We went here one Friday, not too late. It was packed and we had to wait. They said 20 minutes, but it was more like 10 or 12. The food is the same as the other Valley Luna on Cave Creek. I feel like it was better back in the day. I've been going to Valle Luna locations since the '90s. I really like their Kelly's dip. Their other stuff is really hit or miss. I said I would give this location a second chance, but sadly the food disappointed again. The fajitas were all onions, though the portion size was pretty hefty for just shy of $20. The flavor was okay, but I've definitely had better Mexican food in the Phoenix area. Lastly, the service and store atmosphere was decent, but nothing that stood out for me to return. I really don't want to say it but they're quality has really gone downhill, before covid it was ok and then after covid it got worse, just the other day we had dinner there and it didn't taste right so with no sauce or anything else I tried the meat inside the burrito it just tasted not seasoned correctly with not so quality meat or it could have been old food but whatever it just wasn't good, so I tried my wife's food and her meat was even worse. Sorry to say but with tip and two meals it wasn't worth it, if it was a good meal with tasty ingredients the price is worth it, but when it tasted like we had I don't even want it for free, unfortunately we're finding a lot of our favorite restaurants are just not as good as they used to be. For us we just like good food and enjoy it but when that's not possible we'll start cooking at home more. A friend brought me here for a birthday meal. Very busy on a Thursday night but we were seated relatively quickly. Lots of good choices on the menu but I decided on the Consuelo Enchiladas Suizas. They were listed as spicy but I don't think they were. I do like spicy food so I may have a higher tolerance. Anyways, these were very yummy!! I would definitely order them again. Super good, nice servers. I come back every time I'm in the Phoenix area. I ordered the shredded beef burrito and it was delish. Lots of beef inside with choice of beans (love black beans!) and rice. There was some red sauce on top and some shredded lettuce and pico but no sour cream. It was terrific anyway. Both other diners ordered the spinach, cheese and potato enchiladas. I'm not an enchilada person because I don't like corn tortillas, but, this dish was incredibly good! I will order that next time! So good! Our server was friendly and helpful and he brought a complimentary fried ice cream for my birthday. That was yummy and fun and three spoons made it disappear quickly! First of all, I cannot believe that I have never left a review for this place! It just so happens to be my favorite restaurant, EVER! I have been coming here since I was a kid when my parents took me, and I am 57yrs old now and still love it! EVERYTHING that I have tried here throughout all those years has been EXCELLENT,, but, for the last 25 or so years now I have just ordered one meal only,, the "Pork Fundito"! Now, you can get the Fundito in all the meats, including shrimp, although in my opinion the way they spice their pork up is just outstanding and the best tasting for the Fundito. I recommend trying them all like I did so you can come to your own conclusion. The chips and salsa are excellent too, although, be careful because they keep bringing them as you are devouring them and before you know it your meal shows up and you are already stuffed. And the worst part of that is the food at this place is SO good that you will eat your meal anyway, stuffed or not, you won't be able to stop yourself.. you will eat that whole meal and then you'll be looking around the room for a good place for you to take a nap until some of that digests a little bit. Ohhhh,,, what am I wasting my time tryin to warn people about this,, none of ya gonna listen,, it's going to happen no matter what! Stopped in super hungry when Diele K and I were in the area. The location feels outdated but there is decor to add to the dining experience. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito ($7.95) with green sauce on the side and rice (I forgot what the side of rice cost). It was not the best meal I have had but it did the job. I am a green sauce fiend and I did not enjoy this green sauce. There was not a long wait which I was grateful for due to my level of hunger. The server was okay and our food came in decent timing. Company had Valle deliver for a catering event we have and did pretty good. All the food was good and great size for about 50-60 people. We picked up from their location. It definitely has some spice to it and it was great! We sat near the bar and football is on. It is not loud and you can still have a conversation.
