I had a wonderful experience here. I was recommended by my mechanic for my well overdue smog check. I had called a few times over the phone with questions and was given quality assurance by the staff. I was greeted kindly upon my arrival and assisted immediately. I didn't wait longer than 30 minutes for my smog check to be done. It was fast and easy. I payed $60 for my smog check. I deeply appreciate the staffs friendly and attentive service. It made the experience all as much better. read more

Asm Test Only - Smog check prices - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Northridge, California

Hey, this is gonna be an honest review. I need to do a smog check for my renewal this year and I called around for a price check. Juan is so kind and welcomed me. It was 5 pm already when I called, and I was there around 5:30 pm, the last call for a smog check is 5:45 pm. The service is quick and I should mention it only costed my $50, gosh which is so so much more affordable for a 2011 Toyota Camry. I was so happy to call around and check before going into some random smog check place and getting charged. The price is $50, I had called and almost went to the closest place nearby that they will charge $79 for the same service. The smog check is quick, in about less than 15 minutes and I'm done. They also do oil changes and are willing to help you with whatever problem you have with your car (I mean I'm not sure, just ask and they're welcome to help). For sure I'll be back at this place and support them : ) read more

Asm Test Only - Wait room - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Northridge, California

Really great shop to get your smog test done; they saw me late and got the test done quick. Thank you!

I don't normally go out to any place to allow them to touch my vehicles. This place came highly recommended and trusted by my long time friend and mechanic at Garage Cats. When I first brought my classic Porsche the smog was just a test because the car sat for over a decade. We definitely failed the first two attempts. First being a Gross Polluter. CO was initially high and we installed a new Catalytic converter. The second attempt was also failed after the new cat because of some air leaks leaning out the system and causing high NOx. Our smoke test indicated the air to oil separator (AOS) and DEAD -O2 sensor were the major contributors. After some new seals the car went from NOx close to 2000+ down to a single digit of (3). I can't thank these gentlemen's patience with me from calling and calling, their machine being broken and now the car is legally Registered in California. Don't go to other smog shops. This is the friendliest best spot to get your car professionally tested. read more

Asm Test Only - Finally getting the smog test - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Northridge, California

Called in to check the cost for a smog on my Honda and spoke to Richard after getting his card from a customer at work. Pretty fare pricing as other local test sites were charging close to $100 for a smog check. Went in a few days later to see Richard and he was very welcoming and made me feel at ease. The service was quick and he was honest with his pricing. I was having a rough few days and his excellent customer service was like a breath of fresh air. I also got a quote from him to get my brakes done and if it wasn't for my dad insisting on changing them himself I would've gone back to him the following week. Now any chance I get, I recommend him to anyone that needs a smog at my work. ASM is A+! read more

Juan and Richard took care of me. Talked to Juan on the phone. It's a short hop from the house which makes it nice. Both of them were very kind, and I appreciated the attention and quick service. Already recommending to family who lives nearby and will start going there also for some of my car's light work too (oil changes, brakes etc). read more

Very nice and very quick This will be second time going to them !! Every two years these are guys to visit !! read more

Great service from Richard and Juan, very fast, and great price. Waiting about 10 minutes after giving them the keys.

Drove in without appt. Went to ask if Juan was working the guy said not anymore. Preceded to ask how much my SUV was since Juan the last guy I took my other vehicle there was only $38. Richard said $60 but can do it for $50 but not at the moment since he was the only one working and was heading to lunch. If I wanted to come back after a few hours because he has 3 cars pending his lunch break . I decided to leave and go find cheaper elsewhere. read more

Nothing but positivity for my smog test here. I went to my usual spot and no one was there. I then found Winnetka Smog on Winnetka in Yelp. The nice gentleman there said it was a 45-minute wait, which would be fine but it was a hot day and they would close eventually. He recommended I visit their nearby location -- ASM Test on Parthenia. I drove over off of Parthenia to several garages and found ASM. (Not to be confused with the popular ASMR.) There was a car being serviced but I was helped right away for a smog check. Everything was reasonable and there was a small waiting room in the back. I paid and was on my way. The DMV just wants an authorized location to perform the smog check and this one works just great. read more

Wow. I needed a smog check and word around town said that this was the best place to be. Turns out the word was true. I asked for a price and got a really good deal. I will not say how much because prices fluctuate and who knows they might have given me a phenomenal deal for the heck of it. I was out in 20 minutes. Enough said. Oh! And customer service, they treated me well. FIVE STARS! read more

Smogged 3 cars here in the past 2 years. Most recent a 07 Toyota Matrix. Pulled in around 11am. 2 guys there real friendly, helpful and nice to chat with while waiting. Smog done pretty quickly since my Toyota is in tiptop shape. They also smog older cars here which use a different system. Got my 86 Nissan 720 done here originally. They advised me to fill up my tank with the high octane gas and drive my truck to Simi Valley and back to heat up the catalytic converter real good before the smog. Truck just barely passed. If I had taken it somewhere else I may not have got some helpful advice before the smog. I'll smog the rest of my cars here when they are up in the future. I don't quote prices because older cars and trucks can be more expensive to smog but my 07 Toyota was cheap! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! What a wonderful and professional place. I called ahead and he explained that there was a 20 min wait. We got there and they were indeed very busy. We asked if we could leave the key and walk to the next deli for a quick bite and he's said "no problem". We came back within 35 min and our car was done, paperwork all in order and the price was excellent and exactly what we expected. So many horror stories at other local smog shops... WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND ASM! read more

Been closed for 2 days no notice or anything wasted my time going Tuesday Wednesday atleast stick a sign or something

Needed to get my Smog Check done real quick. I couldn't have picked a better place. Richard had my Truck done within 15 minutes of me pulling in. Very helpful, Extremely competent, just a great experience all around. Will definitely go back again in 2 years. Thank you Richard for the solid service !! read more

The workers there are very nice and helpful! Couldn't ask for a better experience so thank you!

I saw the sign on the side of the road offering a $29 deal for smog "test only". so I brought my F250 Supercab truck in for a check. The person who I spoke to said it would be "$50 out the door, because it's a heavy duty truck". I didn't argue because the price is still under what other places charge, so I was ok with it. Having said that, there is nothing extra that is done on a heavy duty vehicle that I could see. He pulled the truck up onto the rollers, hooked up the sensor, ran it up to speed, and gave me the receipt. Interesting..... All in all an ok experience, I'll report on price and service on the regular sized vehicle when it comes time to get it smogged. read more

Excellent every time. Always friendly. Always fast. Always on point. Thank you for helping make an annoying process much easier and positive. read more

Excellent service, best price in town as far as I know. I use to pay $50 and I thought that was reasonable. Nicest guy! In and out in no time! What else can you ask for from a smog test guy! Location is a bit hidden from the main street. read more

Very good experience, Juan is professional, fast and thorough. Will definitely be bringing my cars here. Competitive pricing too. You won't regret it. read more

Great experience! I called before and got quoted a price by Juan - very reasonable compared with other places. Apparently the older the car, the more expensive the smog check is. So call in for a quote before you come in! When I came in, there were no other cards, so I think the whole appointment took less than 15 minutes. Jun was very friendly and polite. You wait in an AC room, complete the documentation and pay. Juan also highlighted the payment date on the renewal notice as a reminder. He was also super nice and moved my car so it was easier to get out of the lot - there are quite a few other businesses with lots of cars. Highly recommend! read more

Friendly, professional, and helpful. Quick service! What else can I say? Need a smog inspection for your car? Do it here!

Beware! If your car fails, he will not do the recheck!! We did repairs after our car failed here. My husband was advised to drive the car for 100 miles before the recheck. When he went back to Juan for the recheck after running the car for 100 miles, Juan told him he doesn't have the gas bottles to run it. Later that week, I drove the car again for 100 miles then called Juan to ask if he's available to do the Smog, he said yes there's only one car, come over. He didn't know that it was for a recheck. When he found out, he again said he doesn't have the gas bottles and can't run the recheck and wouldn't tell us when he can do it. We have to pay somewhere else now to get the recheck for smog certification. read more

I had 3 of my cars smogged by Juan. He was very fast and friendly. I've had many cars smogged in the past, but this place is the best. I created a Yelp account just so I could give Juan 5 stars. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND everyone in the West Valley go to ASM for smog, they are very good at what they do. read more

Great service, done very quickly. I was in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. I have an older vehicle (1998 Chevy truck) that could no longer be smogged at a number of places I checked because the state has made the smog outlets get new machines. Luckily, they helped me out here no problem. Thanks, ASM! read more

Juan is the best!! I was having trouble getting my daughter's car to pass a smog check due to OBDII secondary air not ready. The original place I took the car to (Cruisers Smog Check) had no idea how to solve this and told me to find a mechanic to fix it. I called ASM and Juan told me what I needed to do to get the car to pass. Thank you Juan for the outstanding customer service!! read more

This place has friendly customer service, and the work is very fast not to mention the low cost of my smog check. I highly recommend this place to anyone. This is why I gave it 5 Stars. read more

I called, I came, I left. This place is fast, friendly, and efficient. The price was very reasonable. In fact less than what other places quoted. I wish every transaction was as easy and pleasant as this. I also got a cold bottle of water while I waited. I only got to take two sips, that's how fast it was. read more

Quickly done and professional! Was in and out in 10 minutes! They have a waiting area with a TV and free waters.

They must have changed employees or I got one on a bad day. The guy didn't want to get out of his chair. Very rude and unhelpful. Plenty of options out there for a smog check. I'll never come back. read more

I saw their coupon on line for $26.75 while the notes stated $24.75. So I called in to check on the price. The guy answering was very rude stating that " I can't comment on the online coupon, just bring it in. I have to go" and hung up. Never got a chance to even ask a question. I rather pay a little more, which is $29.75 in many online coupon than give my business to this place. They need to learn how to do business, because a happy customer comes back and brings more business but an unhappy one tells many others about their bad experience. So I strongly discourage you from giving them your business because they need to be courteous with their customers. read more

We've been going here for a few years for our smog checks. In and out in no time, even during covid!

Fast and friendly service. They charged me lower than most places I've been to. I will definitely use this as my go-to place. Thanks guys!! read more

This was the best price I found on Yelp. I noticed the special price of $24.75 plus certificate and electronic transfer fee and called to confirm. I was told to come on over and that the charge would indeed be $35. I was out of the small shop in a few short minutes. A most professional and painless experience! read more
