Tuesday is senior citizen night, and they pack the place to the gills with the 55 plus crowd. I was impressed how the staff kept up with the fast pace of service. We watched the bartender mix drinks in the glass one after another. It was mostly margaritas for the Tuesday crowd. My wife ordered two carne asada tacos. They were simply steak bits in a tortilla. We were very surprised that they cost $6.45 each. Don't get me wrong, we love some of the great taco places around town and are used to paying $6 for a taco. These tacos, however, have no culinary value at all. There is no sauce. There is no garnish. It was just meat on a tortilla with shredded lettuce on a plate. These tacos are worth $2 a piece max. I had an asada steak burrito. I rejected the first one because the meat was cold. The second was super hot because they reheated the asada to burnt bits. It is obvious that the meats are pre-made a long time before serving. The service is efficient, but for $6.45 a taco, you can do way better at some of the modern joints. read more

The atmosphere is very fun, and intense but in the best ways. Every nook has something fun or interesting to look at. My family and I got into an entire discussion about some of the paintings on the wall during my wedding dinner. On that note, the management was incredibly accommodating for our group of 10, even after calling to push back a reservation I had made a couple of weeks prior. The food is very well served, plates come out very hot, our only complaint is that the menu is a bit overwhelming and limited descriptions make it hard to choose- food problems (that's why my true raining is 4.6 but I rounded up lol) If you come here, be ready to loosen your belt a bit, because you'll leave stuffed!! read more

We always have a great experience at Valle Luna! Their chips and salsa are some of my favorite in the valley. One of my husband's all time favorite meals is their Pollo Fundito. I love everything. The cheese crisp, the tacos, enchiladas, tamales, etc. The service is always friendly and accurate. I also love the atmosphere. We were there on a Monday and quite enjoyed the Margaritas on special which were delicious. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. They were quite helpful and going out of their ways. They don't serve Huevos Rancheros -(strike 1) they serve Chile rellenos with Anaheim chiles when the state is right next to New Mexico #hatchgreenchile - (strike 2) (strike 3 should have been that the Hispanic waitress didn't even know what Hatch Green Chile was). so I tried the most basic of Mexican foods a Tostada. Does this meal even deserve a star? Wow. Terrible experience from start to finish. I had a reservation, got to the hostess stand and got told I didn't have one, when I showed them my spot on line. I gave my name and sat with my child, husband and friend for 15 minutes for them the clear a table?... (Got to table and it had not been whipped down. Totally gross.) when the waitress finally came around we ordered a Margarita and we're told it was pre-mixed.. AKA watered down. Instead we went with the Sangria and water. We waited about 15 minutes for our drinks and devoured our chips and salsa. Refills? We ordered the quesadilla extravaganza, and it was one of the worst things I've ate in a long time. Dry, hard as a rock, and bland. Should have been called the rawhide quesadilla extravaganza. I thought I had bitten my fork really hard and my tooth hurt really bad and I looked down it was just a piece of tortilla. When the waitress came to check in on us we talked about the tortillas and how hard they were, and her response was that she's heard lots of complaints about the tortillas but there's nothing she can do about it. If there's been multiple complaints about the tortillas, wouldn't you change that? Every single dish on the menu basically has a tortilla. And how much does it cost to buy better tortillas? Or bring it in house and make them there in your kitchen - more authentic? Wish I could say I would come back, because in the past this has been such a great restaurant for me and my husband. I will not be returning. $19 for an quesadilla where the ingredients maybe cost $3 - highway robbery. Didn't even want to bring home my leftovers. I'm now being punished on our drive home. Food was good, the atmosphere was Mexican as you'd expect, and the parking was plentiful. Met a friend there back in January who no longer lives in the Valley. This is where she wanted to go! My brother's 60 surprise bday with family members he hadn't seen in many year was by our server inadvertently mentioning it before they arrived. Came here for a quick lunch and was surprised how busy it was. I sat in the bar and the music was poppin. I also tried one of their caddy margaritas and it had me buzzed. They do not skimp on the alcohol which was a plus!! I tried their chile relleno and was super happy. It came with rice and beans. Chile was cooked and not hard either. Chips and salsa was great. This place used to be good. Not sure what happened. I asked for ground beef and got extremely hard and tasted old shredded beef! The salsa tasted like from a can. Cheese on the enchiladas were absent. No napkins unless I begged for one. Very disappointed and it was gross. They literally had it ready in 5 minutes which leads me to believe it was premade. Nostalgia! I grew up in Phoenix and Valle Luna was always a favorite. After 15 years away, we came back for a visit and had to stop in. I'd been telling my family about this place, explaining repeatedly that a cheese crisp is NOT a quesadilla, and singing the praises of Fundido-style chimis for years. I was so worried that they wouldn't be the same or not as good as I remembered. I am over the moon happy that it was just as delicious as I remember, and I'm more than a little smug that my family was just as blown away with the incredible flavor...I have been vindicated! All the staff was very friendly, attentive, and efficient. It was like coming home! We were seated reasonably quickly (it was dinner time and justifiably busy), our drinks were never empty, and we never wanted for anything. The tortillas were amazing. You can't find tortillas that crisp up like that just anywhere. All of the chimi fillings that we tried were packed with meat, bursting with flavor, and just divine. The Fundido topping was everything I remember from childhood...cheesy, creamy, taste bud tantalizing perfection. I would, and definitely do, recommend this restaurant to everyone who'll listen. I've been to all the Valle Luna's in the valley and this is by far my favorite one. I've been coming to Valle since my fam moved to AZ almost 20 years ago. Me and my bestie always get several things to share. My latest fav is the fundido meal. But I've had most of the menu and have never been disappointed. The service, especially at this location is always great. My most recent experience you can tell our server was a veteran server because she was near perfect. Drinks were never empty, chips overflowing, she was great. Writing this review and looking at pics from my previous adventures there is making me hungry. Brb gonna text my bf and tell her we need to go again soon! Really tho, try valle! Such great Mexican. Since Covid m'y visits here haven't been as frequent as they were but that's the same for everyone. Now that things really getting back to normal I will be back!! read more

Always so great!!! Met my friend fir lunch. Had a prickly pear margarita. Delicious. Not sweet at all. Did a choose 2 combo. Shredded beef taco and cheese enchilada. All black beans. Wonderful.
