My daughter come here for every dad&daughter date. Kind people, retro atmosphere, great food and ingredients. I love their efforts to be local, the seeds they provide for kids meals, and that their food never makes me feel sick. They have great shakes and dairy free options that taste delicious, especially their cold brew shakes. Not to mention their seasonal offerings are great especially their Walla Walla Onion Rings. Good for breakfast, lunch or dinner honestly, the only thing I haven't enjoyed is their strawberry offerings, but thats very minor. read more

We went to Burgerville for the first time today and let's just say we were less than impressed. First can we talk prices? I have never seen more ridiculous fast food prices in my life. We should have left then. Unfortunately, we did not. My 1/2 lb bacon cheeseburger was over $12 by itself and the 1/4 lb was almost $10. Then they want to charge you $8 for a large fry and drink!! And over $6 for a regular fry and drink. It cost us $40 for a 1/4 lb NW cheeseburger combo, a 1/2 lb bacon cheeseburger, lg fry, and a kid's meal!!! I kept thinking that maybe the food was really good and it would be worth it. I was wrong. The burger had NO flavor (even adding salt didn't help), my bacon was basically raw, the thin purple onion was very stringy, and the fries were very bland with hardly any salt. It was honestly the worst fast food burger I have ever had and an extremely overpriced one at that. The worse part is I was most excited about the fact they supposedly use Tillamook cheddar on their burgers. Well the cheese tasted like plastic. I've only used Tilamook Cheddar at home for the past 25 yrs and this did not taste like Tillamook. Needless to say, I will never go to a Burgerville again. Save your money!! Go to Applebees and get a yummy restaurant burger, fries, and a drink for $10. Oh, my son also wasn't very happy about the fact they gave him green bean seeds instead of a toy. He said they should put them in the adult meals. I agree! Cute idea but what 3 yr old wants green bean seeds? This is the best fast food restaurant in Monmouth, OR in my opinion. I come here often. The staff is always on the mark, respectful, and serving with love. They call me guest instead of a costumer which is cool. They gave me a good explanation for inflation increasing prices. They all look uniform and the location is extremely tidy. They seem to have high standards for their staff and serve quality food. My favorite is the crispy chicken sandwich. Their sauces are superior too. My experience today was with Dylan at counter. He was upbeat, respectful, and welcoming. When you come in I hope that you experience his customer service too! read more

My kids love Burgerville. For a fast food place they do try hard to give the adults some reasonable options as well. The Tillsmook burger is ok, but their kid's cheeseburgers are the best for burger options, I hate to say it. They're good though! Milkshakes are THE BEST and their fries are good too. Went here the other night and there were lots of issues: - Asked for burgers with no tomato, no onions, both burgers came with them. - Tried the onion rings for the first time and they were awful, some of the worst I've ever had. Threw most of them away. - $34 freaking dollars for two burgers, fries/rings, and drinks. We did get a lemonade and a shake, but still $34 for fast food burgers? That's ridiculous. Great fast food place based on local products. Their shakes change depending on what is in season, for example, I have never had a bad meal here. This is a disappointing review because Burgerville usually has very good burgers, specialty fries, and specialty shakes. Today, however, was not one of their good days. We ordered 2 Tillamook Cheeseburgers, fries, 1 marionberry shake, and 1 raspberry shake, and then at the last minute ordered a PLAIN hamburger for our dog -- and even made sure the girl at the window knew it was for the dog. What we received (and didn't see the discrepancy until several miles down the road) was: 2 Tillamook Cheeseburgers, fries, 2 marionberry shakes, and 1 hamburger smothered with ketchup and mustard -- far more than normal. Sorry, but the Tillamook cheeseburgers were great, as usual, but the fries were mushy, and it was inexcusable to totally screw up the plain hamburger and shake order. read more

I visited the Monmouth location this evening and picked up a mobile app order . I had a Blazin' Hot pepper grilled chicken sandwich which I must say was very tasty , perfectly done with the accoutrements . It also held together very well and I was able to consume it on my drive home on Monmouth Hwy. I have ordered in the past from an east Portland location and it's been a little too spicy and messy as I drive down 205 ends up in my lap . Not so with this one it had hot peppers but just the right amount plus the gooey melted cheese and sauce . Now on to the Walla Walla onion rings . They were excellent - sweet and done just right . Last year at this location the rings were often a bit overdone and sometimes slightly burnt , we thought it might have been the fryer . Not that this stopped us we continued to get them although maybe a bit less times because of this . So anyway run , don't walk to get this limited edition item . It is fried and not great for your health but it's only once a year for a few weeks . Plus you can eat a bowl of oatmeal and/ or down a glass of Metamucil powder in water to suck up the oil when you get home. One note to detract - I asked for a chipotle Mayo and a ranch dressing to dip and neither were in my bag , although printed on my sales order. If you have not tried the Chipotle Mayo dipping sauce this is not one to miss - it's yummy with the rings and with fries too . I rated a 4 because of the missing sauces . I had to improvise with Ken's Blue Cheese dressing and also ketchup neither one my fave and don't do justice to these fabulous onion rings . read more

Fish and chips is just three deep fried fish sticks thrown into a cardboard box. No waffle fries this time of year. Strawberry shakes are on par with McD's and BK. The teenagers and young adults of Monmouth all parade here like its church, except with artery clogging fast food. I must admit the shakes are pretty good here. This is one of my favorite Burgervilles! So clean, great employees, a real happy place. I could wax eloquent about Burgerville for days but I'll try to keep this short. First, as you should know when eating at any Burgerville, this food is quality. Local meats sans hormones or antibiotics, local veg, and a seasonal menu (Walla Walla onion rings in the summer, hazelnut shakes in the winter, and so on). This is also the most sensitive to allergens of any burger place I know. I should also preface my review with a note that I don't eat burgers, haven't since I was a kid, but I make an exception for the 'ville and eat here every time I'm back home. My favorite is the Tillamook burger, dry, with extra pickles--though their plain hamburger is even cheaper at $1.87. Yes, under 2 bucks. I often splurge and buy a small fry or even a seasonal shake. It's a really terrific meal for fast food. If you'd like to skip the red meat, the turkey burgers are also great and they have an anasazi bean burger if you'd like to go veg. Burgerville is a really special place. Even if you don't like burgers, I encourage you to give it a try. read more

Of course this is pretty much one of the only places open in Monmouth until 11 p.m., so of course, people hang out here around 10:30 getting their milkshake on. They've always been friendly, and they even give a 10 percent discount with your Western student ID card! But what's always baffled me, is that people in Salem (specifically the staff of the Statesman-Journal) love Burgerville SOOOOOO much that they drive the 20 miles both ways to get some on their lunch breaks. I love Burgerville. The menu is awesome, their philosophy on fast food ingredients is cool. That being said, this is sadly the worst one I've been to (out of at least five--all of the others are really quite clean and great) and unfortunately the only one we live near-ish to. Cons: --been ignored by staff several times going inside even just walking up to the counter to order --it's always dirty inside, even if the place is not busy--and I can understand there's not time to clean when they are slammed and that is often, but many times we're there and it's dead and I still have to wipe food off my seat and table first. I have yet to go in and see it clean. --several times had disappointing food-cold, overcooked burger and wet buns. I love a good fast food cheeseburger, but I don't order them at this location because the burger seems to always be overcooked and lacking flavor. Pros: --it's very good at least 70% of the time, the food is fresh and I like the business model. I get the turkey burger because it doesn't seem to be as sensitive to being overcooked as the beef. --the seasonal sides and shakes are why we keep going back --breakfast is also great --the drive thru service is usually great! quick and friendly. If you're hoping for a life changing fast food experience, pick a different Burgerville location, or drive through. I still like Burgerville but I keep my expectations low at this location. read more
