I just got my smog check done as requested by the DMV. Thuan is very professional and gets the job done quickly. He's also very friendly and treats his customers like family. My family goes to him for our smog checks. He's in a really cramped auto work space (aren't they all LOL), but I will drive through hell to get my smog check with Thuan. GO HERE! This place has such welcoming auntie/uncle vibes. I dropped in at 5:10 pm on a Tuesday. I asked what time they closed and they said they close at 5:30pm. And still took me in for a quick smog! Whole interaction was under 30mins. Thuen noticed my transmission oil lid was missing. He just suggested I replace it as soon as possible so nothing falls into the little tank. Where that would be a huge problem. He looked for it, when he didn't need to and found it! He showed it to me and it look like it'd been for years. He cleaned it and came out looking brand spankin new. So grateful for that! Then Vanna, thisssssss queeeeeeeeen. When I pulled up I saw her in heels, latex gloves, crouched down under a car helping Thuen like the little baddie that she is. I was instantly in love w/her. Vanna and Thuan are people you want to give business to. They're knowledgeable, welcoming and go that extra mile to make sure you feel well taken care of. Wrote a good review for this place when I first went there. Second visit, not so great. I called at 8 am and a couple more times that day. it's owned/operated by decent people but there's only one mechanic and the shop is so small he only works on a couple of cars at a time. I must have gotten lucky the first time as I was told to bring my car in that morning. This time I waited all day and never heard from Thuan; this after I was told they would call back. We would never even think of going anywhere else! More than just smog, this shop does so much more. The mechanic rebuilt my entire engine, put on a new muffler, and saved me thousands. I could not believe it! And, it's been months since my truck was rebuilt and she is still running like a dream. But, forget about the excellent work. He wouldn't do a smog check because I have the AEM cold air intake installed, he said it's illegal. I went down 2 blocks and another shop got it done with a slightly cheaper price, with no question asked and within 10mins, my illegal car is back on the road. read more

I brought my husbands car into this shop today without making an appointment. The gentleman, Thuan was very nice and acknowledged me immediately letting me know it would be 10 minutes while he finished up with another customer. After the 10 minutes, he scanned my husbands car and let me know what the cost would be ($45). I gave permission to proceed and he was finished in 12 minutes. Best of all, he transmitted the passing of the smog check to the DMV already so that's one less paper we will have to send in. Getting a smog check is a chore I will no longer dread because of this experience. I highly recommend this place!! read more

The people] help with telling you what problems your car may have for not being able to pass the smog check. The people are extremely friendly and nice. The prices are reasonable. The prices aren't overpriced. I've recommended all my friends here and have gotten no complaints whatsoever. I moved into the neighborhood recently and needed a smog check. Went to one near my house and got horrible service, so found this place on Google. I went there and there was no line at all. The smog checker was a very very nice elderly Asian man. Every few minutes he let me know how much longer it would be and what was next, and also asked me if I wanted some water. (This was such a breath of fresh air after the last place I had gone to, who basically rudely refused to do my smog check as they did not want to deal with an older car, as apparently that takes more work.) The check was done in 30 minutes. Cost was $60 including the cert and relay to DMV, which is about normal. Prices were listed on a board so you could see what they are. I liked this as being an older lady, car places often assume I am dumb about cars and jack up the price. The smog checker even took a flashlight and looked in the engine, under the car, and inside the gas tank for smog residue. Plainly he cares about his work. After we were done he let me know with a big smile that it was all good, my car passed and in fact it was a great car in great shape. This was a very good experience and I will for sure go back next year. read more
