6/15/2025. Visited Los Cabos finally after getting rave reviews from a friend. The initial greeting and seating was very prompt and friendly. Everywhere I looked was clean and well organized. Restroom was also clean and well stocked . Ambiance was OK and in my opinion better than the Hispanic restaurants that go overboard in their decor. The reason for the average rating is that the food was just average. This place will not be on my radar for my next Hispanic outing. read more

My boss and I were trying to find a good Mexican restaurant near Anderson Township that we hadn't tried yet when I remembered this spot in Amelia. I've driven by it a few times but never got to check it out. Overall, it turned out to be a really good place too. We went on a Thursday for lunch and it was moderately busy. The place itself is pretty big and has lots of seating though nothing outside. Their bar area is pretty big too. The menu has what you'd expect from a locally owned Mexican restaurant and their libations menu seemed pretty nice (especially the margaritas, though I couldn't indulge since I was still on the clock). Our server was fantastic and very attentive. We started out with some chips and guac. Honestly, I felt the guacamole could've been better. I felt it lacked much flavor but it was very fresh. As for our main courses, I ordered the Los Cabos enchiladas (ground beef on corn tortillas) and my boss ordered the fajita taco salad. It wasn't a long wait at all before it was all ready. I definitely enjoyed my enchiladas and thought the sauce was very tasty. My boss seemed to like his taco salad too and was surprised by how big it was. Seriously, it looked like an extra-large taco made for a giant! Also, the price was very nice. Asside from the guac, everything here was excellent, though I'm curious to try one of their margaritas if I stop by again, likely with my lady. Maybe we'll dine here before checking out a movie at Starlite Drive-in and make it a full date night (don't tell her I'm planning this ). read more

Love love LOVE this place! I know there are several good places around this area that can help calm the cravings monster when it's in the mood for Mexican... but this is always my go-to! Be it the simple fact that they give you an option to choose either pinto or black refried beans, or maybe their amazing margaritas that come in so many fun, fresh (and absolutely delicious) flavors... Date night for the hubs and I. We thought we'd try something different and boy were we pleased! Service was great! Thanks to Josue. The start is simple enough, much like most Mexican restaurants, chips and salsa are an automatic. The salsa had a little kick to it...which I like. I ordered the guacamole...that was real good. Balanced taste, chunky, creamy...I highly recommend it. I had the Los Cabos fajitas. These were a nice blend of the usual deluxe style fajitas ingredients, but with chorizo added...not the usual flavor palette. I finished mine...barely and the others with me, needed a box. Even with these social distancing dinners out, this one was one of the better ones that I have had. The atmosphere is nice, service is friendly and the food, well, abundant. We absolutely love Los Cabos food and employees. We ate there once a week and it is always consistent as a great experience. We haven't been there for a while because of our work schedule we eat at 11:30, they now open at noon. But we sure miss it. read more

Senior Sapo hung up phone when trying to place an order. Called again second time Senoir Sapo didn't hang up but sounded angry. These people dont like you. Dont eat there. They only want your Dinero. Then after you post a bad review on google maps my phone recieves spam messages for the first time and my car gets knifed at the local parking lot coincidence? Maybe... Amelia is a big small town. Got some one on camera next time its a police report. Ive placed 3 orders in 2 years, never liked the place after the last order will never go there again and my car is a work vehicle. Its insured, not worried about it. but Sr. Sapo has the cartal attitude. No Bueno. You dont blame some one for ither a waitress or some 1 elses mistakes. This is my least favorite Mexican place in a while. Usually these places are very similar. Decor is mostly the same and the menu is not usually very notable and Los Cabos seemed to fit in with what I've experienced in that area initially but after ordering and observing the surroundings it became clear this place did not live up to the expectations I had. It's not that the food here was "bad" necessarily, its just not all that great. The quesadilla my friend ordered was crunchy and the cheese was barely melted. The service was pretty poor even at 4pm on a Wednesday with very little folks inside. It was just... not horrible...but quite frankly...not very good either. I didn't walk out of here angry or upset about anything. I just knew I wouldn't come back here. read more

This reminds me of what midwesterners thought was Mexican food in the 1980s. I had a Carnitas burrito that came out topped with hard sour cream and shredded Monterey Jack cheese. Both look like they came directly from the grocery store. 95% of the plate was covered with sloppy refried beans and Mexican rice. If you want to meal of rice and beans this is your spot. read more

I have visited this place before. We were sat right away. We did need a little extra time to order since the menu us humongous. I like the pictures on the menu. We ordered the queso on the side which was really going. It kinda tears like Velveeta, but white. Yummy. The food took forever. We ate two orders of salsa and chips before the food ever arrived. I wondered if it was just us, but everyone in our section was eating chips and drinking margaritas without their food orders. Everyone in our area seemed to have a problem with their food. One of them didn't want cheese another didn't want sausage another wanted the burrito deep fried but ordered the wrong thing. Even through all the mishaps or waitress was very courteous with a smile on her face and never ignored us. We had a really good margarita there, they have so many flavors and are made with different liqueurs. One of them even comes with a shot in the side. I basically want to plagiarize Kimberly J's review of Los Cabos because it is a perfectly accurate description of my experience here. No, my husband and I didn't walk out of LC angry or upset, but it was definitely my least favorite Mexican place in a long time. I think I jinx my husband's dining experiences, since typically this is what happens: He eats several times at a place and loves it (usually at lunch time, and with a co-worker). He wants to bring me along for dinner and the experience and/or food is awful. This is dinner at Los Cabos in a nutshell. I was craving some greasy, cheesy, crunchy, salty, saucy naughty mom-and-pop type Mexican grub and he wanted to take me to LC. I was a little put off since I was starving and didn't see why we needed to drive all the way to Amelia for a Mexican food fix, but I figured hey, if it's good maybe it'd be worth it (here's looking at you, Indian Bistro). The restaurant was very busy on a Friday night so we had a little bit of a wait. However, it's a large restaurant and they seated us fairly quickly. The staff was friendly but MAN, the wait for our food was long! We waited 1 hour + 45 minutes for two fajita entrees! We munched on chips (very bad queso, basically a glob of melted American cheese) and sipped margiis which helped pass the time and hunger pains, but yes, it took over 1.5 hours to get our food delivered (and our friendly server went suspiciously MIA during our wait, like he knew our food was taking forever and was trying to avoid us). What bothered me the most about my entrée was that (1) the beans and rice were COLD, so cold that the melted cheese was hardened and had that greasy, plastic-y thing going on (like the kitchen portioned out the sides in advance of finishing the fajitas); and, (2) I ordered chicken fajitas and requested that they sub out the bacon for chorizo. I literally got two tiny chunks of chicken and the rest of the fajitas were a chewy lump of un-appetizing chorizo. I love chorizo, and this chorizo was nasty, it was chewy and mushy and unrecognizable as meat. Because the color and texture of the chorizo was so odd, I was afraid to eat it because I couldn't tell if it was cooked or not! So Los Cabos was a no-go for me. read more

Ordered pick up of Los Cabos food for the first time. I ordered the Burrito Del Mar. We requested no sour cream for the top of it but they still put the sour cream sauce on it, which I did not like. The burrito had a lot of onions in it. The rice that was ordered was cold and had no flavor. If I closed my eyes I could have sworn that was plain white rice. The chips were good. My husbands meal came with a good amount of steak but the sauce was so-so. It was not really worth the $25 we paid for the two meals. read more

It's been a while since I've eaten here and oh my how it has gone down hill. The server just threw my drink in front of me. When the food arrived it looked like it came out of a microwave. The edges of my enchiladas were so hard I could not eat them. The food was flavorless and to steal a quote from my husband "the food had no soul". Picked up a carryout order tonight and I am completely pissed off. I placed my order online at 5:40, received an email saying my order would be ready at 6:33. I live about 15 minutes away and left my house at 6:05 to make sure I was there when my food was ready. Right as I left my house I get a call from them saying my order was ready. I already knew I would have cold food. When I get home I find that one of the main items was missing from the bag so I called them. The girl that answered the phone spoke to the owner who she said put my order together and he told her to tell me that it was in the bag. It wasn't! I have eaten there many times and it never takes almost an hour to get your food. The dining room can be packed and your food is there in no more than 10 minutes. If their carryout service is this bad and the owner rude enough to argue, I would suggest not doing carryout. I won't go there for a long time now and will never do carryout again! read more

One of my go-to Mexican restaurants. The drink menu is impressive. I love all the margarita flavors. The meals are good, but not the best in the area. They still keep me coming back for more. We are a big fan of the queso dip. My son could live off of it if we let him. The staff is extremely friendly and the service is always quick. We've never had to wait for more than 5-10 minutes with the exception of Cinco de Mayo. Definitely worth the trip! read more

Went there for the first time last night, and besides the confusion about where to sit me and my b/f [table, booth, next to this party, a less filled-section, etc] it was a good experience. The hostess was very apologetic about having us move around, so I wasn't too bothered by it. Our waitress was nice, gave us enough time to look through the menu without pestering us. The chips and salsa were good, as was the queso dip we ordered. Food tasted great. I had a shrimp burrito [the special that night] and the b/f had a steak fajita burrito. They didn't skimp on stuffing the burritos at all, they were packed. The overall atmosphere was nice. The only con I have is when it came to the salsa and queso, yes, they were good, but runny. It took the queso forever to thicken up so it would stay on the chip. read more

Came in to grab a few drinks and some Mexican food. Server was nice but rarely at our table. Asked for no cheese sauce on chimichanga. It came out with cheese sauce. I apologized and sent it back, confirming I'd requested no sauce. Server didn't seem too happy, and 2 mins later the plate came back out with the cheese sauce (mostly) wiped off the plate and the chimichanga. The server seemed to have an issue with me not being happy at it being just wiped off and still having made the chimi soggy as well and it almost felt uncomfortable refusing it. Aside from this the food wasn't bad and my main issue was the cheese sauce just being wiped off partially. Not v professional. read more

We love Los Cabos! Best Mexican food in the area. Try the Taco salad. It's my favorite.

I traveled nearly 40 minutes to dine-in for lunch. The host was wonderful and all of the patrons were wearing masks, but the food was great. I'm a foodie and was impressed with their food. The salsa, queso and guacamole dip are made in-house and you can tell. I had a veggie chimichanga that was very tasty. I don't drink so I can't review their drinks, but I give Los Cabos 5+ stars.
