I did not even have a Yelp before today (and that's saying something because I am a young person who eats, a LOT). I made a Yelp to leave this review. What a fine establishment! Helped me with my iPhone, and didn't try to scam me like the local big name place (I don't want to smear a place because I got bad customer service from one particular worker, but let's just say 'Smatteries - Lightfixtures won't be getting my business again!). 'Smatteries asked me to not only a new battery, they tried to force me to get a new screen! I thought I was being scammed and found this place online. I am so happy I did. I paid 1/3 the price of what the other place was asking, and Valley iRepair did it in less than the time it took me to complain about how bad of service I got from the other place. Seriously, keep this place OPEN by giving them your business. I am so happy I went here instead of trying to deal with the other place. Friendly, fast service, and paid way less than at the competitors. Everything I was looking for in a repair shop. Keep up the good work!!! I had an issue the same day that the repair was made. Unfortunately, due to their hours I was unable to have it resolved or talk to anyone until the following Monday. I called. I explained that something was happening and due to my personal situation probably couldn't get there close to closing. The person that help me was rude and it kept saying that he needed to leave that I was keeping him there past closing. I paid $180 for them to break my phone, the only thing wrong with the previous screen was a crack in the corner. I would take that over my phone freezing every 10 seconds-2 minutes. If you're looking for customer service and quality repairs, this is probably not the place to go. He said he would replace the screen under the warranty but kept blaming the battery when this was never an issue before I brought my phone to them. Also, they don't tell you that they're not going to use genuine parts so you're going to get an error message, that doesn't change. The guy was the biggest jerk and really I rather buy a new phone then have to deal with these people again!! read more

My husband recently had a cycling accident and we thought for sure his iPhone was destroyed. His screen was completely blacked out and crushed. I took it to the big box store. We were told it would be around 500.00 to repair. Our son pointed us to Valley iRepair. I noticed on their website that I could just drop in. Well, I did. The gentleman seemed confident it could be fixed, had a very transparent price list, which was much less than half the price of the big box repair, and said it would take 35 minutes. I was shocked! So I let him fix it. The phone is perfect. I still can't believe how quickly and affordably the repair was done. So pleased! I was also told they guarantee their work, and since we were now in their system we wouldn't need to keep up with the receipt or anything. If we had a problem just bring it back in. My wife has been having a spotty issue with her iPhone 5s where the touchscreen would sometimes be unresponsive, sometimes random unintended gestures/buttons/etc. We were not sure if it was hardware since she always kept a screen protector on it and the screen itself looked flawless but within 5 minutes at iRepair, they had a new screen plugged in showing perfectly normal operation. We had already taken it to the Verizon store thinking the insurance we had been paying on the phone since it was new would be of help. That was just a waste of time and money. In fact, we had spent more on insurance over the last 18 months than the new screen cost and that wouldn't even have covered the damn deductible which we found out was $200 for this phone. Bastards. So the most unfortunate thing happened... my iPhone took a dive in the toilet. I literally felt as if the toilet was fighting me for my phone. I was successful getting it out but of course it needed serious help. The internet was nice enough to tell me to throw it in some rice which I did but I now know that rice is not a miracle worker but Travis Powell is. :) He was very upfront about the risk of the phone not being able to be saved before he started the process. His honesty was much appreciated. I was willing to take the risk and it paid off for sure. My phone is now operating as if nothing happened. Despite being advised not to, I decided to pay for the repair of my water damaged iPhone and they stayed in contact with me throughout, kept me updated, and were flexible and adaptable with every challenge I threw at them, from a soda damaged iPhone to the fact that I had no car and live far away. I went to the Roanoke location for my iPhone that needed a battery replacement. I had originally went to Best Buy because they are "apple certified" however they said they were unable to do it because it was "bent". I came to Valley iRepair hoping it could still be fixed. When he opened it up, Best Buy had left multiple screws loose and many had fallen out of the phone. The employee tightened the screws that Best Buy had left while replacing my battery. He explained what he was doing as he replaced my battery. The whole process took less than five minutes. Overall very excellent service and highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a repair. Why would anyone go elsewhere? I was ready to leave for Alaska and needed my iphone front camera replaced. Travis looked at it as soon as I walked in and he discovered the camera had simply come unattached--or had not been properly attached previously. Didn't even charge me to reattach it. This was honesty where many others may have been less so. They also gave me so many good tips for photo management and other travel related issues. Great service, very easy to talk to. Jeff is very knowledgeable about Apple products. Great passion for his work. My phone was shutting off by itself and I had to plug it up to turn it back on. After about five days, I couldn't even turn it on. The upper left side of the phone also shows the front panel lifting from the body. I was freaking out that my 5S was junk but Jeff explained that it was the battery. The Li ion battery going bad outgas and swelled up lifting the top panel. He changed the battery right then. Jeff replaced the slightly cracked screen of my iPhone X in just a few minutes and the result is awesome. I'd put up with looking at the broken screen for a long time (it cracked that _one_ day I cleaned the protective case and didn't put it back on immediately), but finally I grew tired of the crack because it was right over the keyboard making typing even harder than normal.
