We love this place! Happen to come across this after facing the worse day (tax Prep). Their food is delish! Servers are very helpful and friendly. Hubs had the half Belgian waffle bacon and egg. I wanted to try their skillet Hot Mess. Needless to say I wolfed half of my huge delicious breakfast and wanted to try my hubs waffles. And I'm sorry to say I ate most of it!! They were so light and tasted fantastic! I am a traditional waffle kinda gal but these have definitely changed me! Our server was so attentive and made sure our coffee and water was always topped off. Even tho we were full...or should I say I was, we really wanted to try their chocolate cream pie. AGAIN! A great option for breakfast and dinner. I've been here for breakfast before, and it was quite good. I stopped by on a weekday afternoon, and decided to sit outside. THe seating area was great, with a roof providing shade but still allowing for fresh air. Service was very friendly and very attentive. I ordered the Bacon Cheddar burger and my companion went with the Cowboy Philly Sandwich, both with fries. The Bacon Cheddar burger was great. A thick beef patty was paired with bacon and cheddar. The sauce was a nice, creamy 1000 island. It was rich and messy. The fries were good too. The brioche bun was soft and rich; it held up nicely. The Cowboy Philly Sandwich was an interesting combination of beef brisket, pepper jack cheese, grilled onions and red peppers. The sauce was a chipotle mayonnaise. There was slaw on the side. Yes I absolutely do recommend the Grain Station. It's an all around place to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. I'm amazed how the service was way beyond normal. I've only been in a few dine ins that went above and beyond friendly hospitality. That's a lot in these times. Kudos to this place. When you walk in and see that the lighting and windows all over is nice cause you can actually see the menu when ordering. The menu is big with lots to choose from. So yes! Go and eat and get full with lots of food. I guaranteed I'll be back. So if you're in the area at anytime of the day. Stop and enjoy a good meal with your family and or friends. Service was fine...food . Drove from Salem because we have eaten here a few times before and it was very good. My friends got what they called biscuits and gravy, more like thick slime. The chicken in the Cobb salad was old, lettuce was wilted, tomatoes old and soggy. We moved to the area in September with our toddler and this restaurant has been our go to "to go" place. We love the Dijon chicken. Using the online menu, the entree states that it comes with Yukon potatoes. For some reason, this has always been confusing to staff when calling in to order to go. Today, we were told that it comes with mashed potatoes and veggies after lunch ends. The menu doesn't reflect this change. And I was told it would be $3 extra to have the potatoes that the menu states the entree comes with. I asked if the menu changed, to which I was told it hasn't. Upon asking, I was told the owners are cracking down on substitutions? But it isn't a substitution...We have ordered from there at least 15 times and would've at least liked for the restaurant to honor their menu description and change the menu to reflect their price changes if it truly has changed (since this confusion happens every time). It would also be nice for the staff to be educated on menu and price changes because it seems like what you get and what you pay are dependent on who answers the phone. We are sad because the entree is delicious, but we are going to try another local restaurant where service is more consistent and they care about people who support their business often. read more

I always give a place a second chance. I am glad that we did. It was a very busy Sunday afternoon. All the staff was really hustling. My husband got a breakfast scramble. We were in Monmouth for a football camp at WOU. We decided to go out for a coaching staff dinner and this was the place we chose. Local beers, TV's to watch the draft, and we didn't have to eat cafeteria food. Win win. Seating was a little crowded at first, but they allowed us to push two tables together after we asked, so the 7 of us could all fit. The host, bartenders, and servers were perfectly nice. Helped us with our orders and made suggestions. I decided to go with the fish & chips. They were, fine... I don't really know how to explain it. The fish tasted ok, but it felt more like a chicken strip than a piece of fish. Parts were hard, the breading wasn't flaky or light at all. It was kind of odd. The French fries were soft and a little chewy, and only a small handful of them. The coleslaw was good, and I'm glad they brought two containers of tartar sauce. Overall the food was fine. I'll probably stop by and try a burger if I'm in Monmouth again, not with fries though. 6/10. read more

Our waitress was very friendly, calling me 'sweetheart', and giving me eye contact, paying attention to me, unlike many waitresses, they only look at the person whom they expect to get tips from. They were better with rice, but once again, I took the more than half for my lunch (during my event), and still have enough for a homeless person (to dig inside a trash can. We were greeted warmly and seated in a timely fashion. FOOD: Because Grain Station produces their own in-house beers, the wife & I had to have a pint...My wife had a Pint of the Bet the Farm IPA and I had a pint of the Grain Station Stout Pint. For food, my wife had the Cinnamon French Toast and I had the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast. The food looked great and tasted great. The beers were good and hit the spot on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Can't speak for the entire menu as we only came for breakfast. I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon and my co-eaters enjoyed some biscuits and gravy with a couple of eggs. My breakfast burrito was fairly standard but tasty. I did try some of the gravy and it was delicious. Our server was an excellent, towering, raspy-voiced woman and she is really the reason for all of the stars. There's something about a seasoned waitress with hard but comical edges that just really makes my day. I definitely plan on a return visit to try out their lunch/dinner menu. read more
