We worked back and forth with a gentleman at Advantage on a specialty trailer that was needed for a new Customer. We were given the opportunity to lease it before purchase- which we jumped on! During the course of a week, we exchanged paperwork and sent our driver out for retrieval. When I mentioned that once our driver was there and gave the trailer a once over, we would issue the 1-month lease price upfront as requested. (This was something new to me as I have never had to issue lease upfront as a company.) We were then informed not to send our driver, and they didn't have anything to offer us as they were now sending that trailer out for lease to a greenhouse to use for 3 months. The only thing that was offered to us was to try and call back in 3 months to see if they had anything available. This trailer was booked with our new customer, insurance had been handled, all contracts had been signed, and we were 2.5 hours into our 3-hour drive just to be told via email they were going a different route with the trailer. EXTREMELY unprofessional. So much for all of the little guys sticking together during these tough times in the transportation world. I would never recommend this group to anyone I know for fear of them getting screwed over the way we did. read more

Appreciate that they didn't pursue work that wasn't necessary, that they communicated well, they were easy to do business with, and they stuck to the scheduled repair (no delays). Terrible service, replacement parts and service was just not correct. Took it to another shop where we were told that none of the work is correct. Wheel was still lose. Bearing were improperly packed and improperly loaded. And attachment points for springs on trailer were very dangerous and this place completely screwed and said we were good to go... very disappointing. read more

Mark, Rocco and their team are the best. I sent them an online request on a Saturday after they closed and got a response within an hour. Brought my trailer in for an evaluation on a Monday. They were "real busy." That means it took less than 5 days to get everything taken care of. When I picked up the trailer I noticed a minor issue. They said "pull it back in." 20 minutes later we were on the road and all was well. Highly recommended!! Dan and Tyler helped me out, took great care of my Jeep and my camper. I needed a brake controller installed on my Jeep, they explained the different controllers, and gave me a discount on the installation. They did great work, installed and mounted quickly. Months later, my left turn signal on my camper stopped working, I changed the bulb, cleaned the connectors, no luck. I needed it fixed quickly for a trip the next day, they said bring it in ASAP. Dan took a look at my Jeep, we pulled out the owners manual and he taught me about fuses under the hood that control the trailer lights. Dan replaced the fuse and the issue was resolved. I bought what I thought was a brand new utility trailer from these people. I told the salesman I am an owner of a landscape company and I needed a utility trailer. The salesman was very surprised that I was a woman and had a man's job! He spent 10 or 15 minutes telling me how I shouldn't drive any heavy equipment onto the thin wire ramp on a small utility trailer. I have had a successful business for 20 years yet he kept talking down to me like I was completely inept. I was pretty insulted. I could guarantee that if I were a man and told him that I owned a landscape company he would not have felt the need to tell me the most ridiculously obvious things. We discussed what I would be using the trailer for and how much weight I would be hauling and this trailer should have been more than enough for my needs. If he would have been focused on his job he would have sold me a spare tire. He did not even mention that it did not come with one. I assumed it was mounted underneath. I found out the hard way that there wasn't one. The trailer stayed on the lot for a while and I had a box and some other things mounted on the trailer. I went to go use the trailer for my first job of the year with my new (used) Suburban , that I just bought, I put 12 bags of mulch and 5 wet rolls of sod in the trailer and 4 shrubs. I could hardly drive 30 miles an hour. I assumed it was the truck, this was the first time I pulled any trailer with this vehicle which had 146,000 miles on it. I assumed that the truck had a problem. I didn't expect it to be the " brand new" trailer. It has two moving parts. I took the truck to multiple mechanics to find out why it was having such a hard time hauling.I even found a mechanic that had the same vehicle and he could not figure out what the problem was. I have receipts for those inspections. I was just about ready to trade in the truck when I called the trailer company and ask them if the trailer hitch could make any difference with the problem I was having. I took it in there and immediately they figured out what the problem was just by wiggling the trailer back and forth. Both wheel bearings were broken! I have spent so many sleepless nights over this problem. They did immediately fix the problem. It was the least they can do. They sold me a defective product which ended up costing me money any thousands of dollars. I was so busy with work I did not have time look into this problem any deeper I just had to keep doing what I could with the trailer that I had. So for three months I had so many things delivered that I should have been able to pick up. I do not carry very heavy loads, 3 yards of mulch is the heaviest. Way under what the towing capacity should be. I was dragging around a trailer that was not moving properly for 3 months! This seriously impeded my ability to run my business. It cost me thousands of dollars in delivery fees for things I should have been able to pick up. Not to mention the extra gasoline. I was very shocked when I told the owner all about this. His first reaction was to accused me of lying ! He was accusing ME of breaking the trailer! I asked him for a refund of $2,000 which is what I paid for the trailer. I feel like I deserve compensation. I have PLENTY of documentation and witnesses to prove that the very first day I bought this trailer I have not been able to use it as it was intended. It was broken. I have receipts for truck rentals for anytime I needed to buy trees or shrubs. I have about 50 receipts for compost and mulch delivery which I should have been able to pick up. I cannot believe that the owner is calling me a liar without ever asking to see my documentation. I think they are selling used vehicles as brand new. The trailer should have been checked out before I took possession of it! I would stay away from this place!!! From what I can see there's not one woman or person of color working in this place. Not an equal opportunity employer! Some of the guys were nice but my overall experience was dreadful. read more

Highly recommend! A year and half ago I had my Tow light wiring redone since Uhaul messed up my lights big time back in 2014 on a brand new car back in Florida when I lived there. I have had three different funky trailers that Advantage has helped set right. The first time I thought the trailer lights didn't work but it turned out the wiring in my car was faulty, which they diagnosed and fixed without an appointment. The next time, I brought in a rented pop up that was pitched incorrectly, and they got me set up with the right height tongue and ball. They also creatively engineered a hookup for a trailer with a different connector from my car. The day I started this review, some moths ago, I drove in close to closing time to see why a bulb in the taillight of a trailer didn't work, and Mark replaced the bulb( which was the wrong bulb in the first place) and scraped off the corrosion and didn't charge me. I never got around to posting the review for some reason, and today I am five star pleased once again. Instead of ordering online, I turned to Advantage trailer to purchase a Thule car top carrier.
