Bought my first RV on Facebook Marketplace. I had no interest in buying from a dealership. I've heard the nightmare stories (no support, no service, lies, lemons, etc.). But when I was looking for a replacement for my Class A, Vacationland had the exact unit I was looking for listed at a great price. Worked with Noah and Joel to walk the unit. Had my own inspector come through. The gave us HOURS to pick through the unit with a fine-toothed comb; they never rushed us or hovered. Honestly, it was the integrity of the team that made the purchase a no-brainer Had to get some work done on it after purchase and worked with Mark and Mike. I don't have a single complaint. Mark treats me like an old friend every time he sees me; asks me about my kids, remembers their ages. Mike gave me a demonstration of the unit before I drove off in it. My First Impression was quite positive. I've recently become interested in Camping / RV'ing. I have no other previous experience with Camping, but common sense told me I would not enjoy sitting in a tent on a bleak, rainy day, like Abel does. My wife and I call him "Misery Camping" when we see him on YouTube. She has no interest in Camping *or* RV'ing - so I knew I'd want a teardrop with room for me and my dog. After a couple months of *very* diligent research, I've analyzed my Requirements (and sadly, my budget!), to determine which of many options "was best for me". Using that learning window, I emerged with nuCamp 650 as one of my "Prime Contenders". So, I got on Facebook, joined a couple of NuCamp Groups, and asked for the name of a RELIABLE local Dealer. The name "Vacationland, in Big Rock" kept turning-up, all with positive comments attached. Vacationland's website states they are Family Owned / Family Run - which is an absolute *must* for me, versus a "McRV Juggernaut" (especially one brand that Liz Amazing constantly calls-out on YT.) I drove myself out to Big Rock, and with a touch of trepidation (I'm a newbie!), went inside on a rainy Saturday afternoon. I was greeted by Joel, who sat down and looked-over my notes describing what I was looking for. I was honored (and proud of) the fact that he immediately mentioned the NuTab trailers - the same one I had honed my list to. He walked me out to the lot. He was helping another set of Customers, so he asked if I minded - I said "of course not!", and he left me with his permission to wander and explore anything I saw. So I checked out the 650's, taking videos and pictures, sitting by myself in the campers in the rain to gauge whether my claustrophobia would kick-in. It didn't, and Joel came back every 10 minutes or so to see how I was doing. His "being cool" with me just wandering around gave me the opportunity to collect data with NO PRESSURE - which in turn changed my requirements just a little bit - now to a 650 Black Canyon. Even more amazing (to me, anyway) - when I showed those videos to my "never ever camping Bride", she was intrigued, and said she'd accompany me on at least one trip, someday. THAT's Progress! I left Vacationland with a very good impression. Although I didn't buy anything on Saturday, I was not pressured to... and Joel's attitude told me an awful lot about the Dealership, too. While we did agree for the trailer to be picked up the disconnection and reconnection would be thousands of dollars! This is a brand new trailer with a defective window and I was left holding the responsibility to get a MANUFACTURER DEFECT resolved. Considering it's a brand new trailer there shouldn't be any leaks. My husband and I purchased a pop-up camper (Aliner Expedition) from Vacationland RV last week and were very pleased with the overall educational and purchase experience. Joel showed us the workings of the camper, and Mike was awesome with providing us with the full tutorial. He also made sure our new SUV was properly hooked up to the camper and recommended the Curt Echo Controller (Bluetooth) to assist in braking, for which we were very thankful. Absolutely love Vacationland! EVERYONE you meet has a smile on their face. No pushy salesman, zero pressure. You walk in the front door and you are greeted with a "Hello, how can I help?" Let them know what you need and they will point you in the right direction. You want to just look at their stock of campers? No problem, go on back. No pressure whatsoever. You have questions? Just ask! Joel was our salesman and he was awesome! He answered all our questions, even the "thingy" questions ;) Even when we didn't find what we exactly wanted in their used stock, Joel kept us in mind and stayed in contact when new inventory came in. Again, he never pressured us into feeling we had to purchase. Service was just as good. Mike helped us with our walk through (once we finally found what we were looking for in a used RV) and he was great. He made me feel comfortable asking questions about "thingamabobs" "thingamajigs" and the other "thingies." (Although, when the awning lights weren't turning off I told him to check the remote, and it turned out, it was a remote problem so I taught him something too ) Lastly, Andrew helped us with the brake and hitch install. He was very thorough and kind. All our questions were answered. He walked us through each step of set up. Great job overall! My husband and I stopped by here a couple times to pick up things for our RV while staying at the nearby campground. From the side of the road, the building looks like it's from the 70's. Inside is kind of similar but they sell all the current accessories and parts you need for your RV. Vacationland also does RV repairs, storage, propane tanks, and sells travel trailers, fifth wheels, pop-up campers, and those little campers you can put on the bed of a truck. We didn't buy one here, but had fun exploring a few open models. Friendly people too. Prices are OK. Not a bad little store when you don't have a Camping World nearby. read more

Wow, just had to give a different perspective to the previous reviewer. I bought 3 campers from Vacationland over the years and stored them at their lot each winter. I was always treated exceptionally well by their Sales and Service teams and would recommend them highly if they carry a particular RV you're interested in. I bought 2 of the trailers from Joe and he would always continue to greet me by name in the years afterwards when I'd come in the store. Their prices are usually bottom-line "no haggle" and much cheaper than any other dealer. No need to play games-- you simply pay the listed price. I also liked how open they were about letting you spend as much time as you wished alone touring the trailers. No pushy sales tactics-- they want you to be comfortable with your purchase. After the sale, their service manager, Mark, was always a joy to work with-- super knowledgeable, fun, and friendly. Their shop rates were very reasonable. I stored my trailers at their outdoor lot for 5 years and never had an issue with mice, although, some of the access roads would flood in the spring and be difficult to navigate (since the road was lower than the storage pads). I've since moved on to motorhomes, but if I were to want a trailer again, I'd have no hesitation from buying from Vacationland again. Great folks! read more

Experience with Vacationland in Big Rock started out good, but quickly went downhill. Tiffany who handles the title and registrations has made multiple errors. Here we are almost 3 months after purchase and she still hasn't submitted proper paperwork to the state for titling and registration. I called today to find out that no one will be checking the mail for Vacationland until January 3rd (5 weeks from now) and that there's no one else their to fix the issue. We have bought two campers from Joel at Vacationland in the past few years. For the second camper, Joel helped us handle everything via email since it is a bit of a drive to get to Big Rock. We got a great deal and ended up with a camper that is perfect for our family. On our first trip out, Mark saw I was having trouble getting the fridge to start on propane, and he took the time to help me and explain how to keep the issue from happening again. They also helped us through a few issues over the phone at no charge. This past Wednesday we went to pick up our camper from storage not realizing Vacationland isn't open on Wednesdays. I emailed Joel, and he texted Mark, who was spreading gravel in back. By the time Joel got back to me, Mark already had our camper hooked up and was towing it up to the front parking lot ON A DAY THEY WERE CLOSED! When we tried to buy his lunch, he refused to take our money. These people are some of the few that still understand how to do business. My wife and I had a pleasant buying experience. Elliot was a great help. The negotiations were friendly and stress free. There were a couple of things that needed fixed/replaced on our trailer, but no problems with that. One complaint we had/have, the trailer was not cleaned very well prior to delivery. Floor was dirty, sticker adhesive left behind and, lots of construction mess left. Aluminum shavings, from drilling or cutting, in all but one window tracks. Sawdust from finish work inside living area. You get the idea. Not a big deal really, but my wife spent a couple hours cleaning our brand new trailer as soon as we got home. A little disappointing. You would never take delivery of a brand new car this way, same standards should be observed with a luxury purchase. Right? read more

My POSITIVE feedback: They did the job, where it was finished completely and our truck had no scratches from the work. They were polite. My NEGATIVE feedback: We came here to get a cap put on the truck of our pickup, along with an adjustable rack on top. The first time I went, because they only do shop hours m-f 9a-5p, they told my husband, it would take 2-3 hours max to finish everything. We thought that was doable and I would just wait until they finished. I rearranged my scheudle for this. I got there at 9am and around noon, I thought I'd go stretch my legs and see how much longer. Our truck had been ready they told me and no one came and got me. That annoyed me right there, because I was the only customer waiting. So, I just wanted to pay up and leave. I got home that night and ny husband noticed they didn't even put the rack on. I don't know how I missed that. He called and Vacationland told him they forgot to order it. This put a bitter taste in our mouth about this place. We just played $2,000 and made a mistake about this!?!?! How can you charge someone and not even make sure it's 100% accurate? We were told once it came in. it would take an hour to put on. Again, I rearranged my schedule... When I get there, the shop said it would take 2-3 hours, because of the precision of the details. Plus, I heard 2 of the guys in rhe shop had no idea where the rack was. This again was very rude, because you shouldn't tell a customer one thing over the phone, then different in person. Then, if you can't find something and make it sound like it's lost, please be out of ear shot of the customer. Then we get to the third time, I come back, knowing it would be 2-3 hours for finishing this service. 3 hours rolls around and they said it would take a few more hours. Now, I am MORE than understandable that when mechanics work on vehicle engines, you may come across a problem you didn't anticipate, so it may take longer. HOWEVER, when you are putting on a piece to a vehicle, there shouldn't be a guessing game on time. I have a hard time believing this is the first time putting on a cap and a rack on a pickup. 1. They forgot to order the part, which is beyond ridiculous 2. They quoted us so many wrong times and wasted my valuable time. I know that everyone is busy, but I find time precious. They need to be more organized and get their stuff together to run a business. If it was going to take all day, they should've told us that in the first place. We feel like we should've been compensated money for all this trouble. The fact they didn't, shows me this is how they run their shop and we will never return to give them business again. We paid 2k out of pocket for this and we're very excited about this. They made this such a hassle and will find somewhere else next time we want work done. read more

We checked out another big RV sales place, but wanted to check out Vacationland as well because they had the model we were looking for. We greatly appreciated that Marisol showed us not only the camper we asked about, but also a couple others in the same weight range so we could compare. The best part was that after she showed us the three campers, she let us have free reign to browse at our leisure on our own without a salesperson breathing down our necks. When we came back to purchase the camper, Mike gave us a great walk though and explained everything and answered all our questions. I would have given them 5 stars, but some of the workers were either not wearing a mask or wearing them incorrectly, some communication slipped through the cracks about what we needed to bring insurance wise as well as the length of time it took to get our approval, and when we were shopping in the store, we felt pressure to buy things and when we asked a question about something, the worker constantly had to ask someone else about the answer. That's right: 5 stars. Though I have long been intrigued by classic travel trailers (and, more recently, "tiny home" living), I'm only a month into (mini-) motorhome ownership. Sure, I've done plenty of reading and learned a lot so far, but I really needed the assistance of those who've been in this rv/camper/trailer world for ages. I had a basic need to have my motorhome's LP (propane) system inspected and tested. I was clear about my need to keep costs to a minimum. Vacationland RV sells low end travel trailers. There used units are not clean. There storage facility is a mouse infested joke. They are not good to deal with and, like the slimy sales people they are, will make a verbal deal, then try to renege on the deal when its time to sign the papers. Joe is a very rude and insulting individual. He actually yelled at me for asking a question about the financing, and caught him in a lie. The best thing I can say is that because Joe made us walk out, now my wife and I are more educated about campers and travel trailers, and found a great deal on a travel trailer that is much better quality at a highly recommended dealer in Bartlet. DO NO BUY FROM VACATIONLAND. Remember you get what you pay for. read more
