreate the problem or find a leak anywhere'. He then asks if he could have a tech drive my Jeep home overnight to see if they could recreate the issue, which I thought strange.. but reluctantly agreed to. The following day I was told 'nope, no smell sorry. Want to just come pick up your Jeep?'. When I went to pick it up, in addition to the 30+ miles it was driven overnight, it was filthy as if literally someone had gone off-roading in it. Mud all over the tires and splattered up onto the body. Nobody said anything to me when I got there. No 'thanks', no 'this is what we did', no suggestions for what I should do next. Just handed me the keys to my filthy ride and walked away. 15 days it took and that's what I'm left with. And to add insult to injury, the moment I got it home and closed the garage door I could immediately smell gasoline. When you walk in, music is just blasting...not my cup of tea but maybe yours. Had an appointment at 2 pm for a test drive. Took over 30 minutes to have them retrieve the car to test drive it(in fairness, they did check in on us a few times letting me know that it was on its way). When we got to the sales part, I was very specific about what I wanted to pay. They came back with an extra $1000 down and $80 more per month. In addition, they tried to sell me on a $3000 package with low Jack or what ever it was. Explained that the car was being driven 8 miles a day and that i didn't need it. The manager said that they couldn't remove it because the price on the car was so good that they were actually losing money on the deal(lol). Basically with the numbers they had, they wanted me to pay $18,000 over the course of 60 months for a $9500 car...it was hard not to roll my eyes. After a few times going back and forth, the package could be miraculously dropped, but I kind of got sick of the persistence to sell me the package, and then saying that it couldn't be removed, to then admitting that it could be removed, that I decided, if this was happening 45 minutes into the sales process, what other crap are they going to try to pull...so I left. The salesman was very nice. Had good conversation with him during the test drive. He responded to my text after I left concerning lowering the monthly price, which they said, per the general manager, they could do a $2000 Down payment instead of $3,000. I thought about it, but the monthly was still too high for my liking. From walking into the dealership, to the whole sales process. It had been about 5 years since I had bought a car and for some reason I had assumed that the car buying experience would had changed, even slightly. It hadn't. I just want to express how extremely grateful I am, for the wonderful experience. Huge shout out to Rene and Gustavo, who were extremely patient and super informative. As a first time buyer with 0 idea how the process works, I was a complete nervous wreck. Rene took the time to present me with multiple options he felt fit my requests. AND BELIEVE ME IT WAS A LOT of them. Gustavo, explained the paperwork in a way that I actually understood. He was very reassuring and addressed all my questions and concerns, to the point where I walked out with more knowledge than when I first went in. Sending so much Love and Light to a few AMAZING souls at Russel Westbrook! First, ARA KALAIDJIAN who was the first salesman to greet me upon arriving to pick-up my JEEP. His attention to detail, ability to, and patience with answering all of my questions was literal genius when it comes to his knowledge about JEEP. As matters escalated, his manager, WALID BENTERKI was invited into my sale. He too ended up being a valuable asset to the overall work put into my sale. I shared with these gentleman how special this transaction was - as my custom Jeep's arrival ended up being the week of my mothers BDay (March 17th) and her passing (March 18th -2019). We thought, how is it that the delay for it's arrival would be that very special week? These kind hearted gentleman worked EVEN HARDER to get me THE BEST DEAL after realizing this. They kept their word. I also walked out of that dealership with better understanding in relation to investments and equity. Talk about going "above and beyond" I am forever grateful for that sense of community and family ARA and WALID provided me with. I was never made to feel like "just another sale". I also want to give a shout out to, JORDYN (spelling?) in finance and Ari who requested he assist me! Jordyn made a few adjustments to my monthly note and what he didn't realize was that the $316 resulting from the adjusted calculations are the numbers for a very special scripture tied to my mom. John 3:16. -- which talks about the "greatest" act of, Love. As I drove home tears of gratitude flowed as I felt a love that far passes our human existence overwhelming me due to such divine moments -as mentioned- with this transaction. We've leased a total of 5 cars from this dealership since 2018. 2 have been returned, but we are still leasing 3 cars (scat pack, 2022 jeep wrangler and 2022 Sahara XE hybrid). Went in to service a brand new Sahara XE hybrid for death wobbles and jeep shuts-off for no reason while driving- so far its shut off twice in the middle of the freeway PRETTY SCARY!! In the past, because we knew the staff, we were given loaners while our cars were in service, if they were going to be kept for a significant amount of time. Now they want you to call Mopar/Chrysler and arrange for a loaner yourself at the local car rental place and maybe, if they want, reimburse you for a rental up to $20/day. Last I checked, a $20/day rental gets you a Toyota Yaris maybe even less than this. Now that the staff we once knew, has since become none the smarter and moved on from this establishment, we are in unfamiliar territory. They are keeping the car between 5-7 days to fix the shut off and death wobble issue and we are out of a car until then. I can guarantee this was and is our last round of leasing from this dealership. Things to check when buying/leasing a vehicle; make sure they offer a loaner if you have to leave your car for service and make sure to add extended warranty service on your vehicle (brakes, oil change) and rim/tire warranty. We did this except, at the time their loaner service was better than before. One shouldn't have to know the pope to get "decent service". It wouldn't have helped in this case anyway. Side bar - 10:30am there were 2 salespeople on the floor and 1 manager. 2 of the salespeople were brand spanking new and wouldn't have been able to help at all. Service Dept. is always helpful and attentive, especially Hector, Benny, and Payman. They respond to texts, always answer questions and are very polite. p.s. the new manager for the sales floor is rude, uncaring, and has zero intention of being helpful. When I asked for the GM, he said "you can wait if you want, but it could be 10 minutes or 2 hours, but you can wait if you want". Well, being business owner's who's leased 5 cars from this place, I have better things to do than stand around and hope that maybe sometime soon someone will maybe show up to assist me. Stay away! Absolute Frauds! They will never see my Business Again. In November 2021 I Spent in excess of 6K to effect several repairs including the AC on Our Dodge Durango. The work was under warranty for one year. The AC had never worked well since the initial repair. We've taken it back several times. Now they want another 5K to repair leeks in the AC, that was never properly repaired in the 1st place and they are not honoring the 1 year Warranty issued from the initial repair. To add insult to injury Hector the head of the service Dept. was rude as he practically hung up on me. I am a business owner as well. if he worked for me he would be the 1st thing to go and their policy regarding honoring the warranty would be the 2nd. There are many choices and places to do business in this area. do yourselves a favor and steer clear of these guys (pun intended) read more

After the incident at Rydell Dodge (head to their yelp page to read how awful they are), I felt like it was necessary to call Dodge directly and let them know what had happened. Over the course of the last few weeks, they have been less than helpful and downright hurtful at times. For context, I'm a transgender woman. My first phone call to Dodge consisted of them repeadely misgendering me over the phone. I asked to be transferred to a different representative. Two days later, they called me back and a much more professional and educated representative was given to me who apologize profusely for the way I was spoken to by their representative, as well as at the dealership. I explained to them that I did not feel safe driving my vehicle anymore and I also explained to them that the way I was treated at the dealership was completely unacceptable as well. They told me they would escalate this up the line and let me know when there was a resolution. They also suggested that I make another appointment to have the car looked at again asap, which I did at Russel Westbrook Van Nuys dealership. They gave me a two week appointment window. Within those two weeks in my correspondence with Dodge, they informed me that my complaint against the Rydell dealership was escalated, but ultimately decided no further action was going to be taken. Certainly feels like dodge couldn't give a flying .... at this point. This past Thursday, 6/6/24 was the day for my follow up appointment to have the accelerator looked at the Van Nuys, Russell Westbrook location, as advised by Dodge. I had the first appointment of the day at 8 AM. When I arrived, there was nobody there but me and a room full of staff. I walked in and was greeted by nobody as they all busily looked down at their phones. Not a very welcoming feeling. I approached one gentleman who tried to look up my information and directed me to who would be my "advisor" His name was Payman Arjang. Immediately upon approaching him, he put two fingers up in my face and signaled to me that he was on the phone with an AirPod in his ear. I was struck at how rude this was but being determined to get this fixed finally, I was polite and allowed him to continue his phone call. Without saying much, he went outside and plugged the diagnostic tool into my car while I waited inside for about five minutes in the awkward silence of the room. He returned still on the phone, handed me his personal device and asked me to put some of my personal information in, which seemed really strange. I couldn't really ask questions since he was on the phone so I did what he asked, and he took his phone back. He then asked me what I was there for, and I explained the situation to him. Without knowing much, he immediately told me he would have to have my car for 2 to 4 weeks. Aside from being rude, this person seemed to be combative with me for no reason. At this point after this crazy long saga with this vehicle, I was exhausted and just asked for my keys since things were tense and uncomfortable from the start here. I made it a point to ask for the manager as well. He just so happened to be sitting two cubicles down and overheard and saw the whole thing. I unfortunately do not have their name with me, but they were polite and apologetic. Regardless, that does not excuse the original advisors behavior. Nor does this get my vehicle fixed or give me any peace of mind whatsoever. At this point, I really don't know what to do with this dangerous vehicle. I'm certainly considering legal options. Maybe they're named Dodge because that's what they do best. read more
