Great margaritas! Good atmosphere. Good food and great service. I'd recommend it for a casual night out.

So, you probably know, from previous posts, that I am a big fan of this place. Tonight, reaffirms it. I am branching out across their menu. Tonight, Burrito Loco. Aside from the massive size of this creation, it is packed with chicken and steak, tomatoes and other goodies, covered in lettuce, guacamole and white queso. Served piping hot with rice. WOW, what a meal. From the fresh made salsa, quick service and fresh food, this place is awesome...and so are all the people that work here. When on the East side of town (Amelia or 5 Mile) give it a try. read more

Food was a little pricey and I was slightly disappointed it wasn't traditional Mexican but rather a slight Tex-Mex spin on actual Mexican cuisine. I ordered tamales and expected them to come out in a corn husk. They came out on a plate smeared and some sort of green salsa. They actually weren't too bad I'll have to say. read more

I have been coming here since they opened, and it has never been a disappointment. Even after moving away for 2 years they still remembered me! My 2 favorite menu items are the Burrito Barzon and the Nachos Carbon. Both are quite filling with tons of flavor. read more

Not the best Mexican place I have ever eaten at, but I lived in Texas for quite a while, so they have a lot to live up to. I will get my one complaint out of the way, the food is sometimes inconsistent. I normally order fajitas and a couple of times they came with a ton of vegetables and very little meat. I prefer it the other way around. But they usually have it pretty well balanced. Our service has always been good and everyone has been very friendly. Everything appears clean, the portions are good, and they make really good margaritas, frozen or on the rocks. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food then this probably isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for a good Mexican-ish meal with some good service I recommend Don Rigo. read more

we ordered takeout and ordered the ribeye steak meal. the steak was a joke of a piece of steak to charge $20 for it was a flimsy thin piece of meat and not only lacked in flavor. I had to spit it out it tasted so bad almost like the meat was rotten or spoiled. my kids ordered chicken quesadilla and it too was a joke and was completely tasteless. the California burrito looked disgusting and was drowning in an unidentified type of greasy looking sauce. if you're looking for anything close to Mexican tasting food you won't find it here. honestly don't know how they're in business. if I could give this place 0 stars I would. what a waste of money. read more

Yummy Tex Mex joint hidden next to the Kroger Marketplace. Great service, but really the show stopper here is the Margarita. Especially at happy hour! Clean and nice atmosphere. The Chimichanga platter was good, but not a wow. The Flan is housemade and really the best ive ever had! Huge menu, something for everyone! read more

Don Rigo is our go to for Mexican when we want more of a sit down. Their fajitas are quite good. I had the Don Rigo's fajitas and my son the fajitas Texana. Both have a decent amount of steak, chicken and shrimp with a slight variation on the vegetables. Other members of the party had quesadillas and there were no complaints. The medium frozen margarita was very good and quite enough. Service is attentive and friendly with decent prices. read more

Seems like every time we go service and food goes downhill. Last time we went in the server put the food on the table ACROSS from us and it was cold We asked for more salsa and she said yes but filled salt shakers at other tables. Never did get it. Tried calling owner next day but whoever answered laughed and hung up. read more

They were very busy, food came out really fast. The server was very friendly. The restaurant was clean and well maintained.

Pretty typical Mexican restaurant that really hit the spot. Service was good, value was ok, and the food was excellent. Margarita's aren't the best but they have the BEST taco salads. The salsa is really tame, but they give you an assortment of hot sauces at the table. The atmosphere is certainly Mexican-restaurant-style but not the the gaudy extent some are. It also looks very "new" and clean inside. Don't hesitate to give it a try! Only missed 5 stars because of the margaritas. read more

When this place first opened the food and service were good. The last time we went the rice had changed and was horrible. The refried used to be homemade but they must have switched to canned because it wasn't good. my family and myself frequent this restaurant. what happened today I am not sure I will ever walk back in there. My self and my daughter go in get seated waiter finally comes takes our drink order and my daughter orders a small queso. Waiter brings our drinks drops them off and walks away. He then comes back to ask if we are ready to order. I said can we get the queso. He then proceeds to look at me and say no. He wasn't bringing it because they last time we were in there we did not tip him nothing but a dollar. And they work for tips and he doesn't feel we have done him right in the past. needless to say my mouth fell open. I have always tipped my waiters and I looked at him and said that isnt the way to get a tip by trying to reprimand me. I ask for the manager of course this is his day off. My daughter and myself decide to leave that was horrible embarrassment. The waiter then tries to go to another table near us and apologize for his actions only he did not know that was my brother. He then just put his head down and walked away. I will be calling tommorrow to talk to Juan. That waiter needs to be fired immediately. My family and I were here 2 weeks ago. We came late in the afternoon. The restaurant is usually very busy in the evenings, so this was the perfect time to come. There was not many people in the restaurant all together. We have been here before for lunch and dinner and our service as well as our food was amazing. Covid has been with us for nearly a year which seems to me to be an adequate amount of time to get your act together. This place is busy all the time yet they have one girl running the register, seating people and answering the phone. It's ridiculous. And there is absolutely zero social distancing and minimal mask wearing. Plus, they pack your food to go and it slops all over the bag -things aren't sealed tightly, orders are not accurate and often items are missing. I won't go back. read more

Don Rigo's has gone downhill. I use to love this place, when I first moved back to OH I thought "Finally, a Mexican restaurant around here with good food and service!" That was last year and I must have just come on a good night that time because since then the food has been "okay" and the service has been worse with every visit. I tend to be an optimistic person and even willing to overlook slow service if the food is good. This last time was my last straw, my family will never go there again and I will make sure to let my friends know the same. This last visit the bathroom floor was so slick that it felt like someone freshly waxed the floor. My niece who is 2 slipped and got a horrible bump on her head within minutes. You would think that Don Ringo's would have an incident report to fill out for this....nope and when we brought his up their answer was the manager isn't here. Keep in mind that I was holding my niece's hand so she was not running. When the person in charge (not manager) came in to look at the bathroom he kept pointing at the wet floor sign and almost fell himself! 1. Wet floor sign does not = a waxed floor. 2. The restaurant person who is supposed to wear slip resistant shoes almost fell down just as I almost did. To make the whole experience worse my partner and I both got food poisoning from the restaurant. He was better in 2 days, but I am going on almost a week without improvement....I even went to the doctor thinking maybe it was more than food poisoning. I didn't even eat meat, we both had salad for dinner there he had chicken on his salad. Long story short, I do not suggest going to this place. read more

I must say that when my server offered to go to the neighboring Kroger to get the ingredients for my Paloma, I was sold. They work as a team when it comes to table service, which I must say is prompt. The food is good and prices reasonable. We will be back! read more

This is NOT real Mexican food. Not even Tex-mex honestly. None of our food had any more seasoning than maybe salt and pepper. It actually saddens me that this is what a lot of people think Mexican food is supposed to be. Mexican food should have flavor and seasoning. These reviews are spot on. This place has really fast service and excellent food. We haven't ordered anything we didn't like. I hate to say this but my wife and I love this place even over our previous favorite Mexican restaurant and we don't have to set our parking brake from the car rolling anywhere. My only complaint is the lack of local craft beer. UPDATE: They have since added a number of local craft beers to their menu. I now have no complaints. I typically switch between a few different meals, and all are amazing. The Don Rigo Taco Salad is one of my favorites, and the Fajitas are amazing too. They char-grill everything perfectly. And they aren't expensive at all - such a great value in Amelia next to Kroger. The place is always clean and has fun decorations. Nice friendly staff. read more

My wife and I have been here many times. We have never been let down. We got the Parrilla for two. Oh my gosh, that is a lot of food! My five year old daughter actually ate most of her food and loved the refried beans. My twelve year old daughter devoured her meal. My 14 year old picky eater even enjoyed the food. Don's is delicious, but it's odd you have to order rice and beans, and any "extra toppings" separately. The burrito barzone is great.

The place is awesome. I've been there about 5 times and every time the food and service has been excellent. At my last visit I had a burrito with steak, chicken, and onions with chorizo, shrimp and some grilled pineapple on top. It was filling and most importantly tasted great! The prices are really good for the portions you get and the quality of the food that you receive. I have no problem recommending this restaurant to any one. read more
