First we would like to complement him on his presentation pointing out a couple of very minor cosmetic along all of the good. The coach was everything it was presented to be and we enjoyed our drive home. We would highly recommend Hometown RV, Tony Senior, Sue and Tony Junior were very knowledgeable, courteous customer focused. Here were the top annoyances: Air Conditioning - Broke completely in the middle of our July trip, the mechanic said it was quite old and missing some screws. It wasn't possible to fix on the road, so we had no AC for 4 days. Sensors - Many of the key sensors were inaccurate. Ex: black tank level, water level. This proved very challenging for first time RVers like us, who didn't have a feel for how often to empty or refill tanks. Door - The screen door was missing a piece of plastic, which created a hole for bugs to come in and the door itself required a VERY hard closure to latch. My kids could rarely do it themselves. Awning - Not functional; directions in troubleshooting book didn't match type of awning on our RV. Generator - Shut off inexplicably a few times. Mattress - VERY old and worn. Electrical panel - Literally kept closed with duct tape and wouldn't stay closed. Easy to accidentally turn things off. Privacy curtain - Held back with duct tape. Easily knocked open.

    The first thing we did upon arriving in Chicago was call the company to confirm a pickup time for…read moreour camper. Initially, we were told that it would be ready at 1:00 PM, but later they informed us it wouldn't be available until 3:00 PM. No apology or compensation was offered for this change. Regardless, we decided to arrive early and be on time. We got there at 2:30 PM and unfortunately had to wait until 6:30 PM -- a total of three and a half hours -- to receive the camper. To make matters worse, we were informed at the moment of pickup that the two kits we had added to our reservation -- the bedding kit (which included towels, sheets, pillows, etc.) and the kitchen kit (with plates, cutlery, glasses, etc.) -- were not available. They told us we would have to go to Walmart ourselves to buy all those items, because they "didn't have time" to prepare them. On top of that, the camper was damaged. They told us that the awning didn't work and that if we wanted one, we would have to buy it ourselves. The camper was also handed over with the toilet tank completely full, which we had to empty on our own. The water tank was not filled either -- they only took care of it after we pointed it out. Additionally, the generator failed to start on multiple occasions and only worked on the third attempt. This gave us no sense of confidence, and we left feeling anxious about potential issues during the trip. The staff were not friendly at all, and the service we received was far from professional. We felt neglected and poorly treated throughout the entire process. Our experience with this company was very disappointing. After having to go to Walmart to buy all the basic essentials that we were counting on, and after waiting over three hours to receive a damaged camper, we were unable to reach the campsite we had booked as our first stop. We had to spend the night in a parking lot in Chicago, which was a complete disaster. We are extremely dissatisfied and will not book with this company again, nor will we recommend it to others.

    Absolute worst company to do business with. We purchased our International Truck from them in…read more2019. We have had issues with the truck from time to time and most of the work was under warranty so we went to Rush for the repairs. Recently our truck had issues on a trip back from Wausau, WI. We were able to get the truck over to Rush without having to be towed. They had the truck for 3 days before they were able pin point anything. They sent us the estimate and I responded to the estimate to move forward with the repairs. A couple days later I call to check to see when the truck might be ready for pick up and they can not tell me as they had to order parts. I was told we can not find out when your parts might come in, could be a couple days or a couple weeks. Very frustrated, when I order something I generally ask if it is in stock just so I have an idea of timing. Waited a couple more days and called, was told parts came in and they were working on things. Then I receive an email with an updated proposal, found additional issues needed to approve more expense. My estimate is now up to $9,325.00. What can you do, you need your truck so you approve the upcharge. Wait a couple more days and call, repairs are done they need to road test in the morning and will let me know. I call them mid day for an update and we can finally pick up our truck. I send my driver with a blank, signed company check. My check is refused by some third party outfit they use like a telecheck. We have been in business since 1968, very sound company. A call to our bank would have cleared up any issue but they refused. I had to call telecheck or whom ever and try to resolve the issue. I get an automated system that asks for tons of information only to refuse the check again. I call Rush and they tell me to try the number again to get it resolved? I explain that I am getting the same automated system they are getting and there is no option to get a human being. To which they respond we go get a cashier's check. They sold me the truck on their credit, we have never missed a payment and I wrote a $50,000.00 check as the down payment which they gladly took. SO frustrating. Now I am paying an employee to sit in their lounge for half a day. I have to send our owner to pick up a cashier's check at the bank. JUST INSAINE. By the end of the day I was just sickened by the lack of compassion and CUSTOMER SERVICE. It was literally like talking to someone who was chewing on bubble gum, filing their nails and rolling their eyes while I was on the other end. To top it all off I have had the truck back for 3 days and two of the things they repaired are not working - so back I go. So displeased with this company. Would never purchase a truck there again. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! Shame on them.

I ended up going to their other location at 46th & Central. But, issues and problems their too. I'll post about that once it is out of their shop and we see what kind of work they do...so far, it was promised to be finished last Thursday...today is Tuesday, they still are "diagnosing" the problem. Their first response was to just start replacing parts...which were already just replaced, parts were bought at their dealership. My regular mechanic sent me to them because he suspects the issue is in wiring. He doesn't have a wiring diagram for this truck, so he would waste a lot of time tracking it down. In the meantime, 46th & Central is forcing me to lose money sitting idle. They seemingly dont get it.

    Eagle was assigned by Road Runner to pick up our vehicle. No…read moreshow, no calls, no return calls...for three days. This business is needs to upgrade their communication skills. The owner's response to this review (which I'm editing now) misses the whole point of the long dialogue I had with him offline. It took him THREE DAYS to tell me he "wasn't assigned" my pickup by a company HE contracts with (Road Runner). Eagle "wasn't open on the weekend" but he waits until Tuesday to respond, not to my many messages, but to this review. Take up your beef with Road Runner. I have.
