Chicken Fajita Taco Salad
Bob C.

Have eaten here about 10 times since they opened. Always friendly service and fresh food. The prices have increased recently but still a great place. We always get the table side guac and typically taco salad, chimichanga or fajitas. They have a pretty large kids menu as well. This time I tried the tamale as well and it was mainly corn (not much meat compared to others).

Birthday boy!

The food was phenomenal, the server could have been the nicest person, and the ambiance was very authentic. Had a blast celebrating a friend's birthday with a relatively big group!

The Sunday vibe

We love this place. The chips and salsa are the bomb. We have tried several things here from the menu. You get a lot of food. We just eat half and then have another meal from the leftovers. Very happy with the attentive service as well

Chicken chimichanga á la carta , and a pallea Mexicana
Alainna S.

Came in last minute and had some good food . The chicken chimichanga was super tasty and hot , I don't like sides so I got it á la carte . My boyfriend got the pallea Mexicana . Not sure what Roy got but it was a big burrito and it was good.

Margarita

We went to dinner here on a Friday night and it was packed. We waited 25 minutes for a table expecting to not get very good service. By the time we ate and received our check, we were surprised that it was excellent service. The food was really good and the Margarita tasted amazing and had a kick. The decor of this new restaurant is appealing as well. I'd recommend Valle Escondido but be prepared for a wait particularly on a weekend.

Tamale

Margaritas were good, fairly priced, and the large is huge! Red sangrias were good too. Salsa and bean dip were very tasty, chips were ok (a little greasy) the taco was really good (shell tasted great) the chicken in the chimichangas were a little dry and the chicken in the quesadilla tasted a little rubbery. The re-fried beans were good. Service was good as well, although it was pretty dead when we went. Overall it was pretty good, I would go back but avoid chicken.

Fat from carnitas
Sammi G.

Food was good. However our server Sara, looked at us like we had 3 heads when we ordered. 1 she got my husband the wrong taco shells and 2 she brought me 3 carnita tacos when I ordered carne asada... I am not a fan of carnitas and these 3 each had huge chunks of fat in each taco... I really wanted to like this place but she really killed the experience.

Carry out Chicken Fajitas for 2
Joe K.

I ordered carry out online and was given a 15-minute estimate. I arrived a few minutes early and only had a 5 minute wait. Restaurant is clean and tastefully decorated. Looks like a good place to bring family or friends. They packed up my food and I headed home, which is just a 5-minute drive. I had really high hopes and was looking forward to a great meal. The chicken was honestly chewy like it had been overcooked or reheated. The texture just wasn't good and neither of us finished the fajitas or wanted to keep the remainder to reheat later. The guacamole was very good, but the chips were just average. The spinach dip was also very good, but didn't look anything like the picture in their menu. I think it was really just queso dip with a sprinkle of spinach added. It's still very good and recommend the dips. Overall, the food is your average westside Mexican grill. I do like the interior and their outdoor area looks like a great place to hang out too. If you are going for drinks and food isn't the priority, then I think this restaurant is a good place to go.

Great food with unbelievable mole sauce. You can taste the coffee and chocolate that they use to make it.

It was so substantial that I only made it through half. I enjoyed it with chorizo, but for a modest surcharge, they will make it with brisket! The Al Pastor Hash was the standout. It was beautifully balanced, full of bold, authentic flavors, and expertly prepared. One of my brunch-mates spends much of the year traveling through Latin America, and he was genuinely impressed. Excellent food, generous portions, and a memorable brunch experience. We'll definitely be back and look forward to trying more of the menu! Attentive service and a beautiful location in Downtown Cincinnati's quiet Pendleton neighborhood made the morning perfect.

Surprised I've not heard of this place before my brother suggested we try it (some Bengals player…read morerecommended it on a podcast I guess). This is a solid place! I didn't think I'd find something that could compete with Bakersfield but this does. It has unique flare without being over the top like some places can. Like pairing pickled veggies with my shrimp? Yes please! Ceviche was a little on the smaller side. Its flavor was there but price to size wasn't worth it to me. Recommend the grilled esquites as a side. I can't NOT get the charro beans because they were addicting. I could live on them in the winter. Tacos were so ed how you'd expect with homemade corn tortillas. Delicious, but I'd say Bakersfield pulls ahead just a touch with the tacos. Camerones Saadi's was delicious! I'd get it again, but still want to try some of their other mains. I did try dessert. Mind you I'm not huge on tres leches as it is so it might not be surprising that it wasn't my favorite. It was a tad on the drier side and textured (this was coconut tres leches so probably where the texture came from). I'd skip dessert the next go round maybe, unless they had some other fun seasonal things to try. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails as well! Especially the mezcal-based ones.

Some things are out of your control, but still I would've enjoyed my food more if I could have sat and ate it. This place feels a little light a hole in the wall in downtown Cincinnati. It does not have lots of tables, it is unassuming on the outside, and the menu is simple. We were drawn to it, even with the long lines because of all of the game goers. Considering its size and the line, we did not wait an unreasonable amount of time to order and then receive our food. Everyone orders at the counter so you have to go through one at a time and wait for everyone before you to decide their orders. The food is then called out and you have to go get it. This system probably helped our situation and made things move faster. I got their signature turtle, which is basically a large crunch wrap, with chicken served southwest style. It was awesome but very large! We were going out after and did not want to carry leftover boxes, so I ate it all and kind of regretted it after. But I simply could not stop cause the food was so good! The prices are also fair and they have plenty of beer and cocktails to offer from their bar. I would love to come back here on a quieter night so we can sit and enjoy the food wholly, perhaps with a beverage as well.

Service: 4.7/5 Very friendly! They course out your plates for you which I always love. They were able to accommodate my pescatarian diet (I.e., meats on the side to give to others at the table). On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot! There are also a couple larger crescent booths for larger parties.
