So much food! Veggie fajitas came with tortillas (expected), rice, beans, and guacamole salad!
Lee D.

Hungry after a long day of driving, we were surprised to not find a lot of dining choices. 6 pm on a Saturday and I expected a wait but the restaurant has a lot of seating and we were seated immediately. Hot chips and salsa were served right away. Hubby had the Enchiladas Suiza with pork and I had the veggie fajitas. I asked for no mushrooms and expected to hear that was not possible but it was no problem. Food came lightning fast! We both enjoyed our dinners and is typical of Mexican restaurants, could not finish! Reasonably priced - dinner for two, two beverages, tax, and tip was just over $40

Enchiladas Tapitias

The food arrive quickly after order, the cheese enchilada was meh, the chicken and beef enchiladas were pretty good. This is a popular place on the Eastside so the ambiance is ok but it can get loud. The service was really good even though our guy was working the bar too. I've spent a ton of time in Texas and Mexico, so I've had top shelf Tex-Mex and Mexican food. This is not top shelf but probably as good as you're gonna get in Ohio.

Great portions for the price, food was amazing some of the best Mexican I've had(I used to work in the southwestern USA a lot). Service was awesome as well. Mine was so unappetizing that I couldn't eat it. Got a box to go and then forgot it on the table when I left. I ordered the Enchiladas Suiza. It comes with green sauce. Not mine. It was served with melted cheese and a couple of pieces of canned green chilies were sprinkled under the cheese. I've had this elsewhere and know what to expect. Also, their menu here shows the green sauce that is typical for the dish and it mentions the green sauce in the description. The chicken pieces were dry, unseasoned and very chewy. The tortillas were gooey. My husband's Coconut Shrimp was so overcooked that it was hard to bite into and hard to chew. The rice with it was terrible. The mango salsa served with the shrimp was the only decent item on the plate. He left most of his food also. We won't return. We gave this place three tries. It's just not good food. The service was friendly and quick. It's the only thing positive about this restaurant.

We were greeted warmly and led to a cozy table in the back. Our waitress was super friendly and bubbly, but also patient as we took a while to determine what we want. This is a place you unfortunately have to pay for your chips and salsa, but it is worth. The chips come fresh and the salsa is so good! We also tried the Rincon dip, which was warm, cheesy, gooey, and had great flavor. They have a really good queso. My friend got one of their burritos and I got the fajita quesadilla with chicken. With your entree you get to pick your sides, so we both got mexican salad and I got refried beans, while she got black beans. Everything was awesome! I should've expected to love that quesadilla as much as I did after enjoyed the queso in the Rincon dip, but I will still blown away. The chicken was well seasoned, the cheese was great and there was a good amount, and the veggies were fresh and really added to the quesadilla. My friend loved the burrito and couldn't finish it because it was so much food. We also both got margaritas, which are a little pricey, but we enjoyed them a lot! I have found my new favorite mexican place in the area. The service was great, the prices are comparable to other places around, and the food is much better! You also get a discount at the register if you pay with cash (so plan in advance). I highly recommend coming here!

This used to be one of the top 3 Mexican restaurants in the city decades ago. Nice people and workers. Just bad management.

It has been posted up in front of the Marathon gas station on old 74 for a bit now. If you were driving by you might miss it, but the buzz surrounding it was so much so, that I just had to try them out. The first time I stopped by was around 3pm on my way home and several other people were also in line. The very kind owner instantly greeted me and explained what they had that day. He took my order and they got to work. The people already waiting raved about the place and were super friendly. Everyone, including the staff, chatted and it made the wait go by quick. I ordered the chicken tacos, and the carnitas tacos. The owner had recommended just 2, but I had been accustomed to quite small tacos at other places so I got 4. Boy was he right, they were so packed full of meat that I could barely finish two! The other two made a great second meal at a later time! The corn tortillas were delicious and very authentic. Each succulent and very flavorful meat was topped with onions, cilantro and your choice of green, red, or hot sauce or all of the above. For my first time the owner recommended I try each separately with the hot sauce on the side. Also included was fresh lime and a grilled poblano pepper. Everything was amazing and I can confidently say this is the best authentic tacos I have ever had, anywhere. I cant say I have a favorite sauce because they each have sensational flavor, including the hot sauce. One try and I was hooked. I started following them on Facebook to catch certain days where they had special tacos, such as steak (which cost a tiny bit more due to the quality of the steak meat). The steak was just as amazing. They also serve breakfast. The second time I visited I did not know the extra cost until I received my order. Since it is cash only, I did not have enough. A kind person in line, who also shared the addiction to this spot, gifted me the $2 I was short. I hope to pay this forward in the future at another visit to my magical friendly neighborhood taco dealer! This isnt just great food, its an experience full of great people... who are also observing covid safety despite being outside btw.

The music is present, the flavors are layered, and the food arrives with the clear intention of proving itself. And it does. I found myself here with my wife, and within moments our mouths were carried, without warning, to a land of fire and seasoning what the bards call Flavor Town a realm long spoken of by Lord Guy himself, as the realm has long whispered. I ordered the rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. The corn was excellent, and the chicken tasted as though it had been roasted beneath a wyvern's watchful eye, emerging impossibly juicy and demanding a pause after the first bite. This is food that expects to be noticed. The mashed potatoes, however, I cannot defend. They must be banished. They reminded me uncomfortably of the fare one finds at the Golden Arch Tavern present, edible, and entirely forgettable. Even a hall that proves itself must answer for such lapses. Still, the greater portion of this feast was strong, memorable, and well made. I would rather forgive a weak side than forget a great main, and this hall earns its return. By the decree of Lord Foodist, I grant this feast 7.8 out of 10 gold pieces. -- The Food Lord, House of Golden Tongue
