Provide great service!! I bought a computer 5 years ago and they still keep it going!!

Two years ago my computer had a virus and I immediately shut the computer down and took it to BC. I've forgotten the charge, but it seemed reasonable. Today my computer appeared to have a virus so I brought it back. They explained it was not a virus, but some other means of locking my computer. The fix took about a minute and they gave instructions on how to handle a situation like this if it happened again. There was no charge. I'm very pleased with their service. I took a laptop in to have a fan replaced. It took a couple of days and cost $150. When I got it back, several keys on my keyboard suddenly don't work. Plus, they needed all my password information to replace a fan? In the course of replacing the fan they messed up my keyboard. They said a new keyboard is $200 + $100 to install. Those keyboards are $20-40 online. Won't go back. read more

Took MacBook Pro A1706 here July 2019 because screen had vertical lines and keyboard stopped working. My son said he could tolerate the screen with vertical lines. They charged about 450 for new keyboard / palm rest. My son got it back and delayed telling me about the touchbar being loose and the manual power button not working after the repair. I took it back and they put double side tape on the touch bar. My ex picked it up and when my son was with me again, I noticed touchbar was raised slightly higher than keyboard (think tech took a shortcut). Ugh. So I took it back again asking them to send it to Apple to make it right as I lost faith in their tech(s) and disputed the charges. Eventually given a refund. If you have a MacBook with touch bar I'd suggest shipping it to Apple for any repairs. Think these guys are geared more toward PCs / Window Operating Systems. read more

Hello, I just wanted to thank you guys again for your amazing customer service. For those reading this post, I was in Roanoke to speak at a conference. I forgot to pack my laptop's power cord. I called Brambleton Computer and they advised the have a power cord. While at the store, my cell phone ran out of power, it was a rough day...lol The staff was truly amazing and helpful. They gave me a power cord for cell phone for free and gave me a great price for my laptop power cord. Brambleton Computer goes above and beyond to assist their customers. I took my Lenovo laptop in because it wouldn't boot past a distorted graphic. Brambleton Computer called telling me the computer wasn't compliant with Win10 any longer. I told them I doubted that was the case because it's features were as good or better than most new computers. Long story short they called again telling me I had a "bad" motherboard which they didn't attempt to repair. After paying their fees I picked up the laptop. I gave it to a friend who said he found a conflict with a graphics card. He was able to fix it without replacing any hardware especially the motherboard. My conclusion is if they don't find any simple plug and play stuff they don't have the ability to do other repairs. Their business model is to heavily advertise and spiralize in "quick" fixes only. read more

Their quote to repair was about 600.00 for a laptop, so I said, "No thank you." I went to pick it up and it was returned it to me in pieces and parts in a plastic bag. I understood it would not be repaired, but it seems they would have given it back to me the same way I brought it in. Mind you, this was the first time I took a computer in for repair, so it may be standard practice to return the customer a bag of parts, but to me it is not acceptable. About 11 months ago I purchased a Dell tower for my desktop from Brambleton Computer, $995, I assumed it was new. I was having some problems. My C drive was FULL and I mean full. I called our computer guy, one we have used for 18 + years. HE KNOWS A COMPUTER INSIDE AND OUT. this had a hard drive that only had 128 of "whatevers" AND WORST THAN THAT IT HAD BEEN USED BEFORE I PURCHASED THE TOWER. I took my computer in first because the wifi wasn't working and it was slow. They talked me into installing a solid state hard drive. After getting it home, the wifi still wasn't working and it started doing strange things. I took it back and they reloaded the windows so I lost Microsoft Office and two of my sewing programs. Then they called and said some of the keys were not working. They were working when I took it in. I believe I would have noticed the return and backspace not working! They said the keys were not fixable so now I have to purchase a new computer after paying them to fix my old one. I'm out about $300 plus buying a new computer. read more

I work from home, actually a cave but anyways....the laptop crashed in the middle of the workday. I took it over to these guys right away and talked to Richard. We tried several different things in the store. I ended up having to leave the computer with them. The hard drive ended up being toast but they restored my computer to brand new and added windows 10 to it as well. I was able to pick up the laptop by the end of the day and it only costs $50.00 Could not be happier. I was back to work the next day. No work=no pay. And I was working again in a few short hours. I brought in a water damaged laptop for assessment and repair. I was told the computer was not salvageable and I was asked if I wished to retrieve the computer or 'recycle' it, i.e. leave it at the store for the business to use as it saw fit. I retrieved the computer and within a month it was working again. I am typing this review on the computer the company claimed could not be salvaged. Whether dishonesty or incompetence is the explanation for the company's poor recommendation (I have my opinion), it nearly cost me the price of a new computer. You know that it's no surprise , when somebody overcharges you provided poor service. Surprises when you find someone who does it all correctly. Brambleton computer is one of those businesses who has everything right. They provide amazing service and very reasonable prices. I've been a wreck computers for decades. I've never seen anyone provide such expeditious service with such tremendous courtesy and competence. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs computer repair, or who is considering buying a new computer. When my wife brought her computer in at 10 o'clock in the morning, the front of the office was full of people with computer problems. Their staff looked at the computer immediately, and justly determined that it was not repairable. By 1 o'clock they had a high quality, reasonably priced computer ready with all of her files pictures accounts and vital data installed. Awful, beware! I bought a refurbished Dell, with all the specs above and beyond required for an architecture student education. I have had problem after problem. Randomly cutting off on me, crashing when I have one program open, screen going black on me with 90% battery. Totally unreliable. This computer is a piece of junk. I wish I had just bought it through the school. Luckily I still have my 2 year warranty and you better believe I will be demanding a refund. read more

I had heard great things about these guys so when my computer was hit by Crypto I took it to them. They recommended a new hard drive and to start over. They also recommended better security and MalwareBytes Premium along with Carbonite for back up. So I agreed. They got the computer up and going but found out later that the $200 they charged me for the "better security/virus protection and Premium MalwareBytes" was the free Microsoft Security Essentials and the free version of MalwareBytes not the premium. The validation code for MalwareBytes was no good. I have called them and emailed them with no response. I am very disappointed. read more

Stay away if you need anything other than PC help. New server was never finished (I finished it), cover was scotch taped closed (I fixed that too). This was supposed to be a new server. Found out later that our real issue was a power issue in the building and not the server. Cost way too much. read more
