NO BUFFET. NO LUNCH specials for the weekend. NO drink menu. I think many people there don't speak English. There was an overpowering smell of laundry detergent. There was no food smells from cooking in the dining area. I only went because I saw chowdown posts about a buffet. The god was good. I didn't read the details of my meal and expected beans and rice with my meal but I was supposed to choose between the two but the server didn't ask. The meat was very tender and flavorful. The seats are comfortable. The menu is huge! Every meal I saw pass by looked very appetizing. Many drinks are in slushie machines in the bar. You already know that every Mexican restaurant has margaritas, but there was nothing in the menu not a separate menu and we were seated close to the foot nowhere near the bar and there want a bartender present. read more

Eh, not super awful but way better options in Milford and on the Eastside in general. Ambiance: typical Mexican restaurant design, restrooms were kind of gross. While waiting for the restroom in the hallway, I noticed there was a good amount of water coming out of the kitchen from the corner of the wall. Service: very attentive, several people checked in multiple times throughout our dinner to offer refills/general check ins. Food: my guest's meal originally came out wrong but they fixed it. The salsa was not special at all, no spice/minimal flavor. Chimichanga was okay, not packed with flavor and mostly just chicken. Toppings of sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce were not exciting. Rice and beans not bad but not great. Very mediocre meal. Oreo churros were good thanks to the fresh strawberries. I did love the horchata! Likely wouldn't return. read more

This is an average traditional Mexican restaurant. The food was ok but not great. It took a while for our food to arrive (lunch-time crowd, keep this in mind if you are on a limited time lunch break from work). Daughter had the enchilada and taco combo: chicken in the enchilada was very good but everything else was sub par - the taco meat seemed like it was very tired, maybe sat in the pan too long and got over cooked and dry. Hubs said his enchilada plate was very average. My order seemed to be the best: chicken tortilla soup. It was huge - could have served a family of 4! - and served piping hot. The broth, tortillas and chicken were outstanding -- nicely tangy and delicious. It was packed with vegetables which was great. But, the broccoli, cauliflower and carrots were clearly frozen instead of fresh (had that odd watery taste that frozen veggies have). This soup had such an outstanding base and flavor it would have been absolutely stellar with fresh veggies. This was actually the second time we've been here, the first about a year ago. I remember we loved it back then and were happy with our meals. I don't know what changed, but I'm hoping they'll improve because I really want to like this place. Server was pleasant. A coupon book I purchased from my little niece brought me back this time. They put a coupon for buy a meal get one equal value for free. We ordered a cheese dip, the burrito Jalisco, and chimichanga special, with waters to drink. The bill was $43 even with the coupon. The inconvenient part is the bill wasn't itemized. Let me start of by saying this is a great Mexican restaurant in the Nati. Yes we have so many to choose from with so many different styles and different types of Mexican food. We have visited this restaurant at least 10-15 times. I have tried at least 8 or more different menu items. Each and every time it is a better menu item. Burritos I have tried e everyone and the California is my 1A... the Hot Spicy is 1B... you get the picture. So head east to Milford Ohio on Milford parkway in a strip mall and give this place a try. I was surprised that I haven't done a review of this spot before but it looks like I have; 5 years ago. So time for another. I've been here at least a dozen or more times. I could never get on board because I've never been a huge Mexican food fan. (Boooo, don't throw tacos at me!) But I've made a turn around. If I'm going to eat local Mexican grub, this is going to be my go-to. This and Cazadoras. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. They don't really advertise it but they offer a Sunday brunch buffett....you can NOT go wrong with that choice. This has quickly become my favorite local spot for my Mexican food fix. The food is awesome, service excellent and restaurant is well decorated and clean. Oh and the margaritas and salsa are quite tasty! Tonight I had the tacos I got one each, chicken and beef. The chicken was full of flavor but the beef was just avg but I recognize I ordered somewhat of a plain basic dinner. So I didn't have real high expectations on this one. First visit to Dos Amigos, 4 stars. I got the most Americanized menu item on the menu, Chicken Chimichangas. They were good, but they had a lot more authentic menu items. More about the restaurant, service was great! Much like Dewey's, I call it "Swarm Service," where anyone walking past your table sees that you need anything, they take care of it on the spot. So during my meal, I interacted with probably 5-6 different staff members checking in, but not intrusively. The guy bringing out the food literally ran through the dining room to get the food out in a timely manner. I'm not talking a "brisk walk," but more of a full-on sprint! He wanted that food on your table still steaming! Another thing that kind-of blew me away: this suburban strip-mall Mexican restaurant in Ohio has Shrimp Ceviché and Oysters on the menu, as well as Lobster dishes. The place was clean and updated, the service was excellent and our meals (and margarita) were tasty. We both ordered basic Mexi fare but their menu seemed to have a lot more updated types of dishes and not all stodge. We'll definitely go back and try something new. read more

The food was okay. It wasn't gross but it wasn't fantastic. The salsa was more heat than flavor. The guacamole had little to no flavor. The shrimp in my fajitas were over cooked. I probably could have played bouncy ball with them. The service was not good. It was almost non existent. I was seated, he took my drink order, brought my chips and salsa and my food. I got the Pollo Poblano and it was amazing. I added grilled pineapple to it which made it even better. Lots of good flavors and fresh veggies. Huge portion, and I'm taking home everything pictured. Usually love this place, however COVID19 procedures aren't being followed -at all. Employees wear face masks but that's about it. Sign on door says face masks required. Hardly anyone coming in is wearing one and no enforcement. No spacing between tables. You sit in the restaurant exactly as you did prior to COVID. Business as usual. Watched server clean tables. Take Out Challenges... Our family is long time patrons of Dos Amigos. Great food, people and service. Before I make this comment, I do recognize that we are experiencing challenging times. My comments are related to a consistent experience we've had the last three times we've ordered and picked up take out. 1) At ordering we've been told an amount of time that our order would be ready. For example, our most recent visit we were told that our order would be ready in 15 minutes. However, our order was ready in 45 minutes. Again, this has been a consistent experience. Suggestion to owner:. Establish honest expectations with your customers. We'd rather have you under promise and over deliver. 30 minutes would've been a more acceptable time for me to show up. Also, remember that during this time you don't want more customers than you need hanging around the front of your store waiting for both take-out and for those eating in, to be seated. 2). The store has come across as being disorganized. As I waited for my take out order (over 30 minutes) I made several observations. Again, I understand the times we are in and the time that I was there was prime time. However, as Dos Amigos is experienced with Saturday night volume, this isn't excuse for inability to handle volume. During this time in the store, 30 minutes, not one seated customer was served food and not one person waiting in line was seated. I saw a number of customers walk in, wait for 10 or 15 minutes with no attention given by host or wait staff, so they turned around and walked out. As I opened this review stating that I really love this food and people. However, if Dos Amigos cannot figure out it's service issues, people are going to go elsewhere. I'm hopeful that Dos Amigos improves it's service issues that it remains a successful restaurant. read more

Bad experience ! First, the queso dip we ordered tasted off . Returned it . Food took forever to get and had to ask about it . When it arrived , one order was wrong and other was cold . Staff didn't seem to care . No apology and in fact they were rude . Margs weren't even good ! Maybe a bad night , but think more than that .
