I call them first because I have total trust in them as competent and honest. It feels so good to know you can call someone who will not try to upsell and literally try to find the option that saves the customer money. Many businesses just want to make the maximum profit when actually working in the customers best interest is what brings the customer bank and gets them referrals. Than you Pure PWR pools for the piece of mind.

The company that manufactured (and guaranteed) the rooftop modules, Fafco, went out of business last November. My warranty was with Pure PWR and not Fafco, so I wasn't worried about being left in the lurch. A couple of weeks ago one of the Fafco panels sprung a leak, and I called Pure PWR to deal with it. They sent out a repairman who fixed the problem without needing to replace the damaged panel. Pure PWR didn't charge me a penny for this, because they were honoring their warranty. I'm updating my review here to say how impressed I am with how well they honored their warranty even though the deck was stacked against them. They could have waved their hands and mumbled something about how it wasn't their fault -- which it wasn't -- but that's not what they did. They honored the warranty, fixed the problem, and didn't charge me anything. Yay for Pure PWR Pools.

Pool Remodel Success!…read more In the early fall of 2022 we sought bids to re-plaster our 35 year-old pool, convert to an LED lighting system and replace a cracked skimmer. We wanted to get as far away as possible from the original uncomfortable and ugly PebbleTec coating as practical... and we did! We're well experienced at doing due diligence on major remodel projects, and our pool was no exception. One company had been highly recommended on NextDoor.com so we invited a bid from them. We found numerous others and invited bids from each. A couple of them were totally out of touch price-wise, so were quickly eliminated. We thoroughly investigated reputations of the others. In the process we learned that, realistically, each of the companies had at least one skeleton in the closet - even years back. The unhappy customer of any business will always be the first to post negative feedback. But some of these vendors had current feedback that was awful. They were eliminated, leaving us just two companies who we thought were serious contenders. And their pricing was within about $1,500 of one another. So we dug further into the fine details of their proposals and selected the firm whose proposal best matched the exact finished product we wanted. That company was Oly's Pools from Valley Center. It was a good decision. From the first meeting with Robert Thompson of Oly's we felt that he was a straight-shooter. He did not promise they would start in a couple of weeks and just blow it out; that was unrealistic. He estimated they would be ready to start near the end of January and that's exactly when the demolition began. Of course, that was in the middle of the wettest winter here in years, so there were unpredictable and unavoidable weather delays through much of February. They had to re-pump the pool numerous times. But, when the weather was good they were here working. Our pool was completed in Late March and we could not be more pleased. Robert did not promise what he could not deliver and delivered what he promised. We chose a plaster product called QuartzScapes Reflections Series, in a medium dark blue with a touch of quartz sparkle. It is beautiful beyond our expectations. When one undertakes a remodeling project of any consequence there a certain expectations: The contractor will show up when promised; they will actually work a full day, not just come for awhile then saunter off to another job; they will be friendly and professional, respectful of your property, and clean up after themselves. And, finally, that the finished product will meet or exceed your expectations. That's a logical but not always accomplished list with every contractor. We can say unequivocally that Oly's Pools set a high bar and met all of our expectations. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for your pool remodel project as people of integrity and immense skill.

Honestly, I am happy to have an alternative to pool safe, who basically has a monopoly in our area. Hopefully this guy can be successful long-term. But I was very satisfied. The labor rate was 250 per hour. It may sound high to some, but it's in line with the price from Pool Safe, but he's much more straightforward than they are on pricing, so I think in honesty, you will end up paying a much more fair price if you go with San Diego safety solutions. He didn't try to upsell us, and he gave us an honest opinion on how long this temporary repair would work. Will definitely call again for any other cover related issues.

We were out of town but had guests with a toddler on the property so wanted to get the cover repaired and closed as soon as possible for safety reasons. San Diego Safety Solutions was impressively responsive and immediately called us after I hit 'SEND' . They told us the after hours Service Call rate was $350 per hour and included one hour of labor plus whatever parts. This seemed reasonable as we had the rope on the other side of the pool cover replaced last year and I knew it only took around 30 minutes of labor, plus parts. After he arrived at our residence, he called us and told us it would be $1100 to replace just the one rope. He also told us we needed a new pool cover and tried to upsell us. Apparently he could not do the work within the service call hour. To avoid getting grossly overcharged for one rope replacement, we unhappily paid him his $350 service fee to manhandle the Pool Cover closed. Two days later, we had Pool Safe replace the rope and grease the motor in LESS than 30 minutes and charge us a total of $650. (Service call, labor, rope and a few extra parts). Pool Safe literally took less than 30 minutes to complete the job. There was absolutely no reason for San Diego Safety Solutions to charge us $1100 for one rope replacement. I absolutely do not recommend San Diego Safety Solutions as they will try to upsell you, gouge you with exorbitant pricing or overestimate their labor hours.

I knew there would be electric and jandy valve change orders, and he found them and the price was very reasonable. Overall very happy with his work. Abe was able to spot that and had a fix for it. Well done!

He was reckless with my pool, and exhibited poor common sense and judgement. My pool tiles were knocked off in one area, pool was left visibly grimey and dirty, and concrete around pool basket was messed up as well, in addition to Abraham rinsing my filter cartridge out directly on top of my sprinkler head every time. Something sandy should not be rinsed out on top of a sprinkler head when there are plenty of other areas to rinse the filter. When I was notified the tiles were damaged, I asked Abraham to place them in my pool shed. Instead, he left them on the ground in my walkway. I have a puppy and that is not where I asked him to leave them. I am highly dissatisfied with this service and especially for the price I paid for his cleaning services. He would come after dark many times to clean the pool and it's like washing windows in the dark. The pool has never looked worse. I used Chucks Pools service for nearly 15 years without any problems, and I had to let these guys go after 1.5 months. I wish Chucks pool service was still open, but they abruptly closed in December 2024 so I had to find someone new and now not only do I need to find someone new, I also have to have my pool repaired due to the reckless "cleaning" performed by this company.
