With 4.6 stars/reviews, we were excited to try it out and support a local businesses, so we gathered up our family and headed there for dinner. There were 6 in our party (3 adults, 3 kids). Unfortunately, our experience was one for the books, and not in a good way. Let's get straight to it. SERVICE: Both the person who answered the phone and the person who greeted us when we walked in were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, they told us that it was their last day and that they were moving to Portland, so she was training a new person. The new person who took our order didn't know much about the menu items, but since we knew that she was in training, we asked for help and she got someone who could answer our questions about gluten free options and pasta sauce options. We waited a a good 15 minutes or so for ginger ale and 2 cokes. We waited easily over 50 minutes for our food. MENU: The menu is very limited, meaning there are not many options to choose from. They didn't have any juice or any "kids menu" items to choose from. Limited appetizers. FOOD: Probably the worst food I've ever had at a sit down restaurant in Monmouth/Independence. We ordered few things to eat family style since it was our first time and we wanted to try a few items. Every pasta dish was undercooked and flavorless. Every single thing we ordered tasted either old, microwaved or way too salty. Nothing looked or tasted fresh BESIDES the salad, which took longer to get than the actual food. I only gave one star for the nice person who greeted us and kept checking on us throughout the long wait. Otherwise, I'd give zero stars. It was a hefty price to pay for really BAD food. It was so bad that we went to get something else for dinner after we left there.
