    Chicken Philly Cheesesteak Burrito
    Teri E.

Met a friend here for lunch on 6/7. We were seated immediately. Chips and salsa were on the table within 30 seconds. The server was pleasant and took our drink orders. Beer was cold. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak burrito with chicken. My friend got the same thing with steak. The food was out in less than 10 minutes. It looked great and was fresh. I'd order it again, for sure. The restaurant was clean, the staff were welcoming, and the food was very good. I'll be back!

It wasn't really busy when we walked in, but it took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge us and seat us. And then even longer for someone to come and take our order. Food was good. Restaurant seemed clean.

We stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner after walking around at the Pumpkin Run car show. I can't remember what the dish with the half pineapple is called but it was delicious! The street corn awesome too!! Even the chips and salsa here are flavorful. We will definitely eat here again and order this menu item. See my attached pictures

I usually get take out from here and it's always DELICIOUS! I get the chicken and cheese nachos and they load it up! Every bite is so good and food is hot! Service is always very fast and staff are always very welcoming! Definitely recommend El Rancho Grande Eastgate!

My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch - early dinner today, Saturday 20 July. I forgot to check in while we were sitting there however, I still wanted to put in a review and the pictures of our meal. Fairly dead at 2:30 PM; however, thought our beverages and food were very good. We open with margaritas. An ultimate margarita for me and the happy hour jumbo margarita for my wife. We were truly surprised and how decorative they were, complete with rubber ducks and flashing bulbs. We added a order of guacamole with the complementary chips and salsa. Though I've had better salsa. This wasn't too bad. The guacamole was spot on. My wife went with their 3 inch chicken enchilada dinner with all rice while I decided on the Tres Del Mar. our meals came out relatively quickly. My wife's enchiladas were huge filled with large amounts of shredded chicken breast. My dish was amazing with grilled tilapia, shrimp with pico de gallo, and sautéed lobster chunks. Absolutely delicious! The place was starting to fill up by the time we were leaving. The restaurant itself was well kept and clean and my wife noted the ladies room was kept up as well.

A serious disappointment in Eastgate area. The service was abysmal. Our waitress didn't seem to know anything about the menu or much of anything. I'm pretty lenient but this was awful. We had to ask three times to get water for four people. She brought out one glass, got offered when we asked for water for everyone and brought a second glass then we had to track down someone else to get two more glasses. We had ordered a margarita sampler for the table (definitely get this with a group). There are almost no vegetarian options which is surprising for Mexican cuisine. We asked for guacamole for the table and got a small cup of plain avocado. When we questioned this she tried to say it was guacamole. Umm...no. You have to ask for rice, etc in addition to most plates (extra charges) which again is very unusual for Mexican restaurants. A hard pass for us.

My fav Mexican restaurant! Always has great food, service, and atmosphere. The chicken fajita with extra sour cream is my go to.

    Ranchero soup.. must try

This is an update to my previous review which was not a positive experience or review. Way to go to make your food and the experience better the chips and salsa are better. I enjoyed the Ranchero soup which is normally on the lunch menu.. ask they will accommodate you during dinner hours. This was amazing with the best flavors mixed in a heavily mix in a bowl.

The margarita sampler was a bit spendy but good ($40 for 5). Chips and salsa brought quick to the table, but had to ask for guacamole. The server brought something she called guac salad that was just avocado mashed up. When she brought actual guac it was okay enough tho with four of us, some plates would be nice. Our entrees came quick but all could have used a little more salt ... and none of the tables had salt or paper on them. All told, the place was okay enough to come back and give it another try.

It's been years since I've eaten here. Mostly because I have my favorite local place. However, this is my picky daughters favorite so now I've been here twice in the last couple months. It's the only Mexican restaurant where she doesn't order kids tenders. Lol. I must say the service here is excellent! Very attentive. The chicken fajitas were good. Chicken could use more seasoning and the tortilla shells were a little hard/crunchy like they were overheated in the foil pack but the veggies were cooked perfectly. The chicken rice bowl is a very good option on the lunch menu.

Pretty stellar Mexican feast! Portions were generous and food was on par for your standard Mexican cuisine. Service was fast and friendly. Will be back for sure.

Cheese Steak Burrito lunch special delicious!

Stopped by for lunch with a friend on a Wednesday, we were both wanting to sit outside and enjoy the early spring weather, so we enjoyed our lunch outside on their patio to ourselves, no one else was sitting outside. Our waiter welcomed us, gave us menus and brought out chips & salsa. Their salsa is some of the wateriest (is that even a word) salsa it was so runny like water, it seemed like they watered it down. I enjoy some thick, chunky salsa with any Mexican restaurant I visit. My friend selected the chimichanga lunch special with one chimichanga, rice and guac salad, she enjoyed her meal. I went with the cheese steak burrito with rice and beans. My burrito was just the right size for lunch and was delicious with grilled veggies. The rice was seasoned well and beans were fine. Then we went to leave and couldn't get an answer if our waiter was to come get our checks or to take to the counter, as we were on the patio and the only ones there. The lunch was okay, but there are better choices in town.

This rating should have been a solid 5 stars. The food, presentation, and atmosphere are incredible. I enjoyed the frozen strawberry margarita, and my boyfriend had a Modelo. The only issue was the service- our server was very short, and never cracked a smile. When we asked the host to sit on the patio, she started walking away and acted annoyed we had a seating preference. When the server dropped off our check, he set it down and walked away and didn't say a word. Other than the non-hospitable wait staff, our dinner was delicious!

This place is packed every table filled even with covid-19. The food sucks. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the margaritas.

There was a DJ & a dance floor, but very few people were dancing, which was disappointing. The place itself was cool with colorful lights & fun graffiti-like walls, but the aesthetic was let down by the lack of people. We enjoyed the free popcorn & I really liked my drink, the downside up, although I realize it's probably too sweet for most. Unfortunately, the cocktail & popcorn didn't make up for the dead atmosphere & we left pretty quickly. I would be interested in going again & seeing what it would be like when it's lively; I imagine it would be a fun spot when the dance floor is full!

It was a nice night so we took advantage of being able to sit outside. I love all the random art and set up of the back. To drink I had the chunker, which was gin in a San Pelegríno it was a very refreshing drink! Deceptively doesn't taste like alcohol. I noticed some people with white claws and little airplane bottles so naturally I have to have a strong claw as well. We also had some very tasty shots, all around we had a good time, just hanging out and enjoying drinks, can't wait to come back here and visit again!

Food: 5/5 Dishes are explained as slightly larger plates than tapas style. My favorites: Wood Grilled Octopus, Crispy Falafel, Bouillabaisse. Love the Moroccan Mint Tea as well! Service: 4.7/5 Very friendly! They course out your plates for you which I always love. They were able to accommodate my pescatarian diet (I.e., meats on the side to give to others at the table). On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot! There are also a couple larger crescent booths for larger parties.
