I came in because a few years ago they sent me a $10.00 coupon and so I was like yeah I'm going back since my registration is due this month. The price it self for a certified smog check was 98.00. Took it down to 88.00. Then I asked if they have military discount and so he applied another 10 off. I really appreciate the work they did. I was mainly talking to Shawn while Raphael was working on the smog check. Hands down this has been the best place for a smog check that I have came to! This has always been my hisband's go to place for smog test. However, for the first time, I had to be the one to bring in my car. I walked in with no appointment made for a smog test - they open at 8am and came around that time & was accomodated right away. The value is fair and they gave me $10 discount which is nice. The test only took less than 15 min. I wish I took pictures but I guess I was half asleep and it didn't register in my mind at that moment. read more

This was my first time here, and they were so welcoming and even offer snacks and drinks for you. I read the yelp reviews and seen that they did discounts for leaving a yelp review. I wasn't sure if they were still having that and I don't think I seen any sign at the shop about leaving a review for a discount, so I just asked the worker about it and he was able to honor it with no issue or hesitation. This other place I looked at was charging $120! But The whole process was super quick. I went in the morning on a Saturday so there was no one there. It took about 15-20 minutes. They were so nice! So we came and talked to Z and he gave us a very good price for the Smog! And they do offer a discount offer once you check in on Yelp! It's Located in the 76 gas station on on Reseda and Roscoe! The Doctor Smog facility is conveniently located at Roscoe and Reseda in Northridge. I was able to pull this big truck into the business without any problem (a worry I always have.) Brought my car to get smog-checked here after I had just finished getting the car serviced at a nearby auto service establishment. I acquired the car from out-of-state and a special type of smog check was needed to submit to the DMV. The gents who assisted me were courteous and handled my request promptly without any issue. I was politely offered some soda while I waited and ate some lunch I had purchased from a kabob place nearby. They were very kind to compliment me on my car, as well. I recently had my engine replaced through my warranty for my Hyundai Tucson the car was ready the day my registration was going to expire and I needed a smog before registering the vehicle. I came to Doctor Smog and was greeted by a gentleman who said he could do it within 15 minutes and he gave me the paperwork after I said great go ahead and do it. He did his thing and he had entered in my information from my car for the DMV. Then when it came to pay at the counter, I used the $15 off check-in offer and it lowered my bill to $83 which was the amount the dealer was going to charge me anyways. The service was quick. The guy working there did the job with smile on his face and he made it easy for me. And then I was done. He told me to wait an hour or two before registering the vehicle because it takes time to get into the DMV system. I would definitely recommend anybody who needs a smog certified technician to do a smog so they can register their vehicle to do it here at Doctor Smog which is attached to the Chevron station gas station on the corner of Reseda and Roscoe Boulevard in Northridge California. read more
